For its price range, this motel is fine. The rooms and the motel itself, while sparse, are adequate to the task. The sheets and towels were clean. The rug was clean. No insects were seen. The wi-fi sucks. Their "free" breakfast will probably dissapoint. . .but if you are looking for nourishment, you'll find it. With a fridge and micro in the room, coupled with an Aldi's next door, you can put together a feast. The staff was professional and friendly. If you are looking to save some $$, and all you need is an adequate roof over your head. . .this motel fits the bill. read more

my rating is lower than 1 star. This hotel needs to be investigated and closed. Should not be promoted by Choice Hotels. Our room had big water damage marks at least 2 ft long on the ceiling. The bathroom fan was so loud it was like a jet was landing along with the wall unit air was also so loud you could not sleep. But the biggest issue is the roof, it leaks over every room on the 2nd floor. It was raining lightly and we were are in our room when the big water spot began leaking from a smaller water bubble and came down on our luggage, my shoes, the tv and the bed. We called for help and they told us to put the small garbage can under the leak and they would mop the floor. I said no we need a new room so in 10 min they came with keys to another room on the 2nd floor and it too had the loud van and air unit along with even bigger water damage on the ceiling. they said they had no other rooms so this was it. We were leaving in the morning. at check out we asked for a reimbursement for the leaking room and received only platitudes that sorry it happened. The guy at the desk made this comment which really tells u the issues: he said " well we can never tell when a room is going to start leaking" Their roof is a mess. We stayed 1 night, hallways definitely need a good shampoo. My husband forgot 1 racing T-shirt and a racing hoodie in the closet. Sadly they had no intentions of returning sad that staff and management will keep items and not return them. Called several times they were going to talk to staff who cleaned the room and call us back but never did. We will not stay here ever again. Bad for business when you steal items that don't belong to you!!! Total disappointment. read more

Wow. I was really surprised at this place. We checked in and the front clerk was sleeping at the desk. Very dark and kind of creepy. The furniture was scuffed and the decor looked like it was 80's Salvation Army. Our bed squeaked REALLY loudly. And the walls were very thin. But oh. It gets better. We had two nights. (Helping family with a wedding. ) And on the second day, after helping get everything together, we went to bed early. Kids were screaming through the walls and we finally got to sleep. At 11:30 a different clerk banged on the door and woke us up due to the fact that there was a fact that a mix up on their end and we needed to re register. (Btw. No uniforms or anything. This guy was in street clothes and headphones). I got up and fixed that and went to sleep. The next day as I am loading up my car I got yelled at whether I was checking out. We did and spent the rest of our stay at another hotel. Ladies and gentlemen, if you want cheap, this is pretty cheap. From the DEAD trees in the lobby, the stains on carpets and bathrooms, the overall cheapness and grunge everywhere? Don't choose this hotel if you've got anywhere else to go. This quality Inn is a dump, it is dilapidated and outdated. My family stayed there and told me they had talked to a few guests who appeared to be homeless. I spoke to the owner when I arrived and after seeing the lobby and one of the rooms I told him I wanted to cancel. He offered me the opportunity to cancel the second, ight but not the first. He then told me the 2nd night couldn't be cancelled , because they have a no cancellation policy. How would you know this place was such a dump until you got there. I booked at The Hampton Inn which is down the road from the Quality Inn, which was more conducive. Stay away from the Quality Inn. Unfortunately I had to give it 1 star which it doesn't deserve. read more

Where do i even start?! I don't want to be that person that says "if i could give it 0 stars i would", but oh my is that an understatement. Let's start with #1. Customer service: AWFUL. The literal minute i arrived here i walked in to find the man at the front desk being incredibly rude to the polite elderly woman asking for help. She has asked a simple question and he belittled and disrespected her, not only with his words, with his attitude!! He offered her no help, my boyfriend actually loaded her cart and brought it to her room for her. I wish that was all. Checking in his demeanor was very aggressive like. Frustrated, aggravated, inconvenienced if you will. After checking in, we brought all of our bags to our room to find a decently put together room. Didn't appear "dirty". As we looked closer we found these weird paint marks left in numerous places scattered across the room. And this chair EXTREMELY stained and dirty. There's no ventilation in the bathroom, mold in the bathtub, ceiling is caving in numerous places, shower curtain is dirty, among other things. Here's where i decided i was over it.. after getting out of the shower i went to dry my hair, realizing the lower level on the hair dryer, doesn't work. The high level was too hot so i called the front desk (all of this is the same guy). He proceeded to come to the room to "check it". He rudely snatched up the hairdryer, turned on the highest setting and said "it works" in the most inconvenienced tone he could muster. I pointed out what i meant and explained i didn't say it didn't work i said a SETTING doesn't work. He dropped the hair dryer on the bathroom vanity and said "this isn't enough for you?", i said "it's too high and it burns" and he said "well i would have to replace it. and i'm NOT doing that." I escorted him out of the room, and i am now writing this. The guy who runs this place is RUDE, inconsiderate and should not be in a place of authority in any business where decent customer service is a requirement. Now for Food: Breakfast was not great. Very small selection, no "real food". You had the option to make yourself a waffle but the batter was so watery it wasn't even the slightest bit appetizing. The yogurt was separated from itself and looked expired. The milk wasn't cold, and coffee dispenser was DIRTY!!' And water was not an option. There are 3 choices of cereal, all of which were stale, and hadn't been covered correctly since arrival. This place is unsanitary in all versions of the word. Safety: I personally wouldn't bring children here. It's super dark throughout the whole hotel and no one within the staff is friendly and they all make me extremely uncomfortable. I would come prepared and aware of my surroundings if staying jerw I know this place is tempting given the price is reasonable. But please, just pay the little bit of extra money and go to the Hampton down the street. It's not worth the few extra bucks. read more

Very bad ac not working light not working lock on bathroom not working not like I expected

We go on a fishing trip from Ohio to New York every August. On our way back home we always stay a night in a hotel. We are Choice Hotels members so we looked for a Choice Hotel to stay in this year. It was nearly 9 PM when we found the Quality Inn - Lockport, NY. There was a line of 3 patrons waiting to be checked in when we arrived. The hotel staff member on duty was rude to the older gentleman in front of us. The staff member was rude to me as well. I asked his name and he told me that it is "Jared". Jared gave me our room card and started to walk away. I asked him which entrance we should take to most easily access our room from the parking lot. He shrugged and pointed to the right side of the hotel, adding that "there's a side door over there." My husband and I were collecting our luggage from our car when we spotted Jared smoking cigarettes in the parking lot. Is a smoke-break more important than your patrons? We could not find an elevator in this hotel so we had to pull our wheeled luggage up a flight of stairs to our room. On the way I saw a can of SKOAL balanced on the top of the fire extinguisher glass. How long has THAT been there? As I was unpacking our luggage I opened the curtains and adjusted the air conditioner. The carpet near the air conditioner was soaking wet! So much so that I had to hang my socks over the tub to dry out. I noticed a small white bucket under the left side of the air conditioner. The hotel staff obviously knows that this air conditioner leaks and this was their solution to the problem. The toilet in the hotel room was much lower than normal, there was a giant spider on the wall in our room, the refrigerator in our room was not operating (unplugged???), the hallways smelled musty, the windows along the corridors/stairways were leaking and had buckling plaster, the beautiful intertwined palm trees in the entryway have rotted leaves that no one has cared to groom. I reported our unsatisfactory visit the following morning to hotel staff. I took pictures of the worst of this and posted them. When I called Choice Hotels to report our stay here they seemed shocked that there wasn't an elevator in the hotel. Ugh! Get it together or dump this hotel from Choice Hotels! read more

Do not stay here!! My family and I stayed here overnight during a trip to Niagara Falls and the room was literally infested with BEDBUGS. When I informed the staff they didn't offer any other reasonable accommodations or even to refund the room. Even worse we couldn't go to another room or hotel so had to stay in that room until morning. My aunt and I were bitten all over and are considering legal action if the hotel doesn't rectify this. Please save yourself the aggravation, literally any other hotel has to be better than this. read more

If I could rate this hotel 0 stars I would... My house caught fire and my mother was relocated here (for the fact they claim to be "a pet friendly hotel") with our three dogs, apparently one of our dogs got out of room and they found dog poop "somewhere" instead of bringing the subject up with my mom and asking her to clean it or asking her to lock her door so they can't get out, they called there manager and gave my mother 2 hours to leave and find somewhere else to stay. They were very rude and unprofessional about it.. They have bottles of alcohol laying in the back and the whole place smells of cigarettes and it claims to be a no smoking establishment. -Worst hotel in the chain of Choice Hotels that I have stayed at. -Hallways smell of cigarette smoke even though the hotel is non smoking. -Breakfast (bagged eggs) and sausages. They are not edible, saw other people putting the breakfast plates in the garbage. Not much selection is offered. -The carpet in the rooms smell and are in need of replacing. -The bathroom rags were dirty. -Repairs were done to the bathroom ceiling that is not aesthetically completed. -This hotel is rated 1 out of 10. Would not recommend staying at this location. Ms. Jayhsree Patel, Manager, is a thief. 2 packages forgotten at the hotel were claimed to be thrown in the garbage due to me not being able to return for them after returning to Canada. Find another place to stay!! We rented a room here without looking at the room first. When we politely complained about the soiled comforter on the bed (pics attached) the bra less , halter-topped agent at the counter, "Jackie" stated that she didn't have access to clean linens!! Somehow, however, she reluctantly managed to replace the cover after we insisted that this wasn't an acceptable answer!! An hour later when we asked for extra pillows we were informed that there were none in the hotel!?! A heated argument ensued after we demanded to talk to a manager about the dismal customer service. A "manager" finally called our room- not to rectify things- but to escalate the already uncomfortable situation. When we asked again for pillows for my disabled husband's weary back we threatened to check out if they couldn't help us with our request. The manager responded by telling us to leave NOW(we had already started to pack our bags). It gets worse dear readers: when we checked out after actually being in the room less than an hour they refused to credit us back for the room! We called the police from the parking lot and made a police report. Not ONLY had Jackie refused to be reasonable and issue a credit for the room, she vindictively charged my debit card another $ 150.00- falsely claiming we had smoked in the room- we are NON-SMOKERS and are blown-away at the lack of integrity contained in this bald-faced lie. Because we used a debit card my bank can't reverse the charge (we suspect that she already knew this because she's pulled this with other unsuspecting visitors from out of town) I'm filing an appeal with their corporate offices- I have the Choice Hotels presidents name & am cc-ing him along with the franchise sales director. What a NIGHTMARE!!! Don't give these scoundrels your debit card information- find another place to stay!! As of 9/16/16 we still have not gotten our $150.00 back. Going to send our complaint to the BBB. Will keep Yelp updated 9/30/16: Update: We FINALLY GOT OUR MONEY BACK- kudos to TD for submitting our Dispute twice. The first Dispute was declined because they responded that the $150 charge was a "cancellation fee". Good price, rooms really need updated! Our room, #165, bathroom fan (which comes on everytime you turn on the light) will wake even the soundest of sleepers! Bathroom door wouldn't shut right, shower had no pressure and last and worst is the disgusting carpet! Really needs replaced. Also, they don't start their "free" breakfast early enough for people that are here for fishing, thank goodness 24 he Denny's is across the street. My boy friend decided to give me a night out, because I have arthritis and hip dysplasia, even though we both own our own home, he got me a room with the Jacuzzi here, the Jacuzzi was dirty, the heat did not work all night , the room was FREEZING,when I brought the issue to front desk she blew it off. I wanted to speak to management, she told me there was no way for me to speak to no one higher than her, which is complete bull crap because we all know how things work. My friends and I have stayed here for several years during fishing trips. This past weekend we ended up here again. Last year it was a Comfort Inn but with the change in name the only thing we noticed different was the evening front desk person was very friendly and outgoing. The breakfast selections have been reduced a little too but still plenty to find for a day or two worth of breakfast. After two days it would be very monotonous so two is the limit for us. It is definitely not a Ritz but if you are looking for clean and serviceable accommodations at a great rate, this is the place. It is nice enough to not be sketchy but not high class enough to feel uncomfortable walking through the lobby in fishing gear. Works out for us as our yearly long weekend fishing trip. read more

Do not waste your time nor your money. The staff is completely disrespectful and the manager is even worse. I was greeted with eye rolls and attitude, then later followed up with being yelled at by the manager when I tried to express my concerns. The corporate call center was not much better with the exception of one very courteous employee. Really disappointed with this company and how they conduct business. Unfortunately this is not the first issue my family and I have dealt with either. I don't believe any of us will be enjoying a stay at a Quality Inn any longer. This has got to be the worst customer service I have ever received in my life!! The rooms are disgusting, I say rooms because I had to get TWO different ones in the matter of 10 minutes. The first one's door was jammed & you couldn't get in or out.. the cot they brought for my ten-year-old was broken and full of stains!! I asked the girl working at the counter with blue hair to help me out..( she was very pleasant that was the only good thing about this place)for a different room. The one we were given reeked of cigarette smoke, was filthy not to mention there was ashes all over in my non-smoking room!! My daughter suffers from asthma!! There was dogshit dried up on the floor or vomit I couldn't tell the difference, I had children with me.. because Red Cross was helping my family after our house fire that we just endured that Tuesday!! The manager/ owners did not accommodate me whatsoever since we could not stay after dealing with this.All I asked was for the lodging money put back in my red cross card so I could find something clean for my family that's suffering enough.It was such a disappointment.I felt so disrespected and humiliated. My children are i are homeless and relying on this assistance during this tough time and this place couldn't care enough to reimburse me for two nights I never even stayed more than 15 minutes??! No refunds was all the woman kept saying. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone!! Poor service and unhealthy conditions!! I doubt it meets code!! read more
