I've been here twice now. The first time was fantastic. The second time was a disaster. First, we were very confused because three waiters came up to us, so we weren't sure who was our real server. I ordered a peach lemonade. When they brought over the peach lemonade, I mentioned to my husband how pretty it was because it was in a cute glass. I took a sip and realized it was alcohol. I gave it to my husband to double check. He said yes that's definitely alcohol. We politely asked our server if we could get a regular peach lemonade. The lady instantly said " are you 20, ooo someone's gonna get in trouble." I explained yes I'm over 21 however, I'm five months pregnant. She then laughed about it. Replaced the drink this time it was just a peach lemonade. While we are waiting for food, my husband and I mentioned how no one apologized for that. So we were already a little irritated. After waiting for 50+ minutes. We were wondering where our food was. We're getting hot and noticed that there was a lot of smoke coming from the back. After 10 more minutes of waiting, our server came up to us. And said she forgot to put in our order. Again, no apology or anything, but we've already been waiting for over an hour now. She went to go put in the order. But my husband was like maybe we should just leave and just pay for drinks right now because he works overnight and it was starting to get late. We're tired of waiting. A few minutes later, she came back up to us told us that the kitchen is on fire (which is why it was hot and smoky ) and the food will be out shortly. We decided to keep waiting. I was really excited to try my food because the first time we came our food was so good. Probably an hour and a half goes by from the time we arrived. And our food finally came out. The manager also came out and just mentioned how the food will be comped, but we still have to pay for drinks. She didn't apologize or anything. She just acted like this happens often and oh well basically. When our food arrived, it really wasn't that that good. The steak was great. But I also got crabcakes and shrimp. The shrimp had absolutely no seasoning on it. And the crabcakes were very soggy. My husband steak was a bit overcooked, which wasn't a real issue. But his sweet potato was pretty raw & hard. He said it was hard to eat. Overall, this second time visiting, Logan's roadhouse was a complete disaster so much happened. I still wish we got an apology for the alcohol mishap. I ordered a pickup order. It was hard getting someone's attention to come to the pickup counter. I got my order and headed back to the car and noticed I didn't have my drinks. So I went back in to just grab them but it took a good 5min to get someone to come to the counter. Besides service being terribly slow for pickup, our food (chicken fried chicken and shrimp scampi) was decent. Although, I did not enjoy the blueberry crumble. The atmosphere here in this Logan's Roadhouse is very cozy and quaint, in a pretty busy area of Buda. The wait was not that bad, the rolls we got welcomed with were steaming fresh, and the food was great. I forgot to take a picture before devouring it all, but I can tell you that the top sirloin, corn, and mashed potatoes are mighty yummy! Anyone looking for a nice lunch while in the area should definitely check them out. read more

LONG WAIT!!! After arriving at 7:30 PM the hostess said the wait would be 10-20 minutes. Realizing it was Friday night and they were busy the wait time did not sound unreasonable. Placed my name and phone number with the hostess in order to be notified for our table. At 8:15 PM I heard the wait time was an hour. After waiting 45 minutes we left to eat elsewhere. Today (Saturday) at 10:45 AM I received the following: "Thank you! Your name has been added to the waitlist at Logan's! We will notify you when your table is ready." The notification came 15 HOURS AFTER signing in with the hostess. This is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE! Hope the other people waiting there longer than I had a better experience. No wonder for the low rating. There should be an allowance for a No Star Rating. read more

It has been over two years since we have been to the Road House. The ones that were in San Antonio Texas were shut down because of lackluster performance and possibly the bankruptcy. Our closest one now is in Buda and I was given a gift card to eat here. We had to travel over 60 miles, but luckily we were able to get other things done to make the trip worthwhile. The surroundings in the restaurant were as usual from what I remembered, and the TV is even had a hockey game on! That in itself is a miracle since most of South Texas hates hockey. Our service was good and she was very attentive to our needs. I did fail to mention to her the quality of the baked potato was not up to par. It taste like it had been sitting there for about five hours. If it weren't for the baked potato, I would have given this place a perfect rating. If an option of giving no stars is available, that is what this restaurant deserved. Honestly, Denny's is way better than this place. Two of us came in for a quick dinner. We got to a booth quickly and asked what we wanted to drink. I asked for strawberry lemonade but got a regular watered-down lemonade instead. We paid for that. The rolls came after the drinks. The rolls were steaming hot with butter melting on the top, very delicious. That upped our expectations of what we ordered: crispy crab cakes, a burger with fried cheese, bacon with waffle fries, and a French Dip with mushrooms, onions, and waffle fries. The crab cakes were ICY COLD. We paid for that. The burger was decent but the fried cheese was the mozzarella sticks and it was semi-cold to the point the cheese was like glue. The buns were stale. No waffle fries but got regular fries instead. We paid for that. The French Dip was so salty with canned soggy mushrooms (disgusting) and the onions weren't hot. The dip had canned green beans in it. No waffle fries but got regular fries instead. That was returned to the kitchen. We didn't pay for that. The reason why we got the regular fries is when we asked what happened to the waffle fries when our food arrived. The waitress said they are out. Why didn't she tell us when we ordered?!? Mmmm. It would be nice if the waitress came back before our food arrived and let us know that then offer a substitute for free. By the way, the regular fries weren't that great. Over-seasoned. Just had dinner here and my New York Strip was PERFECTLY cooked, and so tender it just about melted in my mouth. The rolls came out so hot they were almost too hot to touch, melting the butter on contact. SO delicious! It's been about 3 years since my husband and I have been to this location and tonight's experience wasn't great. It has nothing to do with the staff who were nothing but kind but the food was just awful. Old lettuce on our salads, no croutons bc they were out, overcooked steak with zero flavor, rubbery shrimp, slimy rice, and overcooked salmon. My husband was a trooper and just held his tongue about the poor quality food and stale beer he was served and I was just ready to go. We won't be going back ever. I hope they can either get better ingredients or better cooks or both bc I don't think we are the only ones who have experienced this bad food. Don't waste your money. It's getting a 2 star review bc they do have tasty rolls that were fresh and hot each time. I feel terribly torn about my review. I shall do it in two parts. 1. I am hard of hearing and must lip read, so with masks, communication is by pen and paper. The staff here treated me in such a respectful and outstanding manner, that I was stunned. They were remarkable in this. I appreciate it so much, oh so much more than I can say. But... 2. The food is awful. The salad was so dry they had to bring me extra dressing. The steak was so dry that I ate it with A-1 Sauce, which tells you it was bad. A good steak requires no condiments. I ordered a margarita neat and they brought it on the rocks, ignoring my order details completely. I told them it was alright, because we must never waste alcohol. The baked potato was "ok" but nothing exciting. I needed to ask for salt and still it was just "ok." True, I could have contested and let them know I needed another steak, etc, but I was on a time crunch and starving. I had to eat and then deliver a meal to another person (they left out their salad dressing, I should have checked the bag). It had already been a long day. The place was 1/2 empty. The attention span seemed awfully lacking for such an empty place. Don't go here. The staff is outstanding and they do their best. Was told 10-15 minute wait. They were accurate as it was only a 10 minute wait. They give you warm rolls while you're waiting for your food. They were good. I ordered the grilled shrimp skewers. It comes with a small amount of rice and 2 sides. I chose the ceasar salad and baked potato. Food was good, but the shrimp was a little too salty. My husband ordered the salmon. It came with a small amount of rice and 2 sides. He chose green beans and broccoli. He said it was good, and the lemon pepper seasoning on the salmon was quite good. read more

My group of three visited Logan's at 2 in the afternoon on Black Friday. It was a bad experience all around. The restaurant was practically empty during our visit and there was no wait for seating. However, nobody came to take even our drink order for over 20 minutes. I finally had to go find someone to let them know they forgot us. The remainder of the visit was about the same. Ordered a glass of wine three times and never got it. Waiter finally said "I forgot to tell you we're out." Food wise, food was decent but all three steaks were way over-cooked. But since we had already been at the location trying to get a meal for a solid hour, we elected to just eat them regardless. Terrible service! We won't return! read more

Picked up an order for 3 around 30 minutes ago, we were so disappointed we're writing reviews while the experience is still fresh on our minds. We show up on time and call to inform them we're at curbside, we're told it'll be another 10 min. When we call back after giving them an additional 5 min, they're curt on the phone. Ok we dismissed it. We arrive home (10 min drive) my mashed potatoes are cold, the rolls are cold, my chicken fried steak is cold. How is this possible if we were told to wait because the food wasn't done? My guess is that my food was done but the rest of the order was not. The other two orders were chicken teriyaki. They say they come with rice but it was maybe a tablespoon of rice, not even kidding. But the worst part was that it was severely over seasoned. I mean inedible! It's raining so we're not going back out. We'll sit here and figure something out because this went in the trash. $50 for absolutely nothing. The service by Jessica started out good but was derailed because my order was wrong, and my food had the blackening seasoning on it after I requested it not have any due to being unable to eat spicy food because of a medical reason. It came out doused in blackening seasoning, she offered to replace the shrimp, or would I like something else- I opted for the chopped steak with broccoli. After 25 minutes of waiting she told me there's one more group ahead of me then my meal would be brought out. Usually these things go to the head of the line as a priority but apparently not here at Logan's. BOTH my husband and I ate by ourselves, not wanting his food to get cold while I continued to wait, THEN I ate alone because my replacement took an incredibly long time. I drove to this location from Austin, Tx, on 8/30/20 in btw 1p - 2p. I called in the order for pick up. I was told the order would be ready in 15 - 20 mins and it was. The Manager Oscar took my money for the order. Oscar was very friendly and patient. While other guests coming in to be seated. Oscar displayed excellent composure. Oscar remained welcoming to all who entered. It was my first time picking up To-Go in Buda since the Pandemic. Oscar made my experience pleasant. I feel comfortable picking up To-Go and possibly dining in, in the near future. The food was still hot when I arrived home. I'm a very satisfied Logan's customer. Keep up the good work. Bad reviews about the service aside, I think Logan's is decent as long as your not expecting Ruth's Chris. Balling on a budget and they got rolls! Little Rooster has a love hate relationship with the peanuts. He works near the entire visit trying to break or smash the shells open to get the nuts. Service has been spotty during some of our visits. Case in point yesterday another server brought us our drinks, plates, and rolls before our actual server made it to the table. Really, no we don't need more plates counting two plates for each diner. Then she brought more rolls so no foul there. The promotional two can dine for $13.99 has been given to us even when it wasn't the posted times or day which is nice on the wallet. Food wise, I usually go for the 6 or 8 ounce sirloin with a caesar salad and vegetable skewer. The kid bounces between the burger (made with the yummy rolls) and shrimp nuggets. That would be popcorn shrimp for you adults, adding the word "nugget" to the description gets the boy to eat them. He also dips the peanuts in the provided butter, culinary genius I tell you. Advice for Logan's is to stick with the basics like I do; the cooks seem fairly skilled at cooking to proper temperature. Best advice for the management is to continue to work on the front of house and make sure your servers aren't hanging out back flirting with the fryer guy. For Buda, Texas Logan's is a solid three star place. read more

The service we received was extremely disappointing. Our server, Isabella, took 20 minutes to come to our table, even after I had to go back to the hostess and ask for her. She had an attitude, interrupted me, and spoke over me when she finally arrived. Despite waiting for so long, we went ahead and ordered our drinks, appetizer, and dinner. I asked for sweet tea with lemon, but she brought me unsweet tea with lime. When I asked for lemon, she refused and claimed that there was no difference between lemons and limes. She never brought us water or bread, and when she finally brought our salads, one had the wrong dressing. She took it away and gave it to another table, then gave us the salad from that table. She disappeared for a long time and didn't refill our drinks. When the food arrived, my son's steak looked unappetizing and tasted terrible. We were ready to leave at that point. I never received the lemons for my tea, which I also wanted for my shrimp and fish. Every other person in the restaurant had lemon except for me. When I asked for a refill of tea with lemon, she brought me another glass with lime. I don't understand why it was so difficult to get lemons when other tables had a plate full of them. One even fell on the floor as Isabella walked by, and when I showed her what a lemon was, she just laughed. When she finally came back to our table, we asked for the check. She brought me a fresh glass of tea with three lemons and smirked. We noticed that two other tables were also complaining about her to the manager, so it was clear that her behavior and service were consistently poor. There was a long line of people waiting to be seated as we left, so I chose not to ask for the manager and instead leave a review. Isabella was the worst server I've ever encountered, and her lack of awareness and care was unacceptable. Please consider choosing better staff to represent your restaurant, as this was a truly terrible experience. The steak was the worst we've ever had, and the salmon was overcooked.
