Huckleberry blue burger with onion rings
Krysta B.

This place is amazing. The staff is super friendly. In fact, Katy was such an amazing server. She gave suggestions and recommendations for dessert even. When you are passing through on your way to Stanley, ID, this is definitely a place to stop. It is small but not loud. There is seating on the patio but today it is 95 so no way Jose. Hubby had the huckleberry blue burger with onion rings and I had the BLT with fries. Homemade fresh fries! It seams fresh made. If I come back to Stanley, I will stop in, eat some great grub and say hello to Katy!!!!!

Very cute place, nice esthetic and cute decor. Staff was super friendly and provided recommendations that were great. The Huckleberry Blue cheese burger was surprisingly good. Good combo of sweet and savory. The banana cream pie I thought was a little too much. It is HUGE and when you're expecting a "slice" and what feels like the whole pie comes out its a bit much. Could have easily been shared between 2 or 3. Our waitress Katy was great. Would definitely stop by again if in the area.

Salmon BLTA

We were seated right away when we walked in. Quickly we were brought a couple of iced waters. She gave us a few minutes then took our order. My friend got the Huckleberry burger with onion rings. I ordered the salmon BLTA with fries. Both were good although slightly over cooked. The burger was good with the flavors of the jam and bleu cheese mixing. Hand-cut fries, not that frozen business. Our server was friendly and attentive. They were really busy, But there is plenty of seating inside. The pies looked good but we were too full for dessert.

Fried fish (cod) plate with a side of mashed potatoes and soup of the day

The food was very tasty. The restaurant has a nice, small town dinner atmosphere. The service was great. Our waitress took good care of us and made some excellent food recommendations. Very reasonably priced with a large selection of food choices to include breakfast favorites like pancakes and local dishes like Idaho steak fingers. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a meal in Idaho City.

Flat hard eggs over a few ingredients and we call this a omelette

Several of us flew to breakfast today. The positive our waitress was fast and sweet! I wish I could tell you the food was good I'd have to say it's hard to screw up breakfast but it happened. Probably the worst omelette I've had in years! No fluff at all it was hard eggs over a few ingredients! Another breakfast at the table was stale oatmeal

What a great spot in what seemed like the middle of nowhere. Stopped at the store next door and lady at the counter recommended Trudy's. So glad we did.

Steak fingers. The thick ones on the left are the steak fingers.

We stopped in Trudy's because my husband really wanted to try the Idaho specialty known as "steak fingers." My husband was so happy with his choice. I tried one and haven't say the streak was delicious. I had a wonderful patty melt and I had sone wonderful potato salad. Highly recommend this place.

We stopped by here for lunch after a morning at the hot springs and it was the perfect spot to hit before the drive back home. It was beautiful covered in snow on the outside! The server was friendly and attentive made it easy on us... simple lunch we got a BLT and French dip... the onion rings were very good! Fries needed a bit of seasoning... the BLT was your standard sandwich it was good thick cut bacon which was delicious! And then we ended our meal with pie, we also got a blueberry pie crumble it was so good! Easy quick place to grab a good bite!

Good food friendly service. Everything was fresh and you can tell it was made in house and not from a can or frozen

Hamburger was pretty good and onion rings nice. That's all we had. It got super crowded before 1. Country kitchen ambiance.

Leon's Cafe - Chicken sandwich with Swiss and bacon

Weekday visit with our side by side. Not busy but service and food were delicious. Burgers, fries…read moreand onion rings! Yum! Won't be disappointed.

Stopped in at Leon's for late lunch with my traveling companion, passing through on way to Boise,…read moreIdaho. Cafe's interior is typical small town ambiance and decor; we were the only seated guests. My companion enjoyed his reuben sandwich and said he'd order it again for sure. I ordered a bowl of chili (with a request to hold the usual cheese topping). What follows is the pro and the con about the chili. Pro: the bowl contents arrived hot and, as requested, minus the cheese. Con: Chili is chili is chili (you know, reliably plump beans and hamburger beef simmered with other robust ingredients, in a spicy tomato base). This arrived to me looking like, um, cat yak? I thought maybe they accidentally delivered the local feral cat's Fancy Feast Creamy Delight dinner to me instead of chili. Despite its ghostly appearance, I opted to be a good sport and try it. Whatever this culinary crime was, it was NOT chili. It was not only weirdly creamy but also VERY bland, and had a few mysterious tiny bits of something or other floating in it. When I used my spoon to search for beans I did find ONE object somewhat shaped like a tiny white bean, and it may have been an actual bean? I found no beef, no tomato, no onion, no spice. I am usually a dedicated clean-my-plate diner but this 'chili' slime crime was beyond the pale. Happily when the restaurant server noted that I had not eaten much he opted to not charge me.
