Decided to lock my garage door for the first time ever when I went out today - and then lost the key. Brilliant. Thankfully, I found this company on Yelp, and gave him a call. Friendly and professional, he let me know he was working on another site but could be by my house in about 45 minutes. True to his word, he was there just under that. He tried to pick the lock for me, but it was apparently a really solid lock (only time in my life I prayed to hear that something on my house wasn't super secure, go figure). He ended up having to replace it. He was quick, efficient, and was able to use my extra house key to match the lock up so I wouldn't have a different key for the deadbolt. Perfect. Price was reasonable, and totally worth it for how quick he was. I'm pleased enough that he literally just left, and the first thing I did was get on Yelp to leave him a review. He finished rekeying 3 locks in about half the time it took a previous guy to do 2 - plus he rekeyed a Pella door cylinder to match a Schlage deadbolt key - something that another locksmith said could not be done. I hate updating reviews when it means a drop in stars, but in this case, I have to do it... Gitay installed several keypad deadbolts for me a few months back, and I was happy with the work... that is, until yesterday, when I learned that all of the keypad deadbolts were installed incorrectly and could be opened without a code. Talk about a WTF moment. I removed all of the deadbolts myself and reinstalled them correctly, but c'mon... you're a professional locksmith. I gave you the deadbolts in the unopened boxes with manuals, etc. If you'd never installed this particular deadbolt, take a minute or two and at least LOOK at the paperwork -- as opposed to leaving your customer with doors that basically didn't lock for several months. While I'm sure the problem was a genuine accident, I still don't find it acceptable, and I'm only giving two stars vs. one due to Gitay's promptness and attitude. Had he not been polite while doing the work, this would have been a downgrade to a "1" vs. a "2". read more

A while back we locked ourselves out of the garage shed without realizing we didn't have a key for the lock on the knob. Well, spring is here so it would be kinda handy to be able to get at the garden hose and lawnmower, so I called them up and said we weren't in any hurry, but he was there in a half-hour or so and after warning me that he might have to drill out the lock which would destroy it, he was able to pick it successfully in about 60 seconds.
