Took a trip to YG Farmers market today and wow! It's certainly changed! Haven't been in months and yeah...bUt that's for another review! Had a sample of Locos X pork and that solidified our decision to have lunch. The smells are delicious there. We had the meal for 2 but there were 3 of us and it certainly provided leftovers. The meal included pork belly, picana, pork, a chorizo type sausage, a blood sausage, and ribs. Blood sausage- nah! Chorizo-not the type I'm used to having. Seemed more like a sausage with spices. Pork-delicious! Nice and tender and juicy. Picana-again, I expected more garlic and salt. Not bad, just expected a different taste. Pork belly-basically pig candy! The fat was soft, juicy, delicious. And some skin was included with what seemed like a glaze and had the perfect crispiness. Ribs-they were tasty but not typical BBQ Smokey type tasting. Now, having said all that, I read after that it's an Asian BBQ fusion. So that's probably why the tastes, while delicious, were off. Also why the sides were interesting. A fried rice, Cole slaw, and yucca. All were tasty. The garlic sauce to dip was great. The bbq, again, didn't realize it was fusion so I was caught off guard by the deep teriyaki taste to it. Really enjoyed Locos X. Friendly staff and great food albeit pricy for a farmers market. And since Oaxha isn't there anymore, this fit the bill great. read more

Walking around on Yellow Green Farmers market couldn't resist the smell of delicious Venezuelan parrilla and with chinese fried rice?! Even better!! We had the sharing plate which includes pork belly, steak, ribs, chorizo morcilla, cheese and 3 sides! All meats were perfectly cooked and so tender that you can't believe it!! From the minute you get to the register all the way to when you finish your meal: everything is amazingly done and they really do pay attention to every detail. We wanted to eat something at the yellow green farmers market and there were tons of choices! There's a similar (but not the same) Venezuelan place but they didn't have samples, we kept walking and found this one behind them. The pineapples above the grill caught my attention. They had different samples and the sauces. We decided to order a tomahawk-Amazing tomahawk! The Chinese fried rice is a must! Great service, the waitress, the cashier, the samples guy- all very friendly. But the food is the star of the show. Literally even the papelon juice was on point. The steak was cooked well and had a lot of flavor, it's a lot of food for the money but even so I would have liked more Chinese rice, it was that good. Keep up the good work. read more

Love, love this little gem in the back corner of the Yellow Green Farmers Market. I have frequented here quite often with friends and family over the last year since I first discovered this spot, and the food has never failed us. With each visit, they seem to be making significant improvements, and it keeps us wanting to come back for more. The staff is friendly and attentive, and there's plenty of seating options. It gets a little hot, but they have fans in every corner. We hope they open up a free standing restaurant soon!! read more

The meat here is top notch. The pork belly one of my favorites of anywhere. The Chinese style rice looks really good when it hits the table but the taste isn't there, and the coleslaw is way too dry. That being said I still say 4 stars and would have them again becAuse the meat is that good. read more

Chinese/Venezuelan fusion BBQ! The staff with the sample carts were very nice and helpful in describing all the food and sauces. I didn't buy the first time I visited from being so full but I headed straight there my second time at the farmers market. the food was amazing, the fam barely let me take this picture before jumping on this family platter that included pork belly, blood sausage, sausage, ribeye, ribs, yuca, fried rice , coleslaw, tostones , really the ultimate platter though for a few people! The sauces were tasty as well but the bbq sauce I think it was, I was not expecting for it to taste like soy sauce but it was still good :) Everyone was nice and asked if we needed anything, you can tell that they are really hard workers and want to be there and luckily I went early before all of their booths filled up!!! read more

It was my first time going to this restaurant in the Yellow Green Farmers Market, also my very first time tasting a Venezuelan Chinese fusion. One of the best BBQ I've had in a long time, I had the opportunity to taste a majority of the food they had to offer and I was left wanting more. Omg where has this place been all my Yellow-Green life?! After frequenting the market for years, we finally gave Locos a try. So. Freakin. Good. The chimuchurri is to DIE for and the garlic sauce? Get 3 and take em home for later! The fried rice is excellent too. The meat? More tender than Elvis' love. Yes, it's a **little** pricey but you could order one plate and honestly split it between 4 people for a modest meal for 4. Doing it that way, it's a great deal. Hubby and I split it between the two of us and couldn't finish, we were so stuffed! Will definitely be back. read more

OMG. So good! My friend and I split the 2 meat meal with the picanha and Chinese pork bbq ribs, plus fried rice and coleslaw. The two of us couldn't eat everything and took plenty of leftovers to go. The chimichurri and garlic sauces were delicious. I will most definitely be back for more! read more

This place is inside the Yellow-Green market and we had a serving of the roast pork with crispy skin. It was good. Not great. Kind of on the side of typical. Maybe we just got a bad cut. The portion we received was small for what we paid which was close to $30 for just the pork alone with no sides. And we didn't get much of the skin either. We were super disappointed as we waited for it to be done. The lady handing out samples let people sample more than what was in our container. read more

Dear sweet lord! This is some of the best BBQ I have ever had. As a prior review noted, it's a bit pricey for BBQ, but worth every penny. We got a mix plate with cole slaw and fried rice, and everything was absolutely fantastic. The meat, rice and sauces were out of this world. Can not recommend it enough. read more
