This was nasty and it's so disappointing, as Logan's was my favorite place growing up. I haven't seen a location in forever and I get why. The food didn't used to taste like this. The mashed potatoes were POTATO FLAKES! The chicken fried steak and chicken tasted like it had been under a heat lamp, wasn't fresh or crispy at all. Even the damn rolls were stale. The service we received was extremely disappointing. Our server, Isabella, took 20 minutes to come to our table, even after I had to go back to the hostess and ask for her. She had an attitude, interrupted me, and spoke over me when she finally arrived. Despite waiting for so long, we went ahead and ordered our drinks, appetizer, and dinner. I asked for sweet tea with lemon, but she brought me unsweet tea with lime. When I asked for lemon, she refused and claimed that there was no difference between lemons and limes. She never brought us water or bread, and when she finally brought our salads, one had the wrong dressing. She took it away and gave it to another table, then gave us the salad from that table. She disappeared for a long time and didn't refill our drinks. When the food arrived, my son's steak looked unappetizing and tasted terrible. We were ready to leave at that point. I never received the lemons for my tea, which I also wanted for my shrimp and fish. Every other person in the restaurant had lemon except for me. When I asked for a refill of tea with lemon, she brought me another glass with lime. I don't understand why it was so difficult to get lemons when other tables had a plate full of them. One even fell on the floor as Isabella walked by, and when I showed her what a lemon was, she just laughed. When she finally came back to our table, we asked for the check. She brought me a fresh glass of tea with three lemons and smirked. We noticed that two other tables were also complaining about her to the manager, so it was clear that her behavior and service were consistently poor. There was a long line of people waiting to be seated as we left, so I chose not to ask for the manager and instead leave a review. Isabella was the worst server I've ever encountered, and her lack of awareness and care was unacceptable. Please consider choosing better staff to represent your restaurant, as this was a truly terrible experience. The steak was the worst we've ever had, and the salmon was overcooked. Logan's was busy for a Thursday night. There was a 10 to 15-minute wait for a table. Logan's is a casual throw your peanut shells on the floor dining atmosphere. Our server was the best part of our experience. He was friendly and prompt and fixed mistakes quickly. We started our evening by ordering two top-shelf Ritas on the rocks. They were flavorless and watered down. Each dinner entree comes with a free basket of hot bread rolls. They came out right before our main courses, and they were the only part of the meal my colleague enjoyed. The mains (salmon and steak) were overcooked, dry, and flavorless. They messed up my side order and gave me the baked sweet potato, instead of the fries. Our server quickly solved this. The fries were at least somewhat tasty. read more

I went once and it wasn't great. Figured it was a bad day. Decided to give it another shot. And I will never return to this location, or perhaps any location for that matter. I went here with family. Got the chicken bites appetizer. And I had to stop my grandmother from eating the chicken because it was RAW. Still pink. I got a ribeye with shrimp, corn, and house salad with ranch. Poured ranch onto my salad and tossed it around to mix it. Then I see a bug crawling to the top of my salad. Nope. Will never take my family there again. I felt so bad for our waitress because she was so kind to us, and we know the poor quality of food isn't her fault. read more

Many years ago we tried Logan's several times and didn't like the food at all. My sister and I went yesterday to give it another try. We are glad we went! April is the worst server. She intentionally was rude and messed up my tables orders. I could tell she was picking on us the whole time compared to the other tables. Everything took forever. When we got our ticket she told my boyfriend "I hope your personality gets better, I don't know why you keep coming here, we don't want you here" obviously didn't care that she was still on the clock. Her manager Keoki Anderson backed her up completely and walked away when we tried to ask for his managers information. We had to get the kitchen manager to come out and give us the info. If you're thinking of stopping by Logan's Roadhouse in San Antonio, Texas, do yourself a favor and keep driving. My recent visit was so awful, I'm convinced I was being pranked. This place is like a crash course in how *not* to run a restaurant. Imagine a rundown roadhouse with dim, flickering lights that somehow make everything look worse. The floors were sticky, and the tables had a strange film on them, as if they'd been absorbing layers of spilled drinks and bad decisions for years. The entire place smelled like a stale combination of old fry oil and musty peanut shells--honestly, I nearly lost my appetite just walking in. Service? Nonexistent. I waited forever just to be acknowledged, and when a server finally dragged themselves over, they looked like they'd rather be anywhere else. I tried asking a question about the menu, and all I got was a blank stare before they wandered off for another 20 minutes. Then came the food disaster. If you think you know what a bad steak tastes like, you don't--at least not until you've had one at Logan's. My steak was somehow cold, dry, and tough all at once, seasoned with what tasted like a sad sprinkle of old table salt. Have been here numerous times with the place half full/half empty, however you want to say it, and service is painfully slow. HOWEVER, we went on Valentine's day, and were surprised to see the place jumping! Jam packed, several managers walking around asking how our food was,(2 stopped by our table during our meal), and the food came out hot and within a reasonable amount of wait time. Our server did seem overwhelmed, but we still got what we needed (bread and drink refills). Pretty good and this was our first time eating here. The rolls are so soft, warm, and delicious. My hubby wanted some sweet butter like them other place' but it was great. Ordered a chicken fried chicken and baked potato, hubby ordered a Ribeye 'medium'. The service was prompt and the food was delicious. I was skeptical because of the revIews Posted here, but we enjoyed it. The CFC was 2 5 oz chicken breasts (hand battered when ordered and was plenty of food, I didn't even touch the second breast. The Buda location is the best in the chain! I ordered Ribeye cooked "medium" Very few places can ever get it right, but, their steak was spot on perfect! I usually end up drowning any steak in A1, but I didn't have use one drop of the steak sauce! every bite was tasty! The best steak I've had in a very long time, I would love to know what they season with. Came here tonight to try Logan's for the first time. With only a 5 minute wait you would think the service would be quicker than the experience we got. The waitress walking past us multiple times before even asking for our drink order, tending to her larger tables. 15 minutes later we got drinks and an appetizer. After ordering our food right away we waited 50 minutes for our dinner, which never came. The waitress did not come over once during this time to clear our table or fill our drink, or to even update us on why the food was taking so long. When we told her to cancel our order after being there for an hour, she charged us for the appetizer and had nothing to say. First and last time going to Logan's. Wish I could post a picture but we never got our food ( and the mozzarella sticks we ordered were undercooked.) No manager came over, horrible service. I used to go to the Logan's on Stassney quite often and it was pretty much what I expected each time. Nothing spectacular, but consistent good food and service. I decided to go to the Buda location today and was disappointed with almost every aspect. Immediately upon arrival, every staff member that we interacted with really did not seem to want to be there to the point where I felt like I was inconveniencing them with my presence. Next disappointment was a hygiene issue with the cutlery being dirty. Not just smudges or anything like that, but dried food. Then came the food itself. For a chain whose menu features steak pretty heavily, the ribeye I ordered was more fat than anything else. The quality of the cut was extremely poor. The upsides were that our waitress was super friendly and attentive, and the steak was cooked as ordered (med-rare) which is something which seems like other locations can't get quite right. I've come here often and usually leave semi satisfied but last night was the worst experience I've ever had dining out. First, we waited over 15 minutes to get our drinks so long that the margarita came out before the sodas. Now we were never asked how our food was. We never got refills. I ordered the prime rib medium rare it came out well done. I told the manager, got a new one 20 minutes later, and very rare. What was done to make sure we had a better experience? Nothing at all but a rushed check. Never will we come back. Which is sad because we used this restaurant as a family spot regularly. Update: Came back, had to try it again for the convince factor. Went in for lunch after shopping at Cabelas. I wanted to order the 6oz sirloin with broccoli and a salad. Waitress says they're out of broccoli and a few other sides. So i order the salad and sweet potato fries with the steak. I eat half my salad when the steak comes out and the person that brought the steak tried to take the salad. I pull it away and tell her I'm not done. Smh. Finish the salad and cut into the steak. No flavor at all, just a few pepper flakes. A waitress walks by and i ask her for some a1 and Tabasco. They're out of Tabasco but do I want the a1? Nope. Geez. Had a vegetarian dinner. I just the steak on the plate. The original waitress came to get the plates and drop off the check. Prior to moving back to Texas last year it had been years since I was last in a Logan's steak house. I used to love going to Logan's. That all changed after my last visit to the Buda location. My wife went in a few weeks ago and the entire experience was awful. we were seated next to a couple that appeared to be pretty drunk or stoned. It was 3 p.m. The man sitting next to us passed out and his head actually smacked into his meal. He didn't budge. He snored but didn't move. His partner seemed unconcerned. My wife wanted to stay. Our meal came and it was cold. My steak was rare and I asked for medium. I figure it's never a good idea to send food back, so I let it go. We were celebrating a special day for my wife and I didn't want to spoil it for her. She later told me her order wasn't correct either. So we ate and tried to make the best of it. About ten minutes into the meal, the couple next to us left and another waitress started setting up for a large party. She started moving tables by pulling them across the floor and making loud scraping noises. I've never had a poker face and the young lady could tell i wasn't happy with the noise. Her response? she kept it going for about five minutes and she looked at me like I was the problem. She went so far as to bring a male employee over who looked at me like he wanted to kick my ass. But moving forward. I used a credit card to pay for the meal. I only used it at Logan's on that day and not at all the week before. It had been at least six weeks since I last used the card in a restaurant. I gave it to a Logan's employee when it was time to settle up. When I awoke the next morning, I had a fraud alert from Citibank. A few actually. The largest was for $739. To recap: this was probably the worst restaurant experience I've ever had And my wife and I will never eat at a Logan's again. read more

Spent nearly $40 on an online pick up order and the Cesar salad and french fries were missing and half of our meal was overcooked. See pictures. The mozzarella sticks were so cooked that when you bite into them it's like a string cheese stick you get for your kids. Even the vegetable screwer, which is normally delicious and my favorite thing to eat there, was so burned that they were dry as can be! The sweet potato was overcooked and all of the burnt flakiness of the skin got into the potato when I went to eat it. I'm so over restaurants in Buda and Kyle. Never again.
