Went to this great little hole in the wall Pizza Shop today. From the second you walk in you see the Pizza guy (Owner) making the Pizzas, Very nice Scroll type menu, & after reading thru all menu items, hubby & I decided on ordering 6 garlic rolls, 1/2 Miami Basic (tomatoes, basil, mozzarella, NO garlic & 1/2 Porky pie.(no bacon today so Owner offered us, other meats, which we picked Meatball ( instead of bacon). Rolls were delish, cooked a bit toasty, just as we requested .... then came the pizza.... this great size pie!!! First thing I noticed was it was cooked PERFECT!!!! Once I took the first bite , I could taste those big slices of tomatoes, basil , ooooyyyy gooooyyy mozzarella , bit into the crust...oh such perfect crunchiness, the dough also if I might add, was perfect!!!! Crispy, awesome flavor. The sauce had a hint of spiciness to it, which I really liked. For me the only thing I would change & if I may suggest, is I love a great Marinara full bodied chunks of tomatoes in the sauce. It's just my preference, but overall, a great quaint little place where the owner takes the time to make you a great pie!!! read more

Their pizzas are delish BUT half the time we can't order because there's an hour to an hour and half wait for a pick up order! Also if you call 30 minutes before close time they don't accept your order. So while their pies are good it's a hit or miss if your even able to place an order. read more

Lately I have been searching for pizza on Yelp, hoping that something like Blaze will open shop on this side of county line. Instead I noticed this place Pizza Project. I hate soggy pizza so this place totally gets my love for the crispy crust. The guy making the pizza told me that they use high gluten flour (oh if that sounds evil to you they also offer gluten free dough) and no egg to make this delicious crust. The toppings are mostly traditional with a few twists, such as adding coconut shreds to Hawaiian. We tried a few slices, and the pepperoni turns out to be a favorite. Reason? The small slices of "old world style" pepperoni curl into cute little cups, giving a crispier texture and a more intense flavor. You don't see this often in Miami, and never at the chains. Here the pizza only comes in one size: 18 inches. They do offer slices for $3, or lunch specials of 2 slices (or 1 slice + salad) with a drink for $6. There are quite a few choices of slices, though as usual, the ones I want most to try is not available. The caesar salad came out drenched in dressing and way too salty, so I'd stay with the pies next time. read more

Overall, pretty good pizza! We ordered a cheese, a veggie, the cauliflower crust one, and garlic knots. All were delicious! Out of the two regular pizzas, I preferred the cheese. Really great flavor. The next day both pizzas were even better. To me, that's an indicator of a great pizza. For their food I would give 4.5 stars However, the reason for the lower rating is their customer service was severely lacking and made things just feel awkward. They totally forgot our large cheese pizza, as well as a side we ordered. All the cook said was, "Oh, I'd didn't even see it on the ticket". Like what? Ok, I guess. No apology, nothing. The waitress was young and so we just chalked up her lack of communication and help to that. Won't be eating here again, but will totally order to go. read more

Definitely best and new favorite pizza place in Miami!!! Me and my wife went to have dinner and the overall experience is just magnificent!! Everybody is extremely friendly, the pizza is delicious!!! We ordered half 786 pie and half pretty flu for a white pie!!!! Ufff from the ingredients to the size everything was just amazing. I'm rating based on customer service and false info on website. Pretty disappointing when you're on a website looking at the menu and it states sold by the slice for $3 based on season but when you call, girl tells you we don't sell by the slice. Another is that I call back to actually place my order (7:42pm to be precise) to be told they are no longer accepting orders because they close at 9pm and the order will take over an hour. Wow... what a first great impression on a potential first time customer. And the sad news is, the girl wasn't even apologetic about anything... just no personality. I'm a firm believer at supporting local businesses but this one has been removed from my list. No matter how good your food is, you will lose customers if you don't appreciate them. A simple explanation would have been fine, but nothing was said just hung up. read more

They are always turning away business .Every time I'm in the mood for pizza I stop by Local pie b/c they are close to me and I like their pizza. I like my pizza with mushrooms , sautéed onions and peppers . When I give the girl my order she always replies they are out of either mushrooms or the peppers or the onions and that it's a three hour wait ! They are between two Publix super markets! I've even offered to go buy it for them. God forbid I order two hours before closing they tell you they are not accepting any more orders. I am 60 years old I have never come across a business like this . read more

LOCAL PIE - Garlic Knots - Pizza Near Me - Miami, Florida

Well I gave it another shot and... the problems continued. This time I decided to get takeout, and I read some other reviews so I knew on the weekends the wait time would be long, but this wait time was crazy. I called earlier than I usually would, just in case, and good thing I did because it was a 2 and a half hour wait for 1 pizza and 1 6pc Garlic knots. I called at around 6:30 and the pizza was indeed ready at 9:00 pm, so true to their word, but with a 2.5 hour cushion, it's expected. I ordered a Sabal's Finest pizza (pepperoni, mushrooms and garlic) and a 6pc of the Garlic Knots. Sabal's Finest This was a pepperoni, mushroom, and garlic pizza. I decided to try something different, and with only one meat this time, since last time I ordered the Porkys pizza which ended up being a greasy mess. While I admit this pizza was a bit better, the pepperoni was still really greasy, the pizza in general was greasy, but thankfully less than the Porkys, and the garlic wasn't particularly noticeable. The mushrooms on the other hand were nice and enjoyable. What I can't understand is why the pizzas are so greasy and the crust has absolutely no flavor. The crust is flavorless, bland, doesn't even have a crunch, essentially pointless. This pizza continues to try too hard to be NY pizza failing to build its own identity and flavor. And again for $24, definitely not worth it. 6pc Garlic Knots Here, I was definitely disappointed. I thought since the pizza got a bit better, maybe the Knots would get even better as well or at least stay consistent, I was sadly mistaken. The Garlic Knots sauce in the pan was just water, no thickness to it, no consistency, no flavor, just yellow water with green specs, this was really disappointing because I dipped the flavorless crust in this sauce last time to make use of it, that was no longer possible. The knots themselves were fine, but still need cheese, and with the lack of a decent sauce, it was really underwhelming. Still, 6pc for $5 is a decent deal and worth it, but they have to be consistent. In the end, giving Local Pie a second shot didn't go as planned and didn't exactly work out, but maybe someday they can get it right, till then they really have to lean on those Garlic Knots and make them a consistent hit every time, because the pizza is overpriced and never hits right. read more

Went to this place out of recommendation from my friend. The experience was nothing short of astounding. The place is small. But if you can take advantage and eat there it's worth it. This pizza was baked to perfection thin crust and perfect sauce (which is incredible) to cheese ratio with. I've can't wait to go back and get another pie. read more

This pizza was delicious. It was crispy, fresh and burning hot just the way I like it! The owner is a super cool dude and his wife owns the coffee shop next door. I can't believe I hadn't tried this place and they've been open for a year already! This pizza will seriously have you eating like the locals. We got half and half and the two flavors were FIRE!!!!! This IS my local pizza joint for the last few years with the most recent owners. Pizza has consistently met my expectations. The white pizza with caramelized onions is THE BEST. Love how I can do half of what I want and the other half can be customized or from their menu. Pizza pies are large...if you enjoy pizza for breakfast simply Reheated on the stove top with a non-stick pan. The crust becomes crispy yet not hard and dry. Their crust is a secret recipe. 4 out of 5 stars as I've waited over an hour for pizza due to how busy they get. I know what I'm getting and know it's worth the wait but others might not share the same sentiment. read more

Pizza Project is recently under new management and is not as good as before. The Tuesday special has gone from $1.50 per slice to $2 per slice- a 33% increase. Also, not all menu items are included in the special; we were told the buffalo chicken is not included because the chicken is too expensive. There is also a revised menu, and not all of the pizzas are the same. The taste is not as good either, as they seem to be using a different tomato sauce. read more

The place is super cute and the customer service was excellent. We ordered the 18" half goodfella and half pepperoni pie and the garlic rolls. The pizza not only was HUGE but it was crispy and full of flavor the Goodfellas Pie has fresh tomatoes, basil and fresh garlic and the pepperoni had the right amount of fresh homemade red sauce and tons of cheese and the pepperoni looked like little cups which it was delicious and super cute too. Local pie has become my go to pizza place. It is delicious pizza! They have great variety and creative flavors. They even have cauliflower and gluten free crusts. I'm not a pepperoni fan and I cannot stress how good their roni rolls are!!!! We keep going back and can't get enough! Even on our diets, Local pie has become our "cheat" meal. The pizza is thin and the crust is crispy. The owners are extremely friendly and really care about the community! It's a real neighborhood asset! I only wished I lived closer hahah Had to update this: Seriously the BEST cauliflower crust!!!!! So good my husband stole my pizza!!! This was a place on my friend's list of restaurants to visit and I just happened to tag along. The place is a little hidden and I'd have never known. It's a cozy little place and the staff was really nice and friendly. They helped us with our orders since it was our first time there and we were a little lost. We ended up getting a large pizza with half of it being Hawaiian and the other half being veggie. The pizza was gooood and I'm choosy about the sauce and the crust when it comes to pizza but this was the perfect balance. The crust was neither too thick nor too thin and the sauce wasn't overpowering. We also got the garlic knots. They were dripping with oil but they tasted nice. These guys make a total project out of pizza. Super friendly and in the same plaza as Tacos & Tattoos! I usually order for pick up! My fav? Hawaii Pie-0! It's your typical hawaiian pizza + coconut shavings on top. I usually HATE coconut shavings (not a fan of the texture), but these come out so perfectly toasted... you get all the slight sweetness of coconut, but with none of the cardboard chewy texture of the actual coconut shavings. After that, order up some Goodfellas!! Mmmm-mmmm. :) I love a basic pie with just tomatoes/basil and cheese. :) Also, when these are hot out of the oven, the pizza itself has the perfect amount of crisp. Love. It. I try not to eat a slice in the car after picking my order up, and that is a complete lesson in self-discipline. ;) I def want to try one of their meatball pizzas next time (most likely the 786)... if I can just convince myself not to order the Hawaii Pie-0. I stumbled upon this place when Tacos and Tattoos was next door and it's worth making the drive out here for this pizza! LOCAL PIE IS THE BOMB Okay, it's been a while since I reviewed a restaurant and I'm bursting with great news for all you pizza fans. As luck would have it, my son Robert and his wife Devin moved into Sable Chase. The epicenter of this neighborhood is an unassuming tiny cluster of restaurants, one of which just happens to have THE BEST pizza I have ever had. Not only that, the couple who owns it - Eric and Vannesa - are great, friendly, and thus it has a fabulous following. It's like unwinding at the end of a long day and finding yourself in a pizzeria that contains all your favorite people. It's chill, it's fun, and the food is phenomenal. Eric has invented the most amazing combinations for his pizzas, which is pretty great, but what never fails to blow my mind are his paper thin crusts that deliver a wonderful light crunch and hold up under any of the ingredients he piles on. Did I mention the inventive names of his pies are killer? So last night I ordered a pie called Hawaii Pie-O. I had to try it. It's topped with pineapple, a really thin and flavorful ham, and a slightly sweet toasted coconut which really makes this pie pop. Amazing. Gonna order this one again in the very near future. His other pie names are Garden of Eden, Native Goat, Chatty Cathy, Las Gallinas, Soprano Pie, and Pretty Fly for a White Pie. And there are others! Eric makes his own dough, which he's happy to sell to you if you want to make your own pizza at home. Last night I ate my pizza but then asked for his dough so I could take it home and toss it in my own kitchen. Eric's dough is totally exquisite. You must try it. Soon.
