His defensive ego criticized our choices and his customer service was horrible. His truck was organized and fully stocked. But it is what happened next that blew me away. Dan spent about 30 minutes with me troubleshooting the issues and gave me guidance on how to repair the issues. On my house here in Rancho Mirage there are keyless locks. When I arrived this time, it was not working right. Called Locks Around the Clock and they were there within 30 minutes, even though I told them it wasn't an emergency! Great Service. Turns out that all I needed was some batteries replaced in the lock. I couldn't figure it out myself because the installation figures that came with the lock were wrong! So the very nice young man was at my home for less than 5 minutes to solve the problem. The only reason I gave 4* instead of 5* was that they still charged me the full $110, even though he was here for such a short time. Sean came out to help us open a floor safe that we discovered after buying our house in Palm Springs. Called on a Saturday, and was at our house just a few days later. Upon starting the job, the safe appeared to be in worse shape than originally thought; it was not free on the sides and appeared 'frozen' aka rusted in place. Sean gave us the choice of proceeding on, with the possibility of having to drill out the locking bolts, (which would cost more than originally quoted) or doing nothing at no charge. Curiosity got the better of us and we pushed on with the job. As luck would have it, Sean was actually able to get the safe 'free' without causing permanent damage, which meant we were able to re-code and re-use the safe, all while paying what he had originally quoted us. I had a terrible experience with locks around the clock,first they promised me they could make a new set of keys for my truck,and after waiting for the appointment over 24 the tech showed up at the end of the day without the keys for the job and simply told me he could not do the job, I spoke to Shawn his boss and company owner and he was rude and he was speaking down to me and very condescending. I know that YELP review can be filled with hyperbole. I will try not to over do it. I deal with vendors and contractors on a daily basis in my professional life. I know a good technician and a good company when I encounter one. I had Dan Smith service my call today, January 3,2024. We were in the process of evicting a tenant who had not paid rent in over a year and a half. When Dan came out, there was a legal question about the status of the house and who possessed title. He was very professional and was astute enough to know this was a delicate situation. Dan offered to come back later in the afternoon if things were settled. We called him at 1pm letting him know that the situation had settled. He showed up less than 45 minutes later and took on 5 doors with multiple locks on each. Not only did he re-key the locks, but he cleaned and lubricated them. He adjusted the strikes on several doors as well. When he was all done, we found the original deadbolt for the front door and he re-keyed that. Dan was very professional and respectful of the frustration we were experiencing. He did his best to assure us that he was securing our property. When he was all done, I was struggling with one final issue that he made some solid recommendations for that worked like a charm. They weren't even part of the job we had already paid for. Dan stepped in and gave us some instructions that were helpful and allowed us to leave our property feeling secure.
