In 2021, we sat down with a salesman here and custom ordered a new vehicle from this dealership. They advised us it should arrive no later than January 2022. We explained to the salesman that we were purchasing it as a birthday gift for our son and planned on embarking on a cross country road trip in it to the east coast that February to present it to him. We contacted them in January because we hadn't heard anything and they said there had been shipping delays and hopefully we could get it by February. In February we received the same response so we pushed our trip back to March and in March we received the same answer so we decided to go on our trip anyway. Towards the end of April, we were still on the east coast and we got a message that the vehicle had arrived. We decided to start back home to get it and explained it would be at least 5 days (as we were traveling by vehicle) before we would be home but we would come and get it as soon as possible. I received a response that suggested we had better hurry because with the current market they might just sell the vehicle for a lot more than the price we had agreed to via contract the prior year and that people would be inquiring about it on the lot. I was highly irritated by that response and chose not to engage, but to reaffirm that we would be there within the week to pick it up. When we did go get it and pay, the subject of increased prices came up again and I made sure to be firm in the fact that we would be paying the price we had agreed to previously and not a penny more. Ultimately they honored the price on the contract. We ended up keeping the vehicle as it was too late to gift it. Over the next two years we had constant issues with the vehicle not starting. Within a few months it had to be towed to the dealership and the battery replaced. We purchased multiple battery chargers and new jumper cables but it was an ongoing battle. It had to be towed to the dealership twice and the other two times we had to jump it and keep it running to drop it off there. Each time the service department would check or change the battery, get it running and return it to us. The last time we brought it in the gentleman who worked on it said he charged the battery and it was dead again the next morning when he came in so he charged it again and also changed out some fuses as it appeared that one of them was constantly drawing power, even when the vehicle was off. Since that fuse was changed we have only had a few other minor issues but 2 years of never knowing when/if your car will start kept us from going places, wasted a lot of our time and money and caused way too much unnecessary stress. read more

AS MY REVIEW WAS REMOVED, I'M POSTING IT HERE FOR THE SECOND TIME. If you're considering buying a vehicle from this dealership, please read my experience. I purchased a 2022 Grand Wagoneer Series III demo on 3/25. I understood I was buying a demo vehicle, but I was specifically told that demo vehicles are sold as new and that, because I would be the first registered owner with the DMV, the manufacturer's factory warranty would begin on the date I purchased the vehicle. That representation was one of the main reasons I agreed to buy the vehicle. When you're spending over $80,000, the factory warranty is extremely important, and I made sure to ask about it several times before signing. The paperwork I signed clearly states: "Manufacturer Warranty Starts 3/25." However, I later discovered that the manufacturer's warranty had actually started earlier. Because the vehicle was a 2022 model, my factory warranty expired only about nine months after I bought it, even though my Grand Wagoneer Series III had only around 10,000 miles. When we returned to the dealership to discuss the warranty issue, we met with Joey, who was the manager at the time, along with the person in charge of the service department. During that meeting, Joey acknowledged that the paperwork had been processed incorrectly and said the vehicle had been entered as used. He also told us there was nothing they could do to restore the manufacturer's warranty. Instead, he said the dealership would take care of any warranty-related issues during the period I would be without the factory warranty. A few months after purchasing the vehicle, the problems began. The front passenger seat developed a large bump. I brought it back multiple times, and after four visits, it still wasn't fixed. Another dealership eventually replaced the seat, but I had to use my extended warranty to get it covered. Then the second-row seat stopped working completely. When I took it in for repair, I was told the dealership would not cover it because, according to them, food crumbs and chewing gum had damaged the seat tracks, causing the failure. I also have the service paperwork documenting that explanation. This was especially frustrating because it directly contradicted what I had been told when we met with management--that the dealership would help me during the time I was without the manufacturer's warranty. That second-row seat has now been non-functional for eight months. The Manteca dealership has now agreed to repair it, but I have spent eight months driving an $80,000 vehicle with a broken seat. Today, my Grand Wagoneer has only about 23,000 miles, yet it no longer has the manufacturer's factory warranty, and I've already dealt with multiple seat issues. I'm sharing my experience so other buyers can protect themselves. Verify the manufacturer's warranty start date directly with the manufacturer, compare it with every document you sign, and get any promises made by the dealership in writing. One of the most frustrating and poorly handled service experiences I've had -- especially given the price point of this vehicle. I purchased a new 2025 Ram 1500 from this dealership in May of 2025. Within three days, the truck was dead in my driveway and required a battery replacement by the dealer. Since then, my $70,000 truck has been back to this dealership five separate times, totaling well over two months out of service: * 5/28 - Battery replaced (truck dead after purchase) * 6/6 - "Max engine oil level exceeded" warning (dealer could not replicate) * 8/18-8/19 - Check engine light; battery replaced again * 8/25-9/5 - Repeated check engine light; engine bay PDC and ignition switch replaced * 12/3 - Present (4 weeks and counting) - Major transmission and electrical failure while driving hundreds of miles from home. At this price point, I expect both the manufacturer and dealership to go out of their way to make things right when major issues arise. Instead, I've been required to jump through hoops just to secure a basic replacement vehicle -- one that is not even comparable to what I purchased -- while my truck sits out of service for weeks at a time. The handling of rental coverage has been especially disappointing. Despite the vehicle being down for over a month during this visit alone, I was initially told the maximum rental reimbursement was $35/day, which is unrealistic. After extensive follow-up, a higher rental limit was finally approved -- only for me to later receive a voicemail on 12/30 stating the dealership covered just 5 days and that I personally owed $550 immediately. When I contacted the dealership, I was told they would not cover the difference. To be fair, the service team has been helpful in getting my truck into the shop when problems arise, and I appreciate their efforts on that front. However, helpful intake does not replace the need for ownership, advocacy, and resolution when a new vehicle experiences repeated safety-related failures and excessive downtime. I have yet to receive the resolution this situation warrants. A dealership should stand behind its customers when serious problems occur -- especially with a new vehicle at this level -- not leave them without reliable transportation and unexpectedly covering costs that should have been handled from the start. This experience has significantly eroded my trust in this dealership. I would strongly caution anyone considering purchasing or servicing a vehicle here to consider not just how issues are acknowledged, but how they are ultimately resolved. read more

Even though I can't honestly give 5 stars because of the ongoing issues with my Wagoneer, Brian truly did everything he could to help me through a very frustrating situation. Over the past 6 months or longer, I've had to bring my vehicle in multiple times for repairs beyond regular maintenance, including the thermostat, window lock, batteries, and most recently crank sensors. Each visit usually meant being without my vehicle for days, which has been difficult with my busy schedule, kids, meetings, and events. Brian saw my frustration firsthand, listened, communicated, and continued doing his best to help even when many things were beyond his control. I know he was trying to balance taking care of customers, the dealership, and the manufacturer all at once. I don't usually write review but this has been a long journey of frustrated experiences to say the least. I've have brought my car numerous times so this isn't a one time incident. I brought my car for service at the beginning of January. We are now at the end of January and I still don't have my vehicle. It's under warranty but honestly the time they take even after it's been approved is ridiculous. There is no reason I should be without a vehicle for a whole month!!! You can't get anyone on the phone to get an update and you leave messages never get a return phone call back. I would never go to this place again!! After we discovered a problem with the transmission on the Hyundai Kona we bought from them we reached out immediately. Shannon did not return our call for more than 10 days. We tried email, phone, messages to other staff members. Finally we had to deal with the manager. After purchasing an extended warranty on this car for $2000 and the warranty company even refusing to cover the repair (because clearly it was a pre existing condition) the manager only offered to pay for 50% of the repair which was over $3000! All this on my daughters first car! Absolutely horrible experience!! Clearly the car had not been thoroughly checked before selling it to an unknowing customer. We demanded all our money back and now they have it listed AGAIN on their website as "NEWLY ARRIVED". BUYER BEWARE!!!!!! I had an absolutely awful experience purchasing my Dodge Durango from Lodi CDJR. When I first contacted Joey Williams, the general manager, I was very specific about what I needed: a Dodge Durango GT Plus with a factory-installed tow package. I sent him photos, VIN, and written offers on my trade-in from CarMax and Carvana. He assured me it would be no problem -- that they were competitive on trade-ins -- and encouraged me to make the long drive to Lodi. I already had a check in hand from my bank, and the only question was what they would give me for my trade-in. When I arrived, Joey handed me off to Marty, the salesperson, and that's when things started to go downhill. What should have been a straightforward deal turned into a frustrating, drawn-out negotiation. Marty was pushy, dismissive, and acted like the stereotypical "used car salesman" who tries to sneak in extra costs at every turn. I actually left the dealership at one point because of how far off we were, but eventually returned when it seemed like we had finally gotten back to where we should have been from the start. Unfortunately, once I sat down with finance to finalize the deal, the nightmare got worse. The price ballooned to over $5,000 more than I expected. The finance manager casually asked, "Oh, the sales guy didn't go over this with you?" No -- because none of these charges had ever been mentioned. They tried to force add-ons like door guards and Star Guard tracking, claiming they were already installed and couldn't be removed. I was crystal clear that I did not want these items. They deducted some of them, but in the end, Star Guard was still left on my contract. At the time, I believed it had been taken off, but after a nearly five-hour process, I was exhausted, frustrated, and just wanted to get out of there. I now believe the contract I signed still included it. While I was adamant in my verbal refusals, I signed under duress and without realizing they had left it in. After the sale, I called multiple times trying to reach Joey. Instead, I kept getting Paul and Michael, who introduced themselves as "sales managers." Every time I explained the issue, they made me rehash everything without offering a resolution. They promised Joey would call me back, but that never happened until after three days and multiple messages. When Joey finally did call, he was dismissive and unhelpful, offering no solution. This is shocking behavior for a large dealership. Once I agreed to buy the car, everything should have been straightforward. Instead, it became a maze of hidden costs, pressure tactics, and broken assurances. In short: they are not honest, they will slide in charges wherever they can, and they do not stand by their word. I strongly urge anyone considering this dealership to steer clear. Save yourself the time, frustration, and disappointment. And as for Joey Williams, since you don't seem to know what a "used car salesman" is: It's the guy who smiles to your face while stabbing you in the back on paper. It's the greasy handshake followed by hidden fees, the fake reassurance that "we'll take care of you" while the contract says otherwise. It's the stench of desperation wrapped in cheap cologne, pushing garbage add-ons you never asked for and then acting shocked when you call them out. Warning for Woman Going Alone As a woman who went here alone, I strongly advise others to reconsider. The service management made promises they couldn't keep and placed me in a difficult situation without accountability. Mistakes were made on their end, but instead of owning them, they tried to shift the blame onto me assuming I wouldn't know much about vehicles. Then blaming it on mileage only for my car at pick up the second time to still have issues. I was met with yelling and manipulation, all while they tried to cover their tracks. This is not a safe or honest place for women, especially if you're by yourself. Please protect yourself and go elsewhere. I was told they would help me they then recanted and expect me to pay for my car rental. They changed the agreement two weeks later. My car was there from April 14th to April 24, Returned April 25th to May 8th. I missed work I am very shaken by this experience. An in the end my vehicle is not fixed. read more

They said they aren't going shop my credit, only said 2 banks at most to see, then shopped it to 20+ banks then said I will Not be able to get out of my ford, then said I should get the jeep and let my ford go back to the bank and that's the best bet. I have had so many not so good experiences with Lodi Dodge that I finally just have to voice my opinion in hopes that the owners will finally see some of these reviews and make some serious changes. First off why every visit to this location I am met with new employees. Why doesn't anyone stay at this location? My car has been in this service department a few times over the years and I have never had a positive experience with this dealership. I live in Lodi and want to support business here however if the customer service is not good why really why should we? I could go back to Stockton Dodge or Manteca and be treated so much better. This time my car has been in service three days for a warranty part and when I got it back for some reason my stereo touch screen went out. I don't know if when they disconnected my battery it shorted it out or if it just said ok know looks like a good time haha. So I dropped my car back off with he dealership service department on Tuesday 10/28/2025. I received a call right away that afternoon from the service advisor stating that it indeed was bad and needed to be replaced. Said will take a day or two. Fast forward now to Friday I called left a message for an update, no return call waited all weekend no car still. Called Monday was told the service advisor that I was working with was no longer working there and someone would be calling me. This dealership was honest during my first experience with them when doing regular maintenance such as oil changes. I trusted their repairs, and I wanted to go to a dealership before my own mechanic. However, I took my 2016 challenger in for a weird noise, and I received a quote of $7,000 for suspension repairs. I had my doubts so I asked my own mechanic to change the shocks as a test against the dealership. The noise persisted. I used Google to research possible problems and I concluded that the driveshaft was in need of repair. I had my mechanic replace the driveshaft and the noise is gone. read more
