    hot chocolate affair

Recently visited to enjoy the Hot chocolate affair. Such a cozy and elevated experience. The pastries were decadent and the hot chocolate was such a perfect comfort on a cold day. I definitely recommend attending closer to christmas for the vibes. This would be such a fun lil treat for kiddos and the espresso martini flight is a must for the adults.

We came for the Hot Chocolate Affair which is such a cute concept. The pot/saucer concept is adorable! You are able to choose from several kinds of chocolate, multiple toppings, and then you get a tower of pastries to choose from. If you're feeling extra, get a martini flight! The service is wonderful, and I really enjoyed the overall experience. However, I do not think it is worth the cost. For two people, it was $160 which is so much. I know you're paying for the "experience" but even that is a bit over the top. They do let you take home the leftover pastries so that's a plus!

The location was great, just close enough to downtown to get there easily, but also close enough to walkable bars and restaurants. The room was oddly warm, and no amount of messing with the thermostats changed it. There's no fridge or microwave, but you can request a complimentary one be brought to you if they're available. The room was kind of small, especially for 3 adults. There aren't enough ports for devices for that many people. Getting water is a pain though they give you 3 small bottles. We had the room cleaned on day 3 because we ran out of toilet paper and needed towels. They made the beds and replenished the towels and TP, but they left the dirty towels and two full trash cans that had food in them. It was odd. The staff is incredibly nice. I'd probably stay again, but it I would also see about alternatives.

Stayed here while visiting Nashville. One of my friends had a work conference and great location close to downtown and not too far from the airport. Walking distance from some stores, shops, bars, and restaurants. Super friendly staff especially our bellman Van. They have a nice huge gym that has pelotons. They serve water by the elevators during the day as they have front desk folks all day. There's a restaurant and store, bar, and nice amenities.

Just checked in. This was the only room available? Beautiful views of this hotel!!!

Not a fan of Loews Vanderbilt Hotel in Nashville. 1.5 stars. The front desk needs more coordination and a bit more maturity and professionalism out of its front desk staff. I made my reservations about 1-1.5 months before my stay. When checking in, I was given a room on the 3rd floor. My friends got rooms on the 7th and 9th floors. I asked the front desk staff if I could get a higher floor to be closer to my friends. One polite gentleman employee said it would be ok to switch me to the 9th floor. The two young ladies who were helping me looked and said it was not possible (they were all looking at the same screen). The employees giggled like elementary school children and eventually told me there was no option for me to switch rooms at the moment. I was stuck on the 3rd floor for 5 days and 4 nights. The third floor - AVOID. The hotel is pet friendly. I have dogs. But people leave their pets in the room while they are out. Dogs are barking constantly. The floor smells like pets! I'm guessing they also put families with very young children on the 3rd floor because there were screaming infants / young children all hours of the day. The hotel room walls are thin and you hear everything. The hotel rooms are not maintained and are falling apart. There are broken clothes racks, stains on the carpet, and stains on the bathroom walls. The Loews felt more like a Motel 6. This hotel is dirty. My guest room had a view in line of sight of the parking lot. I'm guessing 1/2 the hotel has a view of their parking lot. On a positive note - restaurant staff, cleaning staff, and valets / bell hops were very friendly and offered great customer service.

First time staying at Loews. Usually I stay near the airport, but wanted to be closer to where we'd be spending most of our time this trip. Upon arrival, Aira (I believe was her name) was super helpful. The room was clean & and the bed was comfortable. The car service is a nice feature, but we ended up using Uber as the car service was extremely busy. The location of the hotel definitely makes some things walkable or a quick Uber ride. The cons are the parking charge. I had booked through Expedia, and there was no mention of the charge ($49 self-service $54 valet). If I had known that, I may have chosen a different option. The on-site restaurant & bar are great. Another con is the $11 bottled water at the on-site shop.

I really liked this hotel! The doorman was amazing and greeted us very excitedly each morning. I arrived at 4 pm on a Thursday and checked in right away. This was the best and fastest check in experience ever. The employee asked me several times if there was anything else she could do to make my stay better. Really great service! My room had 2 comfortable queen beds and was fresh and clean when I arrived. The room had literally everything I needed down to cotton balls and qtips. I did use the iron and ironing board, keurig, and tv and everything worked well. There were also 2 warm, plush robes that I definitely used while getting ready. Cozy and clean room. Free wifi too was strong. They had infused waters in the lobby which was nice too. I liked sitting by the fire in the lobby in the morning and enjoyed a glass of wine at their nice hotel bar too. The location was absolutely perfect. I would definitely stay here again! 5 star experience!

Our experience at Loew's Nashville. When we arrived, we were offered a bigger room, so of course we said yes. When we got to the room, the condition was a bit disappointing. We were shocked to see that our view was a rooftop HVAC system. This is information. I think should've been told to us when offering us that bigger room. I've included pictures so you can see what I'm talking about. (Dirty stained bench at end of bed, multiple carpet tears, etc). In addition to the condition of the room we experienced an air conditioner that was so loud we had to have the television at a much higher volume and speak loudly over the sound of the system when running. When the air conditioner would turn off the TV would be way too loud. We also had a coffee maker that never worked. We had a bathroom sink that didn't drain. We let the person who cleaned the room know that it wasn't working, but nothing was ever done. For the first two mornings that we were there work was being done on the room next to ours starting around 7:15 AM. It wasn't the kind of noise or atmosphere we expected on our vacation. Regarding the valet parking, we decided to pay the $50 a day and yet The first two mornings when we were ready to leave, we had to wait additional time for our car, even after giving the attendants the required 20 minutes request time before showing up at the curb. That additional time was between 25 and 30 minutes of waiting at the curb. One time the lady came out and told us she couldn't find the keys to the car. When it was time to check out, we stopped at the front desk to confirm charges that were put on our room. They were accurate. The lady asked us how our stay was we politely recounted most of the issues with the room and the valet parking. She was kind and offered to remove the valet parking charges.

Enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Only thing needs to change is the ridiculous price to park in their hotel parking garage $49 a night! Totally insane!!! Would have gotten a 5 stars but the parking fee was the biggest issue!

Love this hotel sooooo clean and beautiful!

Of course, Downtown…read moreNashville has grown and with the Hockey Area and Country Music Hall of Fame right across the street and Broadway a block away, this is one convenient and large location. I was able to book our 4 nights through a combination of Hilton Points and my annual free night off my Amex credit card. Such a deal! And as a Diamond member, I had use of the Executive Lounge and a $30 food and beverage credit. We all had a very pleasant stay. The room was roomy and comfortable, the shower water was hot and strong, and we slept well. Our window faced towards the Hockey Arena, and there was selective Broadway-related noise in the evening. That became background noise soon enough that really didn't affect sleep. However, I suspect that this Hotel is due for some refurbishment as the armrests on the couch were worn and at least one cabinet molding came off. Housekeeping sometimes came late in the day, and after they skipped us after the first night, we made it a point to remind them. As for the $30 food credit, we used the convenient coffee kiosk by the elevators often. Fruit, cookie bars, coffee, and other snacks were often available at the Executive Lounge, although I found this to be one more basic offerings that I'd experienced with Hilton. We didn't really figure out how to have a proper breakfast here, but there were plenty of excellent choices within a short walking distance. The Italian restaurant (separate review) was a pleasant surprise one night for dinner, in terms of value, good food, and excellent service. Then there were the 3 elevator banks, one of which was out-of-service, and required knowing that there were 2 call buttons to keep track of. Parts of the day did require some waiting as every floor (of 10) was often in play. As we headed back to the airport yesterday, I agree with my brother-in-laws comment that with all the location and room positives, this hotel lacked a certain character. Maybe it was size, maybe it was good service without a lot of personality, or maybe because of where they are, they can mail it in occasionally. Or maybe the little things we noticed started to add up. I'm a loyal Hilton Honors member, but if there's a next time for Nashville, I might look at some of their other nearby options.

I brought these issues to the staff's attention upon checkout when I received my bill and saw so many things wrong with it. The person who answered the phone (night auditor) was leaving around 7am and told me he couldn't help me and that I needed to call back later to speak with a manager. He did not take notes or pass my issue along to anyone, so when I called back later, no one was aware of what happened. To make matters worse, it took a manager 1.5 hours to resolve the issue after my initial phone call at 7am. I called the front desk 3 times and after 1.5 hours with no call back or resolution, I had to go down there myself and demand to speak to a manager. This was my first wedding anniversary with my husband and we will never forget it because of how bad the service was. Even with the additional charges being removed and the manager refunding us about $100 in bar charges, it wasn't enough to make the situation better. We should have been refunded for the entire "With Love" package and charged a standard room rate for our entire stay since the entire "With Love" package was not delivered as promised on the Omni website. The manager tried to help us and did what she thought made sense (removing the charges and comping some bar drinks from our tab), but that doesn't make up for ruining our first wedding anniversary. I NEVER should have had to follow up on any of this. The "With Love" package should have been experienced as advertised and if they couldn't do that, I shouldn't have been charged for it at all. It changes your nightly room rate to a higher cost than what standard guests are paying. I still paid "extra" and didn't receive what I paid for.
