walked in room, and noticed that the shower was disgusting. Ceiling fell on shower, so rock was everywhere. Not to mention the room is very old, and dirty.

    Broken lamp.

We arrived much later than anticipated and our room was ready my family. I noticed a sign saying, pardon the crumbs that they're going through a renovation of some sorts. The next morning at 8 AM I was awoken to some tapping on our window outside on the second floor. Woke to see a man on a lift doing some work. Shortly after that, it sounded like there was some drilling or some sorts on the floor near us. I couldn't figure out where it was coming from. The staff was very nice and the room was decent. However, I wish I knew that this hotel was going on a renovations before making the reservation. As far as the room itself, it was clean. There were some broken things. One of the lamps was broken, one of the door hinges in the bedroom was broken. The tile in the bathroom was completely separated from the wall, and the dispensers were no longer attached. It seems like a solid three star hotel, but with my observations, I'm giving it a two star.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Worst hotel experience in my life. Checked in on 7/27. Room slightly smelled like mildew but tolerable. My family was shocked to see that no cleaning service has been completed on 7/28 and 7/29. Complained to front desk and they told me that their staff did not show up for work.I asked to speak to a manager and they assured me that a manager would reach out to me. I have still not heard a word from them. On 7/30, I saw a letter under my door (see attachment), which said that because they are honouring their "hard working" team, there will be no housekeeping. What a ridiculous lie. Even though I booked my stay till Friday, I decided to leave a day early and book a room elsewhere. Needless to say, I will be taking my business elsewhere next time and will be boycotting all DoubleTree branches due to this shambolic service. Shame on all of you

First we checked in and were so tired, I could hardly think. Long travel day and sleepless night. We were told at the desk about the bar and kitchen opening up in a few. So tired means let's stop driving for the day so why not try it. It was so worth it. Smaragda, our bartender was great and of course since we are close to the border... we drank the beers of the locals. I picked Buffalo Fan Zone, an India Pale Ale by Ellicottville Brewing Co. and my spouse had the Molson Light Lager. Our dinner choices were the Light Breaded Shrimp and the Crab Cake. Sorry no pictures they were gone so fast I couldn't pick up my phone. Brianne Hall, Assistant General Manager stopped by to check on my opinion of the Fan Zone. They had just gotten it in today and I will tell you it scores a Touchdown for me. This was a highlight of our stay, we were treated like celebrities. Also we weren't the only ones. While listening to Smaragda interact with some children when waiting on them, they were like royalties. I wanted to say we had breakfast here and Diana our server was fantastic! The food was great and freshly made to order. Must stop for sure when we travel this way again.

Hubby booked this place for a little getaway, and unfortunately, our stay was not the best for over $200/night. The room appeared to be okay, but there were flaws that I could ignore. The first issue was the black mold in various spots in the room, especially on the ceiling. Yet this hotel have signs up that they take pride in cleanliness. Our room was not clean, and evidence was found in view after we were visited by 2 bugs. One came out of nowhere near the curtain, and one was in the shower that was found after 3am. There were cob webs that were found under the cupboard. The bed was cozy was my positive and the breakfast that we purchased was not bad either.

The absolute worst! This hotel is in dire need of an upgrade! The locks are missing! The furniture is outdated. There's red smears all over the walls. There's no carpet on the floor. The rooms and bathrooms are crammed. Absolutely horrendous! I asked for a bigger room and they didn't bother to help, they said the floor plan for all the rooms is the same. I checked out 3 days early with no reparations or assistance. You can find so many other hotels in the area with the same price!

Outdated, dirty, rude customer service. Total disappointment. Upon arrival at 7:30 pm told by not friendly desk that room might not be ready. I had checked in night before on app with arrival time of 4pm. Someone went to check on room. Arrived in room to overwhelming smell of pot. Dirty towel in closet. Bathroom dirty with unclean bathroom counter( sticky) hair in shower (at least 10). So grossed out.

Everything you need to know about this place was exemplified by the 32" TV manufactured in 2007 that was sitting in the room. For the price of this room, it's time to make some changes. The room wasn't dirty as some report, but the floors felt greasy. The laminate is coming up in areas and it just looks dated. Same for the furniture. This place probably looked great when it was remodeled during the Bush administration. Had a mini frig, but it was turned off. 2 towels in room. Inadequate for 2 people. Now the staff. While some have said the staff was great, I didn't experience that. Front desk person was ambivalent at best. Asked if I stayed there before, and when told "No", she didn't follow with any information that might have proved helpful. Finally, quite begrudgingly delivered the HHonors benefits. Very doubtful I'd stay here again. Overall, Hilton has let the last 3 years move them down the ladder in satisfaction by taking away basics we all expect with hotels. Wildly inconsistent standards, as we see here, but seems my last couple of stays at Doubletrees have been far inferior to other Hilton brands.

The wallpaper is peeling off at the ceiling, floor and corners.

Everything! See photos! Went to front desk to complain about everything. Tried to call but the phone in the room doesn't work. The TV doesn't work. They comped us $45 off our $300 for the room, then called our room, after telling them the phone doesn't work, to tell us "oh, we forgot to charge you for your dogs so we added that on!" When we booked the room, we told them we had pets! The audacity!! We should get a full refund for this dump!! Don't stay here!! It's disgusting!!

What's left after I thought about picture!

The hotel is very nice. Rooms are decorated beautifully and bed had great linens. I prefer a firmer bed but still it was comfy. Not quite the typical marriott furniture. For example, an area rug over laminate hardwood floors. And a cart that held the mini fridge, safe, and Keurig. I am a lifetime Marriott platinum member and we enjoyed the benefit of their complementary breakfast. You order off the menu (not buffet) and it was delicious. There is an outside patio area with comfy chairs and firepit...shares the space with the attached restaurant (Jazzboline). Would have liked to try the attached restaurant, but yelp reviews made it sound terrible. (I depend on yelp reviews). We stayed in the courtyard room behind the main building. Windows do not open and no pool. We were traveling through town and stayed one night. Kinda glad it was just one night...the area was just okay. Not much in walking distance more of a city residential area. Overall, it is was a very pleasurable and nice stay.

Upon pulling up outside it doesn't look like much, but once we entered the first thing we noticed was the amazing décor. The customer service from all the staff working the desk and lobby café was also excellent! Checking in was smooth and perfect, she hit all the topics and was very happy, professional, and engaging. She told us lots about the property and gave us an excellent lunch recommendation too! Once we got into the room, it was perfectly decorated just like the common areas we saw upon entering. The tile inset on the bathroom floor and shower floor looked amazing! The bedding was great, flat, and comfy too. Ergonomics of the room were also designed for ease and comfort! They also have a Cadillac Escalade that they use to provide free rides to guests... Anywhere in the area within 5 miles, typically running until midnight! We were fortunate to grab a couple of rides with Marty, who was very engaging and helpful! He took us to a work reception nearby and told us to call him when we were ready to be picked up, which we did and he promptly came back to get us! Shower pressure and quickness of the hot water was perfect! TV also worked perfectly! We enjoyed our visit so much that we'd return to the area just to stay at this hotel again! Highly recommend staying here when in the area! I average staying in 1.5 Marriott properties weekly and based on the poor and inconsistent service at many of them, I wish the management here would train the others on how to keep a property beautifully clean (this place has been here 7 years and it looks brand new still!) and how to provide great service!

I won't go into details here, but the manager awarded me 10,000 points as compensation. As I haven't had the inclination to stay a Courtyard since that experience, those points expired unused some time ago. On a recent trip to the Buffalo area, my search yielded a Courtyard location that was priced reasonably. I had driven past that hotel numerous times and observed that it looked relatively new and well maintained, and it was convenient. In the spirit of second chances, and on the assumption that my previous experience was unique to a single location, I made my six day reservation online. Check-in was quick and efficient, the staff was very friendly, and the room appeared to be impeccably clean. Good lighting throughout, a very capable showerhead with plenty of pressure, and water that was hotter than I've ever even dared to dream about! Yes, Atlanta was an aberration. Courtyard by Marriott is back on my list! Until day four. After three days of no maid service (despite having explicitly asked for it that morning), we turned down the second bed, only to find two dirty socks under the covers! It nearly triggered my gag reflex. So many questions rippled through my head. What else wasn't cleaned after the previous guest checked out of that room? How long have those socks been there? What sorts of bodily fluids have I been marinating in over the past three nights? What about the pillows? Were the towels just air dried and refolded? Is this a disgruntled employee or is it business as usual? We immediately packed our bags and loaded up the car. I stopped at the front desk to check out and told the clerk about the socks. She seemed genuinely apologetic, but I think she realized that offering to change rooms or to clean the room we were in was pointless. She refunded the unused nights and said she would talk to the manager when he arrived to see if they could award me some points that will definitely go unused. I'd strongly advise against this Courtyard location. I don't believe the brand is salvageable, at least in my mind. Frankly, I'm wondering if the entire Marriott brand is safe. Did I mention that there were ants in the bathroom?

Stains here stains there 6) gym: most disgusting gym I've seen for a Marriott or Fairfield Inn. The photos are self explanatory, it's bad. It's set at 82 degrees, nothing is wiped, mopped, cleaned or refilled. It's a hotbed for nasty germs and diseases. 7) Pool, my kid was very excited about the pool until we went to see it, even with the door closed, from the outside, our eyes started to sting from the strong odor oozing out of the pool room. The water looked thick, reeks of strong chemicals. The pool is only short of having bubbles coming out it like the tar swamps of the Jurassic era. 8) lack of staffs, from evening time to night time, no one is at the front desk, they see you when they see you. Just stand there and wait, not even a bell to ring. The only reason I gave it 2 stars and not 1 is because the staffs were nice. The WiFi worked great. See pic: Large (used) trash bag by elevator trash cans - the large bag is provided in room for ease of keeping the room clean and disposing of larger items. The breakfast buffet was just meh. Although there is plenty to choose from, the first day the cheddar egg omelette was old and hard to cut through (breakfast at 7:30am), both days the yogurt was kept in a basket (dairy should be kept on ice), the waffle maker didn't cook all the way through (and no spray to help get the waffle out, so the outer part that was cooked stuck to the waffle maker), and by 7:30 on day 2 they were out of quite a bit of the fresh fruit (the only healthy option). The temperature in the room was hard to control - it doesn't let you select air or heat. 73 was cold air, 74 was like a full blown heater on blast.
