Stopped in last night for dinner at 8:00 p.m.--- (A Monday night). The four of us were seated at a hightop table in the bar area. The table around the bar was full of folk having drinks and socializing. There were only two tables in addition to ours hoping for food. The waitress was super nice and took our order promptly and brought our appetizer in about 10 minutes. All was good. Then, 45 minutes later I finally asked the waitress why the food was not out yet and she said, "There was a mix up in the kitchen." Ten minutes later, I waived down the manager who had passed us a dozen times or so throughout the hour and I asked her when she thought we might get our food. She said she had no idea we had waited that long and she would find out what the problem was. She went to the kitchen and five minutes later came to the table and said she would take care of the appetizer and use "Creative accounting on the bill". Manchester was a halfway point for me and my SO for a number of years. We met one weekend and month or so and had a bit of routine in Manchester. Now, if you know Manchester, there isn't a lot to do, so we would hit up Logan's on a Friday night during happy hour and have Long Island's and happy hours nibbles. We always walked away feeling a bit tipsy and our bellies were full, and it was so cool that we could just walk to our hotel. The thing that I found about Logan's is that I likely would never go there if it weren't for the fact that the happy hour served our purpose. The staff was always hit or miss. There were times that we got a great server and other times that I wondered why I had to tip (but I always did because that's the right thing to do). This Logan's does as well as it does because of the happy hour and because there isn't much else nearby that can compete. Ordered To Go from Logan's in Manchester, Tennessee, this afternoon and it was a disaster! In the past the orders have been exactly what I ordered with nothing missing and everything tasting great! However, this afternoon I called and talked with an employee and placed my order over the phone. I wanted 2 orders. First, a 9 oz steak filet, baked potato,and asparagus. The second order a 6 oz steak filet, baked potato, and salad. I also ordered carrot cake. I told the girl I wanted both steaks medium well. She said, you do want those butterflied? I said no. She got a nasty tone in her voice and proceeded to tell me the steaks were really, really thick and would take a really long time to cook. I said, that's okay if it takes longer, but I don't want them butterflied. I arrived about 30 minutes after placing my order. I didn't expect the orders to be ready, and was just going to wait. I had been there maybe 5 minutes and the girl went to get the order. I told her I wanted to check over the order before she placed everything in the bag. So, she comes out with everything already in the bag. I told her I wanted to check the order. She got a bad look on her face and started placing each item on the counter in a forceful way. I specifically wanted to check the steaks. Both steaks were maybe 1/2 inch thick, and very, very well done. So they weren't thick at all and they certainly weren't medium well. Got home and got everything out to start eating. The steaks were extremely tough. Texture of the sole of a shoe! The asparagus was wrapped in tinfoil and it looked like slimy worms! It had been cooked to oblivion. The carrot cake was in a clear container, but then it was wrapped in some type of paper that only opened on one end. Ridiculous! So, when I took the cake out of the wrapper, most of the icing came off. The employee was very rude (you would have had to be there to hear her tone and see her facial expressions). Horrible! Got seated right away and wanted to order but of course the waitress wasn't ready. So we had to wait on her. Then our salads came out in good time and our food followed shortly behind but when I cut into my stake it was over cooked it had no pick center like I had asked for it (medium well) slightly pick. Then the waitress went out for a smoke break!!! While I was waiting on my food. Got my potato ate and my husband ate his sweet potatoes and then I waited probably 15 minutes hen it came out over done again!!!! So I booked it up and left. Ridiculous. We have recently lost of a friend named Logan and wanted to buy a t-shirt in memory. So we pulled of the highway and stopped in. Even though you don't sell shirts at that location Morgan made it happen. Also a big thanks goes to Liz as she listened to our initial request and took the time to see if anything can be done, she spoke to Morgan for us. Slowest Logan's ever! No one there to seat us for about 5 minutes. Filled up on peanuts waiting 15 to 20 minutes for the food. Place was more than half empty. We got there 10 minutes after 12, not like an odd time. Seems like no management today. read more

I work in the medical field and I work 15 to 18 hours per day. It is my birthday. I came to Manchester to antique shop and get away. At seating we stated with all due respect, please do not sit us with children as we want a quite peaceful meal. As you can guess the next table behind us was a child under 2. I sat through my dinner while the child hung over the booth, screamed, and kicked my back area. I understand children must be taught, but go to McDonald's while teaching them. We spent almost $100.00 for a dinner that was not that good and had to deal with an unacceptable situation which could have been avoided by sitting them elsewhere. And....let me say, they had plenty of staff and plenty of tables all over the restaurant they were sitting at. The meal...not that great. The atmosphere...terrible. overall... not a pleasant experience especially for a birthday. This experience was unacceptable. As we left the parking lot my friend said...look sir pizza,I bet we would have had a better meal there. I'm betting also!! How sad... read more

Logan's gets a downgrade from me, mostly because they eliminated my favorite entree from the menu (Goodbye Big Fat Greek Steak Sandwich) and I have been unable to find anything that suits as well. read more

Always good, sometimes a bit slow, but I'm sure they are giving the kitchen time to catch up during busy times. Always have had decent server. Good place to take your family, a bit noisy though. read more

I have eaten at this Logan's and have always had a good experience. This last Monday was an exception. I ordered the BBQ'd chicken and brisket. My wife and daughter ordered the fried shrimp (which was very good). However, my chicken came out so over-cooked it surprised me that both the cook and server allowed it to be brought to our table. From across the table, my wife saw that it was severely over-cooked. I understand that mistakes can occur, but that two employees allowed this chicken to be served shows me a lack of pride. The manager apologized and brought me a replacement in a 'to go' box. This piece was better than the first piece, but still on the over-cooked side. When I tried having this piece of chicken for lunch, I threw most of it away as it was too dry to eat. I would have really wanted the staff to take it upon themselves to tell me that the chicken was over cooked so I could have ordered something else. (Posting on my wife's account). read more

They will move tables for large groups!!!! They are fast friendly and helpful. I was with a large group that had been waiting over an hour for a table, called Logan's, was told I could be seated NOW. I asked for the table to be held, the first person who got there was able to walk in and be seated while waiting on the rest of us. The food was GREAT, our waitress, funny and very helpful and did a great job putting up with this large hangry bunch!!! I will go back!! read more

Every time we go here, there is an issue with one thing or another. Why do we go back? The steaks are usually what draws us in but everything else is just not worth it. Last night our appetizer and dinners seemed to take forever. When they did arrive something wasn't hot, a baked potato wasn't cooked all the way, the entree looked nothing like it did last time (chicken) and service was just off. Our waitress was basic level, with passer by service. If we didn't ask about where our food was due to the wait time in a not too busy place, don't know that she would have acknowledged it herself. She did tell the manager who came over and took some money off the bill..which was fine and appreciated. Manager seemed to think the issue was in the kitchen, but not sure of that based on our waitress not being very attentive and visible. This will be the last time. Don't go here!! I realize there are only 2 restaurants in the area....but please...don't waste your time. I frequent Manchester on business...I have been here three times hoping for better service each time. Every time the service was HORRIBLE! Waited on average 25 minutes to get a drink, then drinks go dry and, if you are lucky they may be back to get your order if you can find them to flag them down. Food I have gotten took forever and seemed to be sitting under the heat lamp for 15 minutes or so. Don't try and get a second drink, you will be done with your meal before you get it. Absolutely worst service of anywhere I have ever been. Will NEVER go back! I ordered a filet minion which was $20+ with side and salad. It looked like a utility grade sirloin from Wal-Mart. Heavy grained meat with little or no marbling. Absolutely no comparison with Long Horn's Flo's Filet in Murfreesboro, TN. The waitress said it had been butterflied. Why would you butterfly a filet unless it was poor quality beef? The waitress took it back and brought me a T-Bone which much to my dismay was not any better. The filet side of the T-bone was virtually none and the quality of the beef was very "utility". I won't be ordering another steak from Logan's in Manchester. Save your money and drive somewhere you can get a real steak. I will say if you are satisfied with the "run of the mill" steak you may not think it's that bad. But personally I have had better steak on a buffet. read more

Received a gift certificate to here so I took my wife here. Ordered the 8 ounce filet with a loaded potato and a house salad. The bread and salad were great and all was well until my steak came. It looked unlike any filet cut I'd ever seen. Cutting into I knew instantly it was not a filet and the first bite only confirmed it was a sirloin. Asked the waiter if it was a filet and he immediately apologized and said he would get one out right a way and brought a box so I could take the sirloin home. After a while a manager came out with the new steak and I could immediately tell it was undercooked. He asked me to cut it open and see if it was cooked right this time. It was barely seared and raw and even cold in the middle. I said it needed cooked more and that it wasn't a wellness issue with the first one but the wrong cut altogether. Waited what seemed forever and was going to tell the server when I saw him to just charge me for the sirloin so my wife and I could go when the manager brought it back out properly cooked to medium rare like I asked when I ordered. Long story short I got the wrong cut of meat, then a raw filet and 20 minutes after my wife had finished and we were ready to go I finally got my steak. Of course by then I had lost my appetite so I ate 2 bites and threw the rest in the box with the sirloin and paid my bill. The only reason this place got 2 stars instead of one was the manager had the good sense to comp my meal. read more

Well, where to begin. It was very a very busy night. We waited 45 minutes for a table which was pretty understandable all things considered. But it took an hour to get our food. Immediately upon getting our food we realized that they had brought us the wrong burgers. My kids were fine with the food that was brought because it was a little bit of an upgrade so we kept them. I had to send the fried shrimp back because it was supposed to be grilled. None of the food was hot just warm and the fries were stale. And to top it off they charged us for the burgers we got not what we ordered. Really???And they tried to overcharge us for a substituted side. You know that feeling when you go into a restaurant an hour before they close. The servers run off and don't make eye contact in fear you will sit in their section, then when you are sat you see several servers doing their closing work and then that one poor server wanders up to your table, out of breath, because they are a closer and just got 4 tables at the same few minutes. I have now been sitting in Logan's for 30 minutes and I have only received my soda. Finally at 32 minutes the manager brings out a curved up over cooked ribeye, ordered med rare came out med well. Manager asks do you want another one? I asked will it take another 30 minutes. The server apologized and was very honest. She said when food takes too long the cooks "bump" the check which makes it look like to the corporate office everything is great but she says when they do that the cooks " forget" about your order. The table next to me was in the process of walking out because their check was bumped also. I understand it was an hour before they close but the cut servers should not be sweeping up in front of the few of us left in the restaurant. No wonder this place has gone through bankruptcy. We might be getting g close to dinner it's been 46 minutes. Yup here it comes. First word out of the managers mouth, I'll have to buy you dessert for the little, she just moved her hands back and forth. I guess Sunday nights are not the shift for the A team in Manchester. We went Sunday at 3:00. This was after the lunch rush and the restaurant was not busy at all. We counted 16 employees and 23 patrons. The employees took up two of the three high-top tables in the bar area and were eating and congregating as if they were customers. The hostesses had to leave the bar area several times to greet customers who came inside and had to wait to be seated due to the employee gathering at the high-tops. With that being said, and nearly a one-to-one ratio of employees to customers, the wait for service and food was acceptable, but slow. When our food arrived, the potatoes were obviously microwaved and hard on the inside. Two of the four steaks we ordered were not cooked to order, but was remedied fairly quickly. We go to this particular Logan's frequently and I must say, the service and quality of food continues to go down hill. We will not be going back. With business as slow as it was and as many employees on duty, service should have been GREAT, not mediocre. The food isn't terrible, but it isn't great. There are better restaurants just as close that will probably appreciate our money. read more

My waitress was great; the food was ok; the manager in training was great; the store manager, Cindy on the other hand needs to go back to training or find a different line of work that doesn't include customer service. When I questioned the cut of meat I ordered (filet) vs. what I received (sirloin), the manager in training apologized and agreed to discount my meal accordingly. I agreed that I didn't mind eating what I received, I just didn't want to be charged for the higher cut of meat. 10-15 minutes later, after I felt the matter was settled and after I finished my meal, Cindy shows up to inform me that she spoke with her cook staff and they assured her that they sent me a filet and not a sirloin. She went on to say that if I still disagreed she would give me a $3 discount. The $3 was just a gesture to say we agree to disagree. I didn't argue and didn't decline her discount. She already knew that we had another filet order at the table and another sirloin order at the table. I know the difference. I didn't tell her that my brother-in-law used to cut meat for a living all through high school and college and he agreed that my cut was a sirloin and not a filet. I didn't point out to her that her cook staff has no incentive to provide her any other answer besides they sent out the correct cut of meat. It seems her only point in coming to our table was to tell me that I was wrong because the issue had already been resolved. Terrible customer service by this manager.
