I called ahead before I went to the pet store next door (def worth a visit as well) and my food was hot and ready for me. The inside is adorable and vintage in the best way. My sandwich was amazing. It was solid amounts of MEH. The Corned Beef slightly stringy and not fully flavored. The Bread was fresh rye which was good. The cheese was kinda hard and not very appealing (like it was dried out) I ended up taking it off sandwich. Asked for mustard and horseradish on the sandwich and was given two packets and a small container of horseradish to dress the sandwich myself. Honestly, the dill pickle was really good. It served a purpose but probably won't go out of my way to eat here again. read more

My friends and I enjoy coming in to Loedes for breakfast and lunch at least once a month. The corned beef hash is fantastic and they make excellent poached eggs, which is a lost art at most restaurants. The corned beef sandwiches and reubens are great as well. This is my out for breakfast spot, and my favorite take-out lunch too. Portions are large, and everything is fresh. The Reuben is my favorite. It is the best. It's quite tiny inside with counter dining and 8 or 9 four tops. It's clean, the staff is friendly. There aren't many breakfast options in the area, so we headed to Lode's Famous Reuben Deli with my brother. He loves greasy spoons, and this place was just that. It is located in a house that has been converted into a restaurant. When you walk in, you know that there are probably tons of regulars, and everybody knows your name. They have a decent sized menu at very affordable prices. I ordered the potato pancake special, which came with eggs, two potato pancakes, and a choice of bacon or sausage. It wasn't anything spectacular, but maybe it was because I didn't order a more classic breakfast. Three people at our table ordered the corn beef breakfast special, and it looked pretty good. My boyfriend said his French toast special was decent as well. The service was good, and our coffee was refilled more than once. You definitely get what you pay for, so don't go expecting culinary genius or anything like that. If you're in the area looking for a greasy spoon, this is definitely your best bet. read more

They offer poached eggs which were perfectly cooked. The little breakfast is just enough for my appetite and a deal at $3.50. Coffee was hot and also reasonable at $1.25. Rye toast was delicious, fresh and higher grade. Service also friendly and efficient. A real find! read more

Amazing. Small and quaint. TOTALLY fresh and prepared to order. The western omelet came out smoking hot, filled with perfectly sautéed vegetables and ham that was just browned enough to bring out the delicious flavor. Toast was toasted perfectly! (Nothing is worse than a piece of toast that isn't toasted!) Hash browns crisp and hot. Breakfast sandwiches can be made to order with your choice of breads, meats and cheeses. My husband enjoyed his very much. Can't wait to go back and try the potato pancakes. They sure looked good but I had no room left to try one! read more

The dining room has completely been redone. The seating looks great however a large tv has been placed on the wall. It was Saturday morning and RAMBO was blasting out of the speakers. This joint is under new management for the 4th time in as many years. Our office staff picks up sandwiches on an occasional basis. They are less than generous when compared to the more well known C-town deli's. The staff is friendly, and prices are OK, but the food is somewhat inconsistent. Maybe they can get Mike Holmgren on the payroll to get them pointed in the right direction. read more

The people here are very nice, and I enjoy eating here when I choose to do so. I always loved the corned beef, and they piled a mountain of it on your sandwich every Tuesday for only $5. The only thing I will say about this place is it has changed owners about 5 times in the last 2 years. It's pretty much unacceptable for a place to switch owners that often, but now a sign outside says that the original owners are back. They are nice people, and it's an enjoyable eating experience. The prices will take you back to the 60's. 6 of us had full breakfasts for under $40. The homemade corned beef hash is the star here: shredded, flavorful meat nicely crisped.
