Ordered a ribeye medium rare and got a steak that was completely red and uncooked on the inside. There were large chunks of white unrendered fat and large strips of silverskin along the whole thing. The seasoning was very underwhelming I lost my appetite after trying desperately to saw through rubbery gristle and silverskin. The server was great and the appetizer was fine. read more

Saturday, September 26, 2015 was our first AND last visit ever to a Logan's Roadhouse. The food was beyond sub-par, bordering on disgusting. My husband had the steak and shrimp. The steak was of poor quality to begin with, and then overcooked to make matters worse. Since when does medium-well equate to gray in ANY "chef's" tiny mind? His baked potato was too salty for him to eat... and this is a man who adores salt. I ordered a house salad and the Kentucky Trio, requesting chicken strips, mozzarella sticks and fried pickles. The tomato in my house salad had clearly died of old age in the kitchen; it was mushy and flat-soured. When our mains came (35 minutes after ordering) the mozzarella sticks had morphed into tater skins. The waitress did remedy the issue, but on top of forgetting our silverware, the disgusting salad and the horrendous ticket time, by that point it was beyond unacceptable. The fried pickles were overdone, the marinara sauce was watery... in all, the warm dinner rolls were THE only redeeming point to the meal. $50 for two people, and 7 hours later we're still tossing the Tums bottle back and forth between us. I come here at the request of my wife about 10 times a year. The quality of the food here has been less than satisfactory for roughly 50% of my visits. The decor matches that of a roadhouse... bad art on the wall mixed with various pictures and neon signs. The good thing about this place is that you don't have to eat or buy appetizers. Very disappointing......this place has REALLY gone down hill. I met a friend for lunch and they weren't busy, but I am thinking it's 2pm on a Wednesday so that was to be expected. Friend ordered Salmon and sides.....I had a baked potato and salad.....the meal didn't come out at the same time so my friend had to wait. The salad was ok....but the potato looked as tho it was about 2 months old! I started to eat the salad and waitress returned with the other meal....and I told her that the potato was nasty. Her response was "Yeah....I kinda thought that too"......WTF????? If you are a sever and know that the food is nasty...don't even bother to bring it out! Do you NOT want a tip???? She did offer to get me another one but I declined, after she said they are cooked in the morning and let them sit in foil (in the warmer) until served. I did tell her that I would probably order dessert but she didn't even bother to ask when she brought the bill (before we were finished) Friends Salmon was rubbery.....and had very little flavor. She was very hungry so she ate it. While it has been some time since I had been to this restaurant.....I was amazed how the service and food quality went down hill. I used to work on West Sag and had lunch there weekly. For the same price....you can go to Longhorn (across the street) and get a tasty lunch with great service. I won't return again. read more

Went there for dinner last evening and.. a couple shity thing and a few good.. first the shity.. roll had a hair on it.. showed waitress (amanda) and she said it was a hair from brush they used to spread something on top.. not buying that one. I use a brush often and never had one that dispensed human hair!! The 2nd shity thing.. our appetizer plates were dirty/had oil on them... Now the good.. food was good.. passed on the hairy rolls but had a brisket nachos were good and so we're our entrees. This place deserved negative stars. They told us a half hour wait, then told us after 45 mins it would be an hour. When they finally set us they said the kitchen was backed up (the reason for our wait). There were only 6 tables with people in the whole restaurant. They kept taking to go orders instead of servicing the people in the restaurant. Our waitress took 15 mins after we were seated to great us. She only had one other table when we sat down. We ordered as soon as she came. She never refilled kids water, our apps didn't come with the sides. She never brought my salad for my dinner or half of my daughters meal. My steak was cold. I asked her to remove the cost of my salad, and that didn't happen. My daughters food (what came) was burnt and greasy. The whole experience was terrible. We will never go back. I understand a staffing shortage, but as someone who has worked in restaurants, this place was beyond terrible. read more

Let's start with it took 32 min for our food to arrive. This wouldn't be an issue if they were busy but they weren't. I ordered a 6 oz sirloin med and what I got was about 4 oz of well done steak. My daughter got old Mac and cheese that was hard on the bottom and there was no sour cream on my baked potato. You might think I'm just being a bitch but I have liked Logan's in the past and this was the worst I have had in a while. I will not be going back. First of all, we were told we were going to have a 20-30 min wait....45 mins later, we were told they lost our spot in line......finally get seated and our server made us wait to order. She finally comes to get our orders and when we order garden salads, she tells us they have no salad. We accepted this and ordered something else. A few seconds later, another server comes out and served his tables salads. We call him over and ask if they have salad, they do. Our server was apparently too lazy to make us salads. So the other server got them for us. We waited for 15-20 mins for our drink refills......our food comes out. Everything is cold. Has been sitting in the window for god knows how long. (Ps, we ordered appetizers and they didn't come out until our food did and our 3re appetize didn't com out until after our food and she apparently forgot all about it. My burger was dry. No sauce on it at all. I got the fried cheese and bacon burger, the cheese is supposed to be HOT, it was ice cold. I asked for a well done burger, it was pink......I told the server she needed to do something about all this and she got a HUGE attitude and got all shitty in my face. My boyfriend and I went to Logan's for date night last week and had a decent experience. We didn't have to wait for a table, but we did get there a bit late (9pm). We were sat in the bar area, per our request, so we could watch sports. Our server was attentive and polite. We did have a mix up with my boyfriend's entree but it was quickly resolved. He had ordered a dish that had a picture on the menu but the name under the picture was not actually the meal in the picture. The server said that sometimes happens and quickly brought him the meal he thought he ordered. She let him keep his sides to eat while he waited for the correct protein to be served. The food was not bad but this wasn't our favorite steakhouse in the area. I would give them a 3.5 but I'm only allowed whole numbers! read more

Came here for lunch and ordered a steak. I was the only person sitting at the bar with the outer tables along the wall filled. I waited well over 20 minutes for the food to come out. The place was far from busy. When it did come out, there was the smallest portion of fries I've ever seen come with a meal. The fries were cold and the steak was luke-warm. I tried to bear through it and gave up. The steak was the most bland steak I've ever had here (or any other place that specializes in steaks). I couldn't add enough salt and pepper to put some flavor on it. The steak was ordered medium rare and came out rare. The bartender asked how things were and I told her the food was all cold. No apology or anything. Just asked if I wanted them to remake it (i.e. put it back on the grill). No thanks--I'll just take it home. Very poor customer service. Very poor quality of food this round. I only give this rating two stars because they usually have good food. read more

So my husband and I decided to go here for the first time for our Valentine's Day dinner. There was a wait, which was expected as it is a holiday. We were seated earlier than expected, but literally sat there for almost 20 minutes and not one person came to serve us. No water, no rolls, nothing. The place was busy, but not remarkably so and the place was starting to clear out. By the time our (first) server arrived we were hungry, thirsty and annoyed but as I used to wait tables I didn't judge too harshly. It happens. But after another 20 minutes, after having to flag down a busser to get rolls and water (!) another server brought our food and disappeared. Halfway through our food (which had clearly been sitting for a while) we were served the rolls and water which should have been there before we even ordered. I had to go find somebody in the kitchen to ask for the check. We were literally ignored the whole time we were there. We saw more bussers than wait staff and they were friendlier and more helpful than the 2 servers we had. I have never ever left no tip anywhere, but I did tonight. The food might have been good had it not been left sitting for who knows how long, but the service was downright ridiculous. Honestly, the bussers should get half of all tips because they were the only people we saw actually make an effort. Will not be going there again, ever, and will tell others to not even bother read more

I hate to do this but considering I eat in your place at least once a week. But last night you overcooked my dinner and then told me you were out of what I ordered. No biggie just switch to a steak. After about 20 minutes I asked where my steak was and was told there were a lot of tickets in front of mine. Now, how do new tickets get in front of a replacing a mistake. The place was about half full of customers. My wife and I walked in and stood in front of the host stand. Two employees talking to each other at the stand, but not to us. After 5 minutes I asked if we could get seated and the girl grabbed two menus (not saying anything, but we followed) she basically threw the menus on a booth and walked away. Anyway, after a long wait we ordered. When the meals got there they left the food but no silverware, took me awhile to get someone to bring some silverware to eat it with. Wife got chili which was not good. I got the chicken fried steak. When I poked the coating the whole coating just crumbled into little pieces so I know it was pre-frozen and really, really fried. Steak was tuff and chewy. We ate very little of the meals and the rolls and salad and left. Use to like this place but this is not the first bad experience here. We will not try again. read more

My husband and I went here a couple of months ago. We loved the peanut buckets. The food was excellent until I was eating my entree and a little green bug was crawling around under the edge of my salad bowl on the table. I showed it to the waiter who was close by. I put the bug in a napkin & gave it to him so that the kitchen staff could be aware of it since it must of crawled out of my salad bowl. The waiter acted like I had planted it. I can accept the slowly rising prices creeping up. And menus changing every couple months are understandable. However for a Roadhouse that proudly boasts about their steaks to be out of several different steak options, that is unacceptable. To make matters worse, one of them is their signature "Logan" sirloin. The steak named after the restaurant! It's not crazy busy, there's no reason they should be out of steaks. I had hand surgery Thursday, and after Christmas shopping, stumbled into Logan's at 4:30 PM with low blood sugar and an attitude to match. Seated immediately, my server popped up right away, helped me with my coat (my bandage was huge) and let me get settled in. After I placed my order, I realized I forgot to ask her to have the kitchen staff cut my steak for me. Well, it came out of the kitchen hot, juicy, and cut up into bite-sized pieces. She anticipated my needs and provided exemplary service. The food, as usual, was delicious. Absolutely no complaints about Logan's Roadhouse, it's my favorite steakhouse in Lansing. read more

We go here once in a while because the food is good and they have a two entree special. We hadn't been in a long time and went tonight. We sat at the bar which is usually fine but tonight there seemed to be a problem and the service was quite slow. My wife had the salmon which was pretty good. I had the grilled meatloaf which I've enjoyed in the past. Tonight it was way over salted and had a lot of pepper. Also they had the AC cranked and it was uncomfortably cold. Went to the hostess stand to speak to the manager, but was told that he was too busy cooking in the kitchen. They only charged me for the beer that I had, but it was a very disappointing experience. Good Cat Fish and great assortment of other items on the menu. My grand kids like this restaurant because they get to throw the peanut shucks on the floor. :-) Trouble is they get filled up on peanuts and don't finish their meals. Oh! well it's dogie bag time. I went back with my mom since we had a 3 dollar off coupon,I actually didn't know what I wanted to eat I kept staring over the menu,I went with the 2 full meals for 14.99 and the deal they had blew my mind the waitress was nice and gave us a couple minutes to decide it was a nice gesture,she got us some fresh rolls which were fresh hot and good. I decided to go with the B.b.q. Mesquite Cooked Pork Chop with 2 Caesar salads that were delicious the ingredients were crispy delicious the sauce was perfectly spread the cheese was good and the croutons were fresh good,crispy and crunchy,the pork chop was perfectly seared it was perfectly cooked on the inside it melted when I ate it,the fries were also excellent the 2nd meal I got was the Mesquite Grilled Salmon with sauce and fries,the Salmon blew my mind it was crispy it was excellent,perfectly seared and perfectly cooked I put my knife on it and it was so perfectly it literally fell apart as I cut it,the food I received was excellent! I was brought fresh drinks and asked if I needed anything else which was a very nice gesture and was even given 2 small things of butter because we had 1 more roll,that was nice, I liked that. went there with family durning lunch, and ordered the "FRIED CHEESE & BACON" burger (i didn't trust their fish or vegetarian options lol). unbeknownst to me the titular "fried cheese" was this weird fried patty thing on top the the burger that seemed like it was just pulled out a of microwave, super disgusting and almost made me lose my appetite. the rest of the burger was passable at best, super dry and no flavor. i hope i never have the displeasure of returning here again. read more
