Recently bought a certified pre-owned Accord here. The buying process was straightforward and hassle-free. However, I was told the driver's side mirror would be replaced as it is fogged out, which makes it difficult to see. I was told I'd hear from service in a couple days. Sales followed up 3 days later and said I'd be hearing from service...nothing. Spoke to them again the following Monday...nothing. Here I am almost two weeks post-purchase.....nothing. I'm genuinely torn on how to review Lodi Honda. I bought a car here and was able to negotiate an amazing deal. So good, in fact, that a salesperson from Mel Rapton Honda in Sacramento told me I was a liar when I quoted him the price. On the other hand, I recently brought my Honda here for service (different car from the one I purchased). A red battery symbol was flashing on the dash. I was actually on the phone with a service guy from Folsom Honda. He told me it was my alternator, but he doubted my car would make it. Sure enough, it literally started to die as I was driving by Lodi Honda. I take it in. They run a diagnostic. Per the diagnostic, there's some issue with the starter. I question this based on what the mechanic from Folsom told me. I'm told that diagnostic indicates the starter may be drawing on the battery. I don't know the first thing about cars so I take their word. Repairs take two days because they need to wait for a new starter. Two or three days after pickup, the exact same warning light comes on. I call Lodi Honda. I'm told they will look at it.... in a week. I explain the history and the response is pretty much "tough luck." They won't offer any sort of discount or consideration for the misdiagnosis. So, this time I do it right and take it to Folsom Honda. The mechanic literally laughs out loud when I tell him they replaced the starter, and he says "why? The problem wasn't with starting the vehicle. The problem presented while the vehicle was running." Folsom Honda fixed the problem and it hasn't been an issue since. I'm torn on what rating to give Lodi because -- like I said, I don't know the first thing about cars -- so maybe the diagnostic did show some sort of issue with the starter. But that clearly wasn't the cause of the issue with my vehicle. What irritates me is that Folsom was able to diagnosis it correctly over the phone because they listened to me. Lodi ignored me and missed it. And it did cause me a massive headache because I wasn't able to use my car for several more days. The staff was helpful and friendly when I first brought my car in, but clearly did not give a $&!? when I called the second time. I'm torn. Somewhere between two and three stars. read more

WARNING Update: I changed the front axle and the clicking stopped. As I said, the axle was bad at the CV joint and it was under warranty and they avoided it. Understand, I am a licensed mechanic. There was NO doubt that it was the axle. It is common. They dodged repairing my car I bought there under warranty and that is the shadiest thing I have seen done there besides unplugging my dash cam so they aren't recorded possibly tearing my car up while testing it. Yes, I bought 3 fkn cars from you guys. U treated me like fraud. And I don't even have the courtesy to message me. WARNING I have bought 3 cars here. Civics and accord. There's a common issue with their warranty service and let me first say that I am a licensed mechanic. I had an issue with the cv joints clicking when turning. This is a no brained that they are bad. This strayed at 40k and well within warranty. Took it down and they did some shady stuff. #1- they unplugged my dash cam so they were not recorded test driving my car. This has happened three times here. #2- the mechanic came back and said he couldn't find a problem. It clicks loud and u can feel it EVERYTime. BS #3- the service counter told me that the sound is normal. I asked if we could test drove a new civic and he could show me and he said he couldn't. Avoiding warranty is normal for dealerships. In the past, the bulletins used to even give scripts and tell them to say things like " we have never had this issue before ever" when they have had hundreds of documented problems. (Auto attorney) So, here I am. I have a car with two failing cv joints and I, myself, have to spend a day replAcing them and I have to pay for it. Congrats Lodi Honda! INCOMPETENT vs DISHONEST I received a letter about a warranty extension, as the Honda Civics were reportedly experiencing A/C Condenser Leaks. I have a 2018 Civic. The letter, shown below, states to bring in the vehicle and if this is the case, it will be done for free. I bring in the vehicle, I begin to tell the service provider, Curtis, about my experiences with the air conditioner. I explained that I noticed this issue some time ago but never brought in, because I didn't think anyone would believe me that it was a defect (I've had bad experiences at service dealerships since they try to get you for every penny they can). Anyway, I alert him that I notice the passenger side blows out cooler air than the driver side. I reference the letter (as I had done the night before when I scheduled the appointment) and let him know that I had been experiencing this issue. He takes my story into account and immediately lets me know that that most likely is not the A/C Condenser and is likely another issue and if that is the case, I would have to pay for the service. About an hour later, I receive a call from Curtis stating that they did a diagnosis, and they found the driver side air mix motor is not working and that this would cost a couple of hundred dollars to fix. I say no thanks and move on to Stockton Honda for second opinion. I bring in the letter and long story short, they found that it was the AC Condenser that had a fracture and was causing the refrigerant to leak out... just as the letter stated! It was done at no cost. How is Lodi Honda going to give me a completely different diagnosis? Did not even consider this letter stating this issue! It's so ridiculous to me that they try to charge me over 200 dollars for something that was not even the issue when there is a manufacturer defect. Unbelievable. It was as though Curtis just took my experiences and used it to his advantage. I was just trying to be honest about my experiences, and he just used it to try to make a couple of hundred bucks. This is extremely upsetting. Either service providers at Lodi Honda are incompetent or dishonest. Do not go here. I cannot imagine how many people they take advantage of, individuals who are passive and do not speak up. It is mind blowing and inexcusable. Below I have proof of two totally different diagnoses from Stockton and Lodi. Again, Stockton fixed issue at no cost and found the problem was exactly as stated in letter. read more

My daughters car was in Lodi Honda's Service Dept for three months. She was told the part they needed was on back order. Was told the same thing with each follow up call. Finally her father got tired of the game and the $3,500 spent so far that our daughter had to pay for a car rental. He decided to take it upon himself and asked another Honda dealer if they had the part. They didn't but CHECKED THE NETWORK and found two of them in San Diego!! That dealer promised to hold the part until her father got down there the next day. He was able to purchase the part, get it to Lodi Honda, then the car got fixed!! We can't understand the politics possibly? Or maybe the mode of operation of a Honda service department that didn't check the network of other Honda dealers to see if they had the needed part. I have been taking my 2016 Honda Civic since the very first time I needed service (I bought my car from another dealer before moving out of the area a month later). I live about 60 miles away from Lodi Honda and in between I have two other Honda dealerships that I could use but I have heard that Lodi Honda is the best at service, both customer service and actual work performed. On my 4th visit to this Dealer for scheduled maintenance I had an 11:30am appointment that I got there a bit early for (11:00am). I have always used Curtis as my service guy and has been excellent but this time I could tell things were a bit off. He got my car pulled in by 11:10am and I asked him how long the service would take (Oil & Brake Fluid change, and general inspection). I was told it would either be "under an hour" or "3 1/2 hours". I was shocked and asked why the huge difference and was told that the techs take a two hour lunch and no one works on cars between 12 and 2pm. I asked why not rotate the techs lunch breaks and he said "its the law.. our waiting room is over there" and walked away from me. A bit rude, but it was early and a monday, so I kinda get it. So everyone take note, in the middle of the day between 12-2pm everything goes on hold, so don't schedule any appointments after 10am or before 3pm (to give them time to catch up). Maybe after reading this review, schedule somewhere else.. Anyways.. An hour later, at Noon, one of the service assistants came over to tell my tires were really low on tread, and they wanted to put new tires on. I knew they were low and I was hoping to get them replaced anyways, so I asked how much. He said he didn't know but he would find out. Before he left I asked him if my car was done (since they were inspecting the tires and trying to upsell me). He said would check on that too. He came back a few minutes later saying that everyone left already and my car would not be done for another 2-3 hours. Not happy, but not angry I said ok, and left to go get lunch. Now mind you there is not a sidewalk past the front of the dealership so you need to play frogger with traffic to walk to any places to eat. I wish there was a shuttle service that was actually available between 12-2pm.. oh right.. ghost town. Anyways I get back and around 2pm Curtis comes over and tries to sell my on new tires; $250 for two tires, or $500 for four (not counting labor, etc.). Before I can even make a decision he appologizes that they don't also have the tires but they can get them in tomorrow. I ask what time, and he said before noon, and it would take a few hours. I tell him no, and he reminds me that they are at the "federal level for baldness". Yes they are low, almost at the mark (between 4 and 2/32nd, pretty low) but that was a cheesy line to throw out there. Also I'm sorry but I can't take another day off from work to spend another 3+ hours sitting around while everyone is on lunch for tires and service I can get $100+ cheaper and faster at a tire shop. So I decline. On top of all of that as I check out, I see that I'm being charged the "normal" service price even though I was told I was getting a coupon price for the service. I didn't fight it.. I paid the extra $20-30 bucks and left. I am so disappointed. 2 Hours of commute time back and forth, and 3 1/2 hours waiting. A whole day of wasted time and money. I guess one of the other dealers will appreciate my business, especially when I trade in my car. read more

Lodi Honda was amazing. I was on the hunt for a specific car, a hybrid. They are nearly impossible to find in our state right now. I received notice from another dealership in Sacramento that they likely had the car that I wanted in Lodi. I called ahead and spoke with Ray, the sales manager and he told me to be there at 11:00 on Saturday. I was so concerned that I would show up and somebody would already be signing on the car that I did a Google search to see what time they opened. I left my house at 7:00 a.m. to be there by 8:00. When I arrived, the parts department and the service department were open. The sales floor was not. Shannon in the parts department was very kind and helped us by calling a sales representative and letting them know that there was somebody there to buy a car. She spoke with JD and gave him our number. He called us right away to let us know that he was getting ready and would be there as soon as he could. We went and had breakfast while he prepared for his day. He called us back about 45 minutes later and said he was leaving his house and would be there in 15 minutes. JD came into work an hour early to make this sale happen for us. While I was signing My loan papers on the car two other people called to inquire about it. I couldn't find a place that had an oil change appointment the week I needed the change. Went to Lodi Honda since they had an appointment the following day. A couple hours past while I was waiting for the oil change and a worker came up to me saying that my TPMS broke. I was confused and told him how was that possible? He mentioned that one of the mechanics broke it and they were willing to replace it but I would be charged. I went to another worker to mention to them about the incident and they said they wouldn't replace it for free since it was broken before I brought it to the dealership. I decided to contact the manager and he said they weren't going to help me since I "planned" this. Pretty disappointing. read more
