Fig & Pig Melt & side salad
    Leah M.

Stopped in and it was really busy but service was good and the food delicious! Friend had the Wedge Steak salad and I the Pig & Fig Melt. Even the side salad was dressed perfectly. Pretty tasty and even though staff was running around a bit, friendly & attentive!

Went here for lunch while touring the area. Had a Modelo, champagne and bloody Mary at happy hour prices all day for $3 each. Enjoyed the cheeseburger with fries as well as an individual pizza and also a Philly cheese dip with onion rings. Super busy but service was good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Sat outside by the river. So pretty and comfortable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Best restaurant in the area IMO

My first time up to Horseshoe Bend. Met up with a friend for a meal. Menu is great, but we opted for breakfast. I got the western skillet, my friend chose the Horseshoe. Basic breakfast, but done well. Great attention from our server, who admitted she made a mistake and threw away our order ticket, so the kitchen never got it! I absolutely appreciated Sunshine's honesty and she took our order again. We were in no hurry. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant looks clean, loved the rustic and vintage decor.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Seasons are changing here, but this place has so much to offer in outside activities. Patio on the river, games, music...I will definitely be back![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This is my third time here, and this time a group of friends came. Everyone loved the service and the food and it is worth driving there. This is my second review and I can't wait to come back again. Our service was great, we didn't get thirsty, the food was fresh and delicious.

Let me start out by saying I love the renovations they've done to the place since I was here years ago! Really fun environment to stop along the river inside and out. The onion rings were wonderful and overall food tasty. A few things to be aware of- nowhere on the menu did we see certain sides were extra, but when your meal says one side, the sides are limited. Also our server was nice, but she had a "Let's Go Brandon " t-shirt on. I didn't even know what that meant- my husband had to explain. I'm all for free speech but I believe in having respect for our President even if you don't like him. Dogs are welcome outside and it's peaceful.

Parking: Plenty of parking in the lot Location: This was my ~halfway stop from Boise to Pine Flats Springs. Very pretty views. Wish I was able to sit outside to look at the water up close, but it was hot! Staff: Decent. They acknowledge you as soon as you come through the door. Ambience: Great for families. Casual. Reminds me of Black Bear Diner. Food: Everything we had was satisfying, but the berry pie was the best dish of all. Forgot to take a picture of the Pesto Chicken Sandwich and the chocolate shake, but both were great as well. The shake was unique as you mix (I think) chocolate syrup with the milk instead of it already being done for you. It was aesthetically pleasing. Wifi: Reliable and free! Just ask for the password. The reason why it lost a star was because I was constantly shooing away flies from the table. Quite annoying!

We had lunch here, it's a beautiful place to come with kids since they have a play area. The burgers were great but the chicken wrap was cold and tasteless. The service was confused and late.

    Amazing a hit!

Burgers are generally one of two kinds, A smoosh burger eschews vegetables and is lots of meat and cheese sometimes with grilled onions and bacon. The second type is a crunch burger with pickles, lettuce, tomatoes and onions, usually all cut on the thick side. Think of a very basic salad on a bun that they tossed a patty and cheese on almost as an afterthought, it crunches and makes noise as you eat it. I am definitely in the crunch burger camp, so weight everything else accordingly. This is definitely a smoosh burger place, their main burger, available in single, double or cripple, is meat, cheese, and bacon forward. I asked for pickles, lettuce, tomatoes and onions on mine and the cook is obviously not a crunch burger fan as they were there but sparse. Lettuce is shredded, onions are thinly cut. This said, I did notice something, there was essentially zero Mallard Reaction on the patties. If you do steak, pretty much any meat, Mallard Reaction is when the surface browns and you develop that wonderful flavor. This would have ben a much better smoosh burger with that sear on it. The french fries are closer to what anyone who has traveled to Europe would call Frites... this is a VERY good thing! Not sure how they prep their fries here, but frites are typically half fried, pulled out, go back in the freezer, and are finished later. This given a very crisp exterior, but a center that is very soft and moist, delightful! I have never met a person that dislikes fries like this. This method also leaves the little surface bumps as seen in the picture. So... Good smosh burger but maybe ask for it well done so you get the browning Just okay when turned into a crunch burger unless you are very clear about wanting lots of veggies. Heavenly fries (frites) Yes they have fry sauce, its to the left of the counter in the mini fridge Coke beverages Yes I will be back... for anther try at a crunch burger!
