    Carne en su jugo

Solid local taqueria! Plenty of seats and tvs with the fútbol games on. Thin crispy chips and the house salsa actually has a great kick to it. Been here a few times but these are my absolute fav: +carnitas: my preteen likes the two taco plate with rice and beans. Basics are great. Carnitas are porky. Best part: hand made tortillas!! SO good. The tacos have a surprisingly hefty amount of meat, more than any place I've ever seen. Super good +carne en su jugo: SO good. Not on the menu but was written on the wall as a special. I love this soup/stew with tender bite size chunks of beef, whole beans, a very savory saucy soup with tomatillos in it. Add in all the side toppings of onions, cilantro, radishes, and a squiggle of the smoky spicy hot sauce, and scoop it up with torn pieces of house made tortilla. Heaven on a blustery cold San Bruno evening. No seasonal fruity agua fresca but they always have tamarindo, horchata, and jamaica. Our family likes the jamaica, which is a great sweet tart complement to the porky fattiness of the carnitas. The free refill (1 refill) is a really nice plus!

The food is okay. It can be spicy and it is served with radish. The service is fast and good. Carnitas are good and crispy. It's pretty gas (good). Perfect for families after going to the beach. Small nice restaurants good salsa too. Pico is good but there's no jalapeño.

This place was so good! We were in town for work and craving Mexican food. This is the only place that was opened past 8 in the area we were in and I'm so glad we stopped by. There was only one server, but she was HUSTLING! We could immediately tell they were running a well oiled machine with the way they were communicating. The food was delicious. We both finished everything on our plate. The flan was bombbb. The inside of the restaurant was quaint, clean, and calm. 10/10 would be back if we're in town. Ooohh the chips and salsa, also good. Watch out for the salsa. It was spicy!

Super Carne Asada fries (ordered for pick up). This not on the menu but they are able to make it.

I placed a phone order for pickup around 4:15 PM, and the process was super easy. When I arrived, the restaurant was clean and well-kept, which is always a good sign. I ordered the asada fries (not on the menu- but they can make it), and I'd give it a 5 out of 10. They had potential, but the cheese just wasn't hitting, and they could've been a bit more generous with the meat.

We came from Los Angeles so it was our first time here. It was a 10 minute walk from our hotel. We were able to sit anywhere. Right as we sat they brought up chips and salsa and the menus. We took a few minutes to think about it and then we ordered. Drinks came out very fast. The super nachos took about a 5 minute wait to bring out. We finished them right as our main dishes came. The regular burrito, super burrito, and the supreme cocktail were very delicious and filling. The prices were fair for the amount of food. It did not feel stingy. Our drinks also had one free refill. We got our leftovers to go and were given to go bags and some mints. The service was quick and very friendly. The restrooms were fairly clean. The restaurant had some art and paintings which were very beautiful. Overall it was a great experience and if we're ever back in the area it is a good spot to visit.

despite my rating of my experience for today, i still recommend this place!!; and they are worth it!!! way better than my experience at Araujo's Restaurant the last time i was there, and i'm never going back unless its my last resort!!! i have been to this many times, and have had a great experience; but today fell flat on so many levels!! the food came fast as yummy/delicious as usual, and yes they were busy; but it felt like they were ignoring me or forgetting things like i asked for the check and it took like 30-hr that i had to ask again. generally their food and experience is a 5 stars, but today i could only give them a 3 out of 5!! i hope next time, i will get my usual experience!!! service: 1.5/5 ambiance: 5/5 food: 5/5 overall experience: 4/5 despite the problems 15.5/20 = a passing C

They weren't picking up the phone, so we chanced it and luckily the wait times weren't too long and we were in and out in under 20 minutes. I was hella hungry so I opted for the ceviche tostada, carne asada super burrito grilled, and a steak and shrimp quesadilla. The ceviche tostada has to be one of their most underrated menu items. Great portion size, good flavor, and all for $6.95. If you like fish ceviche, definitely recommend trying this. The burrito was amazing as usual, crazy how the flavor and quality has stayed the same over the past 20 years. Kudos to their entire team for keeping the traditions going. My parents ended up snagging my quesadilla and they were pleasantly surprised how much they enjoyed it (I wasn't lol). The quesadilla is HUGE. They pack that thing with so much shrimp and steak, it's well worth the $14.95. It also comes with sour cream and guacamole on the side. If you want something lighter but still want the great flavors, give the quesadilla a try!

"Great hole-in-the-wall Mexican near SFO airport"…read more Came here for dinner at 6pm on a Monday night, based on good Yelp reviews. The place is unassuming-- has a thin stretch of outdoor seating and a handful of tables inside. Not super bright in lighting, and a TV inside was showing a baseball game. Seemed like a lot of the business was takeout, as people would come, hover, get food, and leave. I was GOING to order the fish tacos or a fish quesadilla, but I was swayed by the picture of a breaded fish plate special. My son got the carne asada quesadilla, and others at the table got a veggie burrito and a chicken bowl. Food came out pretty quick-- maybe around or just over 10 minutes (the fish plate and veggie burrito came out slightly after the other two). I was very impressed that the fish plate looked even BETTER than the photo (see photos of both). The fish was HUGE. There was a generous helping of guacamole, lots of fresh avocado slides, some onion and cabbage, etc. There was a nice bed of lettuce on the side with sour cream over it, and the rice & beans (covered with a thin layer of cheese) on another side. The fish plate was just delicious. The batter wasn't overpowering or too heavy, and the fish was excellent inside (and very flat). I really liked the sauce in a little cup on the fish, or having it with avocado or guacamole, or even straight. The rice and beans were yummy too. Such a great dish, and it was under $20 before tax and tip. My dining companions all liked their food, though my son said the carne asada meat was "just good" (he had a bite of the chicken and said that was better). The person at the register was friendly. And as mentioned, the prices were very reasonable. I'd happily eat here again if in the area. Great portion size, great quality, good value, etc. Enjoy!

The shrimp was a bit on the chewy side, and while everything tasted fine, it didn't totally wow me. The octopus tostada had good flavor, though. The agua de hibiscus was actually one of the highlights -- perfectly balanced, not too sweet and not too plain. Super refreshing and definitely something I'd order again. The ambiance is lively and energetic, especially with the singers, but it does get pretty loud. It's open seating, so you walk in and find your own table until someone comes by with menus. Service was okay -- not super attentive, but friendly enough. On the plus side, the food came out quickly, which is always appreciated. Overall, I'd give it 4 stars. The menu offers a variety of items, and we decided on the elote tots (tater tots and elote street-style corn), an appetizer that sounded different, and for the main dishes, the nachos with added soy chorizo and the spaghetti with Poblano chili sauce, plus a side of soy chorizo. The food came quickly, and the elote tots were amazingly good! The combination of tater tots, the corn, and the cheeses (sauce and crumbled) was amazing mix of textures and flavors. The nachos were good, and the pasta with poblano sauce was also very good. The sauce was creamy, with a slight heat, and very different. The soy chorizo was not my favorite, and in the nachos, the crumbled form of the soy chorizo was better suited as an add than as a side to the pasta (maybe it was intended to be mixed in, but I wanted to eat it separately). Just too crumbled and a little dry for me. The service was great, and thanks to Dioscelyn for that. Overall, a very nice meal. We were not hurried and stayed at the table a bit to chat.
