Such a unique concept for Baton Rouge! I loved the atmosphere. Half of the building is pickle ball courts and half is a bar area. In the middle, there is an outdoor space with patio chairs and huge TVs. So, you don't even have to look at pickle ball if you don't want to or vice versa. We came on a Saturday to watch some football, and this was the perfect place for it. We sat at the bar and there were tons of TVs. In the area we were, we could have gone inside to the restaurant but we sat at the bar that was outside but covered. Service was extremely slow at this bar, but we weren't in a rush so it was fine. We got beers and a salad. Everything was good. There was music playing and tons of tennis ball tables and areas to mingle. This was such a cool place and I can't wait to come back! read more

Girls night out and our first time playing pickleball and we had an absolute blast! The facility is huge with several courts and even a stage for live music. I caught part of the band's set and it added to the fun vibe of the night. Food and drinks were so good! I had the Smashburger with bacon, fries, and a 20oz frosé. Everything came out hot, fresh, and fast. After eating, we hit the courts. One of the staff members kindly joined us to teach the rules and stuck around to guide us through our first game. Her patience and energy made the experience even better. By the end of the night, we were laughing, sipping, and getting in a mini workout. Great food, strong drinks, and even better memories. A kind man named Dj made the process to get onto the court really easy. Usually I'm weary of this place because of how confusing the waiver process can be. However, Dj stuck out like a sore thumb for his astounding determination to make it as easy for me as possible. Props to DJ! read more

Place recently opened on Burbank, and it is often packed. It's best to reserve in advance because most afternoons are already reserved or have a waitlist. I wasn't sure about the process originally but everyone needs to make an account and sign a waiver. It is about $20 for half an hour, excluding tax. They also have happy hour M-F 2-6pm. They have 5 indoor and 5 outdoor courts. To be honest, the indoor courts are vented with AC while the outdoor courts have shelter from the direct sun but it is still hot from humidity or even rain. Their couple of fans add a bit of breeze, but if you play on the outdoor court, it'll be hot and you will The service was somewhat slow to get new cups and water refills. It was difficult to get the attention of servers. On July 30th, we lost power and decided to head over to Court to Table for a snack--plus, they had lights and air conditioning! Since we weren't planning to have a full meal, we chose to sit at the bar. Our bartender, Katie, was very attentive and made us feel right at home. We ordered the quesadilla appetizer with pork, which featured a flavorful four-cheese blend. It came with pico de gallo and an avocado crema that had just the right amount of zip for dipping. This place is has a great vibe, good energy, great food. The only thing I will say is the service needs some work. Every time I have gone they got my order wrong or drink made wrong. I waited 50 mins for a single order. I love what they have done to the new space! This is my first time coming here since the volleyball place closed down (can't even remember what it was called). We ate outside and it was such a beautiful sunny day with plentiful shade. People were out and about playing pickleball. I love the mozzarella sticks. I'd say if I was having a bad day, I could get these sticks for take out as a treat. It's that good. The marinara didn't taste overly sugary. The brussel sprouts were okay, I think they were good on their own but the cheese whip could have been sweeter maybe? I had higher expectations for the hot honey pizza but it was alright! Also got the steak and frites, would def get that again! Our waitress Bella was so nice and attentive. She was working our two top alongside what looked like a 10 top. In a Real Pickle at Court to Table We spent Sunday afternoon (Sep 14) at Court to Table -- about 2.5 hours of pickleball and drinks/snacks with the family. The build-out and décor are absolutely fantastic. They've created a beautiful space that really should be the go-to spot in town. Unfortunately, everything else was a major letdown. We booked a pickleball lesson and the instructor never showed up. Court management was sloppy -- the group before us wasn't asked to clear off, so we had to awkwardly tell them ourselves. The court-side area was left dirty with dishes and no one ever came by to take an order from us. We even paid to borrow a paddle that was literally falling apart and had to swap it out. The service inside at the bar was equally poor. While the young staff were friendly enough, most were standing around chatting or glued to their phones. It was clear there was zero management presence. We did enjoy the beer and appetizers, but overall this place has serious operational issues. With the right leadership, it could be incredible -- but as it stands, I wouldn't go back. read more

The atmosphere is great, but the food and overall execution just weren't there. With fresher ingredients, better flavor, and staff who is informed about what specials are being advertised, this place could have real potential. But right now, I wouldn't go back for the food alone. Pros: The place itself is beautiful. It is clean, stylish, and it really feels upscale when you walk in. Our server was polite. Cons: Right off the bat, the staff didn't know about a "Bones and Buckets Special" we saw on social media, which is part of why we came. The hostess had no idea, our server didn't either, and after she checked, we were told there's no special, just regular pricing on the wings and beer. This was odd because Court to Table's social media posted the specials for the week and on the post, it lists "Bones and Buckets Special 6:30-10" on Wednesday. Photo attached for reference. The food was a letdown across the board, and it honestly stopped us from ordering entrées. We came in planning to make it a full dinner, but after the appetizers, we decided to cut our losses. Food Breakdown: We ordered four appetizers to get a feel for the menu, but most of them lacked flavor and in some cases freshness. We ordered the hummus and were wildly disappointed. It was probably the biggest miss of the night. It was completely bland, like plain beans with a little paprika sprinkled in. The bell peppers that came with it were slimy and had zero crunch, clearly prepped a long time ago and then served. The pita bread was even worse. It was soggy with oil, doughy, and not toasted at all. It honestly looked and felt like it had been sitting in oil for hours. We also got the smoked wings. The flavor of the wings was good, but we left still confused about the advertised special that no one on the staff knew about. Next we had the quesadillas. They were exactly what you would expect from a sports bar. Not bad, not good, just ok. The green sauce they were served with had an odd taste but the quesadillas alone were ok. Lastly, we had the loaded nachos which are typically served with pulled pork but we opted to "upgrade" to the steak. We were extremely disappointed with these. They were bone-dry and had barely any cheese at all, which, to me, is the crucial part of nachos. Without the moisture you'd get from pulled pork, the steak version was just dry chips with a few toppings scattered around. The steak itself was also very dry. You can see from the pictures that there was almost no cheese, and what it did have was dried to the bottom of the tray. I think they rely on the pulled pork for the moisture, but we opted to go for the steak as it is offered on the menu. If steak is offered it should still be done well. Cannot speak to the nachos had we just stuck with the pulled pork. The whole plate just looked and tasted sad. Bottom Line: Court to Table has the look but not the follow-through. It has potential to be a good food spot. Until then, I would come here for the atmosphere, not the meal. read more

We made a reservation but ended up arriving early and they seated us quickly in the indoor bar area. Our waitress was absolutely amazing- I don't know her name, but she was truly so good!! We ordered quesadillas for the app and then ordered smash burgers and tacos. The food was delicious!! The waitress brought bottles of water to refill our cups throughout the meal. The men played several rounds of corn hole inside and then we went outside to listen to the acoustic performer.
