Hearty generous food. Well made in a classic establishment. A great stop for breakfast or lunch on the road to the Berkshires.

Our favorite cozy breakfast/lunch spot. It's a typical diner with friendly staff and some classic favorites. When we go on trips we always try to make a point to come through here on our way home. (Truthfully it's also a great hangover fix) If you're on the search for a small town diner with small town charm, this is the place for you!

Meh, old greasy diner food" that's outdated. Staff is mostly nice. The place needs updating, or a good scrubbing.

My eggs are always done perfectly, their waffles are great, and my boyfriend loves the Sunday breakfast buffet that they do.

Then let's talk about the food and small town America vibe. It's an old school diner feel with a counter and photos on the walls. The menu is everything you expect from a legit diner -- burgers and fries and ice cold cokes. All perfectly prepared and presented. What did I have? Two eggs over medium on a toasted everything bagel with melted Swiss cheese and a side of fries. What did I get? Exactly what I ordered! And fast! Woohoo for McGrane's. They got it going on!

The waitress disappeared before I could call it to her attention and I had to go up to the counter to let them know. They were very apologetic and heated up our plates but we could not finish them because they were not very appetizing. I had to flag down the waitress to ask for a coffee refill. My wife had a side of sausage patties which apparently gave her gastrointestinal distress. When we went to pay, we discovered they take CASH or CHECK ONLY. Luckily I had enough cash because I rarely carry cash any more. Sad because we were looking for a local breakfast spot.

Our server, Chris, produced menus and took drink orders. Although I am a big fan of housemade corned beef hash (and Drago's is exceptional), I was intrigued by one of the numerous specials, "The Pastor" Benny. It consisted of two separate towers of sausage patty on the bottom, then potato pancake, with poached egg and hollandaise sauce on top...and several spices. It was amazing, like a tsunami hitting my taste buds. The potato concoction was perfect, as were the poached eggs. Two of my friends had Granby Oaks, and the 3rd had several ala carte items. All of us were members of the clean plate club. Chris was excellent and efficient, and kept us well-caffeinated. Overall, great food and service, and reasonable prices. One caution...if you come on weekends, probably call in advance to see if they take reservations. They get crowded. 5 pastor benny stars

My wife and I were headed in that general direction on an early Saturday morning and this was the spot I picked. I will say, going in, I knew that breakfast may take some time and that Drago's isn't what I'd call, "diner-quick." That was ok with me because I had time to kill before a loose 9am appointment. It took a bit for us to be acknowledged and seated but I was ok with that. Our waitress was warm and welcoming and though I knew what I was going to order before I even left the house, the specials she rattled off all sounded great. I am obsessed with biscuits and sausage gravy and knew it was on the menu. It's not only on the menu but the staff's shirts all mention the biscuit. DAMN that is a good biscuit. It's a HUGE cheddar and chive biscuit (big enough for a sandwich). Paired with the sausage gravy and my perfect over-medium eggs it was a wonderful meal. My wife had the French Dip benny which she liked but would not order again. She felt the roast beef was a little tough. Hers came with a "loaded potato cake" which was insanely delicious. It's about the size of a crab cake, made with shredded potatoes and was so, so good. Of note-reasonable prices, many vegan, vegetarian and GF options (including vegan meats and cheese). The lunch menu looks really tasty too. I will be back (and I will get both a biscuit and a loaded potato cake to go, in addition to another great meal).

We live close by, it's only a half mile away from our house -- within walking distance ! The place had a "Rustic vibe", with an industrial look, we liked the atmosphere as soon as we had walked in. We ordered a calamari appetizer and a dozen Sweet & Spicy Wings to start off with. My wife also went with a Malibu Dream cocktail for her drink (it was outstanding). Calamari was excellent, marinara was spot on. Wings were meaty with a crispy outing coating, and the sauce was flavorful, but not overpowering. My wife's Steak sandwich was served on fresh grinder roll, the ribeye melted in her mouth (I sampled a bit of it, and plan to order the Steak sandwich on my next visit to Mulligans). My Caesar salad was also very fresh tasting. Service was stellar, Carolina was friendly & attentive. Mulligans is a Winner, an easy 5 Star rating. We plan to be back again very soon.

These days it's hard to find a cafe that isn't overpriced and better than just average. But Toasted Oat hits the high points of quality of cook on the food, even if the ingredients may not all be top notch. They have breakfast sandwiches, bowls and scrambles, as well as regular sandwiches, salads and burritos. We enjoyed the regular breakfast sandwich with spinach and cheese (subbed the meat but wish the spinach had been cooked in - $7) and the breakfast scramble which included 2 eggs, 3 veggies, cheese, protein all mixed/cut up together, as well as hash brown (didn't exactly look homemade?) and toast ($11). Everything was served in to-go containers so the looks weren't the best but makes sense given the place and that most people probably don't dine in. You order at the counter and they bring you your food. Everything takes time to come out so you know it's done to order. They also have some coffee and tea. They had a few coffee cake items in a glass display but didn't look homemade either. It feels like a cafe should have more selection of pastries but again bother me. Service was friendly and patient. The actual location isn't that great visually either. There is one longer table and a few smaller ones, but it's not a big place and not decorated to impress (fine by me!) It is located in a small nondescript plaza with an Indian market. Small parking lot. Wish this small business well!
