The reason why I'm only giving him 1 Star is because he ended up charging me a whole different price than what we had discussed over the phone prior to arriving to our house. Also, towards the end of the transaction he charged me for spending two hours fixing my locks when he really only spent one full hour at most. During our first conversation we only discussed the price per lock and a fee for driving out to my house which was also included additionally in the final charge. The job was done correctly but did not appreciate the extra what I consider to be a hidden fee. At the end, it turned out to be too pricey. Won't be using his services again. read more

He showed up on time and in a mask, to repair my jammed lock. Great professionalism and very skillful. It was fun to watch! He fixed my lock and even cut new keys, all in less than about 20 mins. Took the time to explain what caused the lock to jam and the key to break, and made sure to realign and lubricate the lock. I hope I don't need them again, but they'll be the first company I call. Our new front door handle did not fit our old handle measurements, so I called Lock Stop and Key for a proper installation. On the phone they asked what was the problem and I said it the new door handle set was about an inch longer than the pre-exiting hole. I asked for an estimate for their work. The fellow on the phone said it would be $59 for them to come out and about $150 for the installation. The awesome part was that they could be here within 40 minutes - that impressed me and figured the cost was doable. Repair man was here in 30 minutes - nice! and after looking over the door informed us that he would need to use filler to make it work - it would take 12 hours to dry and would need to come back to install. Not sure I wanted to compromise the integrity of the door decided to buy another door set instead. In wrapping up the deal, asked that I now owe him $59 for the visit. He said there was an inspection charge on top of the $59.- and it would cost another $15- a deal, he says. But I complain, I was not told about that! Insisting that is how it works - I paid him the $74 for showing up - beware -of those extra charges! read more

Josh is a stand up guy!!! Lost my car keys and needed it replaced and he came through right away. I own an '06 RSX so I had to purchase one of those keys with a chip and he had to special order a remote for me which he came back and programmed for me a couple days later. The process took about an hour because of some complexity with my door panel but still got the job done. He also offers the $25 off on orders over $125 so that was a big plus. Most places charge about the same but with his discount it was the best bargain.
