Josh is a stand up guy!!! Lost my car keys and needed it replaced and he came through right away. I own an '06 RSX so I had to purchase one of those keys with a chip and he had to special order a remote for me which he came back and programmed for me a couple days later. The process took about an hour because of some complexity with my door panel but still got the job done. He also offers the $25 off on orders over $125 so that was a big plus. Most places charge about the same but with his discount it was the best bargain. I call Josh, based on his 5-star Yelp rating, to see if he could try to extract a part of a door/ignition key that broke off in the driver's door lock of my old Nissan Maxima. He was very polite and accommodating, and set an appointment for the next morning. Quoted me only $25 if he could do it without taking off the door panel or $85 if he had to do that (an hour+ of work.) Although I decided to retire the car thru the BAAQMD program rather than fix adn try to sell, I was very impressed with his response time, his approach, his willingness to work with me and his more than fair prices. I cant praise them enough. We locked our car keys in the trunk of our new model Mercedes in Guerneville - we were stuck without cell signal for hours on a Sunday. AAA wouldnt touch it - our only option appeared to be towing our car 80 miles to a Mercedes Dealership in SF. He was the ONLY locksmith that would attempt such a job - he made the long trip to us realizing we were really stuck. He arrived literally the minute he said he would - and worked for well over an hour and a half to get inside our trunk and retrieve our keys. Second time I wanted to have my garage door keyed, especially since I was not able to get my car out during the fires. Turns out it's not the key but an electrical issue. They offered me a same-day appointment. Tyler assessed a sticky deadbolt lock and determined it could be fixed rather than replaced. Even though it was quite an old lock, with lubrication and adjustment of the strike plate, it works like new. Very fair price for the work. read more

I spent decades in the automotive business and was associated with one of the premier specialist import repair businesses in San Francisco and know how expensive it can be if you lose all the keys to a modern motor vehicle so I was concerned when I misplaced one of the two keys that came with my Toyota pick up truck. The dealer wanted a bit over $200 (plus tax) for the key with the three buttons and an additional $169 to program it so the car would start. I called and spoke with Josh. He would have saved me over $100 for the same key and programming but he suggested a key without the buttons to remotely lock and unlock the car that would cost $80, including the programming! The whole process, cutting the key and then programming it took about 10 minutes, the dealer was charging what must be one hour labour. Friendly, competent and the added plus, Josh is a vet who served our country. He ended up saving me over $300 as the dealer never even mentioned the less expensive key. read more

I think it took less than 5 minutes to re-key my door. He also offered me advice on how to make access to my home safer for me in case of a lost key. He advised me how to make my house more secure recommending different locks for my door and using a strategically placed lock box to hide a key.
