Coming back to my hometown meant I needed a place to stay, and the Lockport Inn & Suites delivered the kind of hospitality that seems harder and harder to find these days. I arrived very late, and by the time I checked in, most of the local restaurants had already closed. I figured dinner wasn't happening. That's when Mark at the front desk stepped in and offered me a slice of pizza and a few leftover wings. After a long day of travel, that simple gesture meant more than he probably realized. When you're hungry, it's late, and you're back in your hometown, kindness like that leaves an impression. This is more of an old-school hotel, and I mean that as a compliment. Real drinking glasses instead of plastic cups. Friendly people. A comfortable atmosphere. It has a nostalgic feel that reminded me of a simpler time. The location was perfect for everything I wanted to do while visiting Western New York, making it easy to reconnect with places and memories that matter to me. Is it the newest, fanciest hotel around? No. But it offers something that's becoming rare--genuine hospitality and people who care about their guests. Very nice accommodations! And very friendly. We were looking for a place to stay and they helped us out!!

We have been traveling across the country for several years.. I belong to a group of women motorcycle riders and we enjoy our time out seeing the country.. This motel and the folks who run it absolutely made our visit there so wonderful.. The hotel is just a gem!. A wonderful area to sit outside and enjoy. When you enter the room , you are just amazed at the size.. A couch, a table, two beautiful wing back chairs, The beds are so comfortable and the pillows are a dream.. And outside the bathroom sink as well ask one in the shower/toilet area. This really makes it wonderful for a couple of people to get ready. This was our first time staying here. A very pleasant surprise. This family owned hotel beats the major chains. They still use keys for the room doors. Desk attendant was very friendly. We had a suite. It was very well maintained and comfortable. The bed was comfortable, there was a microwave, refrigerator, coffeemaker. There're are 4 separate buildings. We had a room at the back of the property. The hotel is on the main highway. We heard no traffic noise. They even supplied wine glasses and a corkscrew. This was a first for us. November 5, 2023 We had a WONDERFUL five-day stay at the Lockport Inn and Suites while we visited family! We will definitely stay there again! It's family owned and operated and they treated us with kindness and genuine hospitality. Our room was located in the new section in the back and VERY QUIET! What a beautiful site when we entered the room. It was BIG (about 1,000 sq. feet) and BEAUTIFUL! My husband and I couldn't believe our eyes! We enjoyed a soft leather rocker/recliner, electric fireplace, coffee maker, refrigerator and microwave oven, a shower and jacuzzi, two queen size poster beds and the room was cleaned daily as well fresh linens & sheets. Beautiful gazebos and flowers beds were planted all around the property. Also loved the bronze lawn statues of children, angels and animals that were placed around the garden areas. If I could put zero stars, I would. This is not a kid friendly establishment. 2 Managers came to advise that there was no noise allowed at 7:30Pm. Not 7:30 AM, not the morning, but 7:30PM. We were singing karaoke, not even playing loud music. They should pay people to stay here! read more

How anyone has ever rated this beyond one star is beyond me. I was traveling for business, this place is the stuff horror movies are made out of and had it not been on a main road I would have re-booked with personal funds elsewhere. It screamed horror movie all over it. Disgusting carpeted bathroom, hair on the towels, some towels even still wet, mold & rust in the shower that wouldn't drain while I was showering, stains on the curtains. I had to sleep in my clothes. Could not to connect to their internet either! The place is terribly outdated, sketchy and not clean whatsoever The place screams rape, drug deals and murder. Stayed here after a summer wedding at a nearby vineyard. I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the room. We stayed in an older room, but the a/c worked, and the bathroom and room was clean. Had a jacuzzi tub and fridge/microwave in the room. Our room was definitely more retro than some of the other rooms our friends were staying in. Overall a good experience and the staff was friendly. One con was the pool closed early, so no swimming after 9pm. There were gazebos on the property which offered a place to sit and chat with friends at night. Also... the property was covered with white statues of various animal and human creatures....... enjoy that yelpers! read more

Always wonderful. The rooms are unique. Beds are super comfy, and wonderful. Rooms are very easy to live in for a couple days.

First off this is not your best western thankfully. It is a small motel that is truly a beautiful gem in the area. We had7 ppl in our party and they accommodated us with2 rooms that join. It is clean. Quiet. Well kept. The pool is clean and just perfect for the area. Our room had two phones, a nice ceiling fan(unusual for hotel but awesome). Outside seating. Ice, Wi-Fi. However like most out concern lies in cleanliness and it is by far one of the cleanest I've been in. It is hard to find a clean hotel when you're states away. We are from Michigan visiting Niagara falls which are 35 country min away heading over to the mountains. This leave amazing and we thank them for a great stay. If I could give this a 3.5 I would, but I have to go on the lower side of things. Check in was easy, and I was greeted by a nicer older lady. Got my keys quickly, and we go to our room. The room looked clean, bed sheets were from the 1980's, but it was nicely made and no major issues. We go to the bathroom and it has a carpet. That may be the first bathroom that I have ever seen a carpet. It honestly freaked me out. I wish I could take a black light to the carpet by the toilet. At second thought, it might be better to be ignorant. We went to our wedding, came back, and the next morning I went to make coffee instead of trekking to the the main office in the cold. I open the coffee pot, and there is a lovely fine layer of dust and dirt inside the coffee pot. Guess it wasn't meant to be. It was a reasonable place, but it could be a really decent place. We spent $100 for our room, and honestly I don't feel ripped off, just some things freaked me out. read more

This is the second time we have stayed here. The first time we stayed in the moderately priced rooms with a jacuzzi - style tub. The second time around we upgraded to a room with cathedral ceilings and a larger space. The larger room was 189 dollars after taxes. I also like the fact that all the bathrooms are carpeted. We love this establishment because it's quiet here and great customer service on both visits. There is a great restaurant just next door as well. read more

The hotel is dated, but that's part of its charm. The gardens are nice to look at, and our room was well kept and clean. My only qualm (and it is a large one) is the smoking. There is an ashtray on every table, outside every room, and in every corner. Subsequently, everything stinks. My family and I couldn't go outside without being enveloped in a cloud of carcinogenic smoke. Please reconsider your smoking policy and dedicate a small area outside away from the rooms where people can smoke. Non-smokers should not have to be subjected to someone else's poor and unhealthy habits. read more

Seeing the pics and reading about the carpeted bathroom, I'm relieved that the guy at the desk didn't want our kind in his establishment when we tried to get a room after a day pounding stakes for a nearby vineyard. He probably thought we'd get up to no good, but we were upfront about how many people we intended to have in the room, okay with going outside to smoke, and wanted a receipt for taxes--all legit business, but we have piercings in places other than our ears and style a bit outside bourgeois standards, so the guy had to show his bigotry and tell us he didn't have any rooms while the curtains in all the rooms were open and obviously unoccupied. We found the staff at the Best Western up the road much more accommodating and pleasant. read more

This place looks like it was decorated once in the 80's and was never touched again. If they renovated, it might be a nice place. Also, it seemed kind of costly for what you get. We had no other choice due to other hotels in the area being booked. We had many (9) families in our party in town for a baseball tournament. The motel was nice on the outside. The rooms were clean but extremely dated - for the price of the room. We've stayed at many places and this was not bad...but they definitely not kid friendly. They did not like the teenage boys walking around in groups and even kept walking by us adults who gathered outside a room to unwind. Felt like we were being watched like a hawk. The kicker came when the boys let us know that the room keys (given out loose not on a key ring) opened all of the doors! So make sure you deadbolt your door. All in all, it was a place to sleep. The beds were comfortable and clean, I just really thought it was expensive for how dated everything was. Wonderful! We decided to stay a bit away from Niagara Falls during our 4-night visit to see the falls as we didn't like the Niagara area (rundown) or overpriced hotels (what a shame as falls themselves are beautiful). While Lockport was about 30 minutes away, we have no regrets! Lockport Inn & Suites is family-owned ... by a wonderful, friendly, and caring family, I might add. Rooms reminded me of the 1980's, which hubby and I quite enjoyed! But don't let that raise your eyebrow if not your thing because more importantly they were very clean, large, well equipped, and bed was incredibly comfortable! On a main road but rooms are sound proof...I was amazed how quiet it was as our room was a 2nd floor suite with the bedroom on the road side. By staying here we were also able to enjoy the Erie Canal (boat ride, caves, and tour where we could manage a lock) ... something we wouldn't have done if staying in Niagara Falls. The owners really care about this place and their guests. Would surely stay again! read more

We are frequent travelers and have never experienced such hospitality and lovely setting at any price. Will never stay anywhere else when visiting Western New York. Quiet, safe and secure, but with all modern amenities.You would be a fool to pick any other hotel in Western New York at any price, regardless of proximity to your destination. In fact, we had reservations at a well known hotel chain, and cancelled reservations there after one night here. We even ate the $100 cancellation charge at the other hotel to continue our stay at Lockport Inn and Suites. Stayed here while on a bike tour with my family. We were entirely pleased; we had room 119, which is one of the buildings in the back, and it was very clean, updated, and comfy. They had us store our bikes in a locked shed out back, which was perfectly fine with us. We spoke with several of the staff/owners, and they were all perfectly friendly and helpful. This is a family owned and run motel. Very clean and comfortable room and the people behind the desk are exceptionally friendly and accommodating. We stayed for three night and the first room they placed us in was a bit small for a family of three. I went to the front desk and for $10 more (regular price) they put us in a room that was as large as the first floor of my house, with chacoozi, a second phone in the bathroom (You can sit on the john and order a pizza), two queen size beds, refrigerator, microwave, large screen TV, Dinette table and soft victorian high-back chairs, sitting area with couch, desk, A/C and windows that actually open. There are real flowers everywhere and the pool was very clean and inviting. There is a Garden with a gazebo and statuary everywhere, tastefully done I might add. I actually did not wan't to leave, and being that we were there to visit family that are local... I will always stay here even though it is a 25 minute drive to where my family lives and I pass a plethora of other hotels on the way. Well worth the drive. There is shopping and restaurants everywhere. A++++++++++++ Just be sure to ask for a large room. read more
