We had booked a room when we were traveling out for the funeral of our mother. It was a tough time for all of us. We had stayed here the previous year after the death of our father. Based on our previous stay, we prepaid for a room. However, there was a blizzard in Buffalo (27 inches of snow!) and we couldn't make the trip that day. We asked to move the reservation back two days; they would not budge. We asked for a refund; they said no. We had AAA get involved and still the manager would not move our reservation and would not offer a refund or even a credit. It was quite heartless at a time when we were already dealing with the loss of our mom (and father the year before) and stressed with travel in a blizzard. BOOK ELSEWHERE. Stayed here one night as it was close to one of the tournament hockey rinks. Overall a good stay. Rooms were clean. Breakfast was decent. There's also coffee and tea 24/7 and one of the front desk ladies baked cookies, which was a nice treat. Would come again if ever in the area. read more

First time to Lockport, New York to visit my sister. How fortunate to find this exceptional hotel only about 7 miles from her home and convenient to the freeways and turnpike for getting there and departing. VERY clean, both in the spacious rooms and in all common areas. The amenities provided were excellent, like an expensive hotel. (I have stayed in Ritz Carlton and rate this Hampton Inn as better). The continental breakfast available was excellent. Every staff member we encountered was both professional and personable. I saw a negative comment about the incidental charge and all I can say, my opinion, is "grow up"; it is paid back to you in 5 days as long as you don't steal something or unreasonably damage something. I found not one negative thing at this hotel; although turning left from the parking lot to the busy highway could take some time. read more

I actually overheard the staff complaining that management won't buy cleaning supplies. Just unreal that a supposedly high-end hotel is such a dump. Stay away. Far away. We booked a night at the Hampton Inn in Lockport because we had a wedding to attend in Becker Farms the distance is not very far. The wedding that we attended booked 40 rooms and all of us received great service! They let the bride use one of their conference rooms for her to get ready with her bridesmaids. The breakfast buffet was so good they even had fresh juices! The rooms were very clean everything seem very up-to-date they also have an indoor pool which is great for families! read more

If the breakfast options were better then what equates to microwave prepared food it would bump it up a star. Stayed in room 417 which was on the backside of the hotel not the side facing the main road so it was very quiet. The room was clean, quiet, comfortable. Great lighting in the bathroom to do makeup. The shower handle was not under the showerhead which was nice because it keeps you from being under the cold water when you turn on the shower. Although the barn door bathroom door was cute in theory it's really awkward as it offers zero noise privacy. Bed was comfy however, the duvet cover did not want to stay on the bed even though neither my husband nor I toss and turn while sleeping. There is only one entrance which is easy to miss if you aren't familiar with the area. The staff was nice and helpful I recommend you try the New York Beer project for great local beer and good food. If it was possible to right a zero review.. that's what I'd do. Unfortunately, we decided to come visit the Hampton for my husbands birthday with our children. We left our babysitter with them for not even twenty minutes before we got the call that there were bedbugs underneath the pillow and sheet. I have never been more disgusted, we turned right around and were frantically getting everyone out without contaminating anymore of our belongings. Long story short, customer service really didn't care and never came to look at it. We will never stay there again. Would not recommend. read more

Problems always start at the top and that would be the Hotel Manager, Bree. She not only lied once but continually lied when I spoke to her about the issue I had when staying there. I requested my garbage be emptied and fresh towels every day. Never happened. It was requested every single day from Friday-Monday. I was told it would be noted. I even called Hilton Honors and told them this needed to be done and they requested it from the hotel as well. I went to the desk to extend my stay a day, the front desk told me they couldn't do it, I would have to call Hilton Honors and they could do it. I asked for an extra blanket, the guy at the desk gave us a duvet cover. A sheet would've been thicker than that. I provided credit card to use at check in which was different than the one I reserved the room with. I made it clear that was the one to be used, they used the one I reserved with. Bree, The Hotel Manager, told me she trains all her staff. So who is the problem? The staff or the trainer? I could go into a ton of detail about all of Bree's lies, but I'll spare you the details, it could take all night. I was appalled. Lastly, the back door was broken, so it was being propped open by other guests all the time. For 6 days it stayed that way. So if you're concerned about safety, this is an issue. (It was also broken when I stayed at this hotel the previous year or maybe two) I would definitely look at the new hotel down the street. I believe it's the Holiday Inn. That's where I'll be going. a very clean and well maintained hotel, the staff are all very friendly. Rooms are neat and tidy, they have a microwave, coffee, and a mini fridge in the room. A 10-day stay and I left prematurely with nowhere else to go, just determined not to stay there because every single time I extend my stay another two or three days they want to charge me an additional $75 incidental fee. It seems real sketchy that you have to keep taking a $75 incidental fee from me with a promise of "Don't worry, you'll get it back." every single time I want to extend my stay. To top it off, my Godmother and sisters paid my stay a couple of those days with their honor rewards points, but yet they still took $75 from me. That's not right. Something real sketchy with that, and I still have not received either of those payments back yet. It didn't take this long for them to take it from me, why is it taking this long for them to give it back. Any good thing I would be able to say about the hotel is ruined from this one experience. I want my money back. I will wait for a few more days to see if I receive it, and if not, I'm ready to run a whole smear campaign on them all over social media. We have been on the road now for about 8 days and this is the 2nd time we have stayed in an Hampton Inn (the first was in North Conway, New Hampshire). This hotel is super clean, with absolutely no "stink" of stale smoke, (3 nights were spent in Springhill Suites, in two separate locations, and despite the fact they are theoretically smoke free hotels, they were horribly stinky!!!). This room is very nicely appointed (3 hooks in the bathroom - great), lots of fluffy towels (no need to request a 4th-super!), two rolling hassocks that allow one to put up their feet after a long day on the road (truly wonderful!), a microwave & mini- refrigerator (great!), good lighting (facilitates reading and computer work quite nicely), a wash cloth/towel rack inside the shower (as well as on the outside - very convenient), and plenty of space to put two or more suitcases (sadly, that's quite unusual). There were 4 luggage carts (which is most unusual and so convenient) and the front desk staff was very personable. I wish the bedroom window opened because we are on the 3rd floor and I do love fresh air at night, but sadly it doesn't. Thats the only negative I have discovered thus far. I can't attest to the comfort of the bed yet because I am writing this before "we hit the hay", but I suspect it will quite nice. Further, there is an included breakfast that I can't comment on until tomorrow morning. Again, I strongly suspect it will be more than adequate. If you need a place to stay in Lockport New York I strongly suggest you give this Hampton Inn a try. read more

Had a really wonderful visit while in Lockport for my grandmother's funeral. Historically, there have been no choices for hotels when visiting in Lockport, and we usually sacrifice distance for comfort, as the nicer hotels are in Buffalo. However, we now can stay here and be close AND comfortable! Friendly staff, clean and modern rooms. Good WiFi for free of course. Comfty bed and EXCELLENT air conditioned rooms. Quiet too, couldn't hear other guests. Free hotel breakfast. Don't be picky people, it's free, and there are waffles, fresh fruit, meat, potatoes, etc. Love the coffee and tea bar available 24/7. We used the lobby gathering space to gather at the end of each day with a hot beverage. This place really was a welcome respite in a pretty crummy weekend. Overall good experience - except the pool. My daughter, as well as several other guests in our group, came out with red, burning skin. Shower seems to have helped, but getting into the shower & water hitting her skin had her nearly in tears. I'm not sure the people here know how to use the chemicals. read more

PLEASE DON'T GO HERE -- Pathetic experience ! Hotel looks all new, shiny and clean but staff is just insane. These guys should not be in hospitality business. I don't know how can Hilton put them up to run this hotel. Shame on you ! Breakfast runs till 10:00 put 5 mins before, while you are eating the door is closed on your face and with kids still in pantry. No apologetic behavior when we said there is a kids inside. Found a staff member yelling at our table while kids were giggling. Getting yelled at in front of other guests was quite insulting. When reported to higher hotel management, the front desk became defensive (without even enquiring about matter) and said you guys must be mis-behaving :) Given their extreme defense seems like it is family run and the mom was in kitchen while daughter was at desk. Three stars is probably too high, but the third star is for being a brand new hotel. The hotel was built very cheaply, you will be able to hear the people above you walking. When I was in the bathroom, I could hear the man in the bathroom next to our room and their conversation. I heard everything clearly. Also, the breakfast was not open at 6:00 am and the lady caught an attitude, when we inquired about breakfast. We wanted to hit the road. Booked our reservations on their website for 2 rooms, one handicap accessible. I should have reviewed our confirmation sooner because I noticed neither room showed to be for the handicap. If they don't have those rooms accessible they should let you know right away. We have a few more days before our trip so I called the hotel and they said they don't have any available on the days of our stay. I recently spent some time at this hotel while waiting for the birth of my granddaughter. The staff here was wonderful. On my first night, the people above me were walking around with heels on until midnight. I could not sleep. The staff accommodated me with a new room the next morning. My other grandchildren were welcomed to enjoy the pool and were treated like welcomed guests. Everyone was anxious to do whatever they could to make my stay more enjoyable. The hotel is clean. The fitness room is wonderful. The breakfast buffet was good. We will be back and I highly recommend this hotel. read more
