I haven't been to Logan's in years and decided to stop by tonight for a quick meal. As I entered the parking lot I could see the place was packed...they must be doing something right. I was hoping I could actually get a seat at the bar. I walked in and saw the two young hostesses and told them I wanted to have some dinner at the bar. They said go right ahead. The bar was crowded but there were still some seats left. I took a seat at the far of the bar where I can watch the action and see the TVs. Most people at the bar were also having dinner, not just drinks and the dining room itself was pretty crowded. The barmaid/server came right over to me as soon as I sat down asked me if I needed a menu and what I was having to drink. I ordered a water and a Heineken zero and told her I already knew what I wanted. I ordered the chopped sirloin, smothered in onions and mushroom gravy with a side of green beans and a house salad with blue cheese dressing. She took the order and then came back quickly with a bottle of beer and a glass of water. Now Logan's is one of the few places that has the special wooden tray that they give you to eat at the bar as it evens out the rail with the top. She brought the tray and then within seconds my salad appeared and their special buttered roll. Salad was fresh with mostly Romaine lettuce, some chopped tomatoes, cucumber, shredded cheese and real blue cheese dressing with chunks of blue cheese crumbled inside. The salad was topped with little pieces of bacon. The roll came out hot and glistening as it seems they basted it with butter before serving it. They also give you two little cups of whipped butter on the side. I dug into the salad, which was excellent. It was very fresh and the blue cheese dressing was top-notch. I then looked at the buttered roll and decided I will take a bite(I've been watching my weight lately and have been trying to eat less carbs!). The role was still warm, however, it was very greasy and kind of bland and really didn't need any additional butter. It was decent, but nothing to write home about. Finishing my salad, I took a look around the bar. I noticed some very happy couples, dress casually and enjoying their meals. The TVs were turned to the Islander game, which was great as I am a New Yorker and went to college right next-door to the Nassau Coliseum during their hay day. Within a few minutes, the main course arrived and the barmaid placed the plate right in front of me, on that special leveling tray and asked if I needed anything else. I assured her everything was fine. The plate was full with a large portion of ground sirloin, smothered with onions and mushroom gravy and a side dish of green beans, plated right next to it. I tried the green beans first which were decent. I felt they were a little bland, but were cooked well. My attention then turn to the ground sirloin and boy was it good. Still warm and cooked medium with tasty sautéed onions and a real mushroom gravy containing large chunks of mushrooms covering the steak. I think I finish it in about 10 minutes. One thing to know is this place is very old school. The meal came with a plastic steak marker jammed into the ground sirloin stating it was medium and you are greeted by a case of refrigerated steaks as you walk in, so you can see the different cuts. It was like going to a place with my folks in the 1970's. I was half expecting to see big barrels of peanuts in the shell, which I believe they used to have there many years ago. Even though this place is a chain is still a great spot for a good, wholesome, hardy dinner. My meal was around $25 and worth every penny. It will definitely be part of my regular rotation going forward. It's a solid 4 star stop and you won't leave hungry. read more

Went here for dinner with our family. A most accommodating waitress, comfortable but a bit noisy atmosphere. Great menu. We ordered teriyaki steak, rib eye steak, , bowl of chili, salmon dinner, a everything salad and a kids menu, mac and cheese, fries, . Big fluffy amazing rolls brought to the table. All food was good except one steak really not cooked to order,.portion size good. Food plated nicely, came out hot, prices reasonable. We thought mac and cheese bland and overly soft otherwise all food tasty. Overall a nice dinner experience. read more

Hostess was friendly and waitress was nice. Donna had potato soup and half a club sandwich. Soup was brought out with no spoon, and it wasn't like warm. Had to get hostess to bring a spoon and return soup to be heated,. When soup returned it wouldn't melt cheese topping. I ordered the chopped sirloin with mushroom and onion gravy with brewski onions and French fries. No brewski onions. And heat lamp warmed fries. The salad was good and so was the chopped sirloin. We had a large party. We called ahead and when arrived were told the wait would be about 30mins. It was 65 minutes. It took WAY TOO LONG for our food -- over 90 minutes. Unacceptable in my opinion. The manager commented (as though this was reasonable) that there were people ahead of us. I'm thinking (but kept my mouth closed) that every customer has people there before them except the first one of the day. Then, the food came out wrong. My friends well done steak was almost rare, the other friends burger was well done although he ordered med-rare. Things were missed and drinks overlooked. We go here often for late lunch/early dinner when they are slower. Service has always been exceptional and doting. Dinner rolls are tasty. Salads are large and fresh. I always get the Ribeye, but their menu is vast and varied. Steak is always cooked to perfection and the prices are reasonable compared to the other chains. This is a Roadhouse/Steakhouse. It is sometimes busy, loud, and crowded, but not overbearing. Don't expect white tablecloths and a string quartet. Would 100% recommend this location for great food, cold frosty drinks, friendly staff, and a nice meal. They have plenty of Televisions for the Sports Games. read more

Hair in my food!!! I don't even know where to start. I ordered a 6oz sirloin, side salad, and broccoli. When I got my salad it had a hair in it but I just picked it out because I just thought maybe it was mine. Nope. When I got my sirloin and broccoli it had a hair just like my salad! My sister ordered a cheese burger with fries and only had about 10-12 fries if even that. I took our plates and showed one of the waitresses and she took them back. After that I just told them I don't want my food I lost my appetite. So If you like your food hairy eat here. read more

Has gone down couple of notches since the last time we've been here. All the really good waiters and waitresses have changed. Prices have gone up. Food quality has gone down. Waitress couldn't get herself out of a wet paper bag. Manager kept waiting to help us with our problems. She seemed overwhelmed. It was a Monday night. I will say this. The manager finally complimented me on my meal. But the waitress kind of killed the vibe right from the start. I mean she lied to us and told us they can't put pickles or onions on a salad. Steamed broccoli was not even steamed was crunchy and hard. Then they put my order wrong in the system. And my wife's steak tasted weird like it was. Nothing tasted fresh and good like it used to here. I ordered the teriyaki steak and it tasted like it had a salt box on it. I would not recommend going here anymore like I used to. Wife and I went to Logan's for the first time. We were pleasantly surprised. Steaks were inexpensive but well marbled and tender. Rolls and salad were very good and plentiful. Service was excellent. The food was horrible tonight. I got the half rack of ribs. Normally they bring you a half rack of ribs, but tonight they gave me what looked like two ribs from the ends of 3 racks of ribs. Very friendly staff and prompt service. But just god awful steak. I ordered the 6 oz filet and it was cooked as requested. Unfortunately it was as gamey and inexplicably chewy. Had lunch on New Year's Eve and everything was perfect. I believe our waiters name was Tim, and was fantastic. The burger had a great char flavor without being overwhelming. First time in a Logan's Roadhouse in years. Probably wasn't the first choice but it was the first restaurant with Dine In since the whole lockdown deal that we noticed so we flipped a u-turn and pulled in. The restaurant was set up for 50% capacity so diners were separated by two or three booths and tables. So excited to be sitting inside and not eating in a car and doubly excited to order my first draft Budweiser in as many months. Mmm....Mmm....good. Service got off to a sputtering start as workers did not come back to work or quit, we were told, but our server did a great job despite having to cover other jobs such as bussing and bartending. Started with the fried pickles and onion petals, both of which were good. Can't remember what our other two members of our party got but they were both satisfied. The wife ordered the grilled salmon and I had the Chipotle Chicken sandwich and we were satisfied, also. I'm sure once the shutdown is completely lifted and they're back to full capacity, everything will be running like a well oiled machine. The food was good, service was excellent. My only complaint is that while I ate at the bar they allowed an individual to vape while sitting at the bar. Although it is clearly a "no smoking" establishment. The food good had the potential to be great, but the smoke of the person vaping ruined my dining experience. I expect better. read more

Had a late dinner here, right before closing. Service level from Server was that as if She were ready to leave. We were seated by the bar. So the bartendar proceeded to wipe out stools slinging food particles, dragging stools across the concrete floors to sweep with no regards that we were right there eating. Went to Logan's tonight for dinner. Our waitress was Desiray and she was outstanding. My wife and I like to split our meals so we ordered the Logan medium rare with baked potato and salad. She brought me tea plates so we could split everything. We then got the Brownie with ice cream and it was also warm and delicious. The food was excellent and the service was outstanding. Desiray is so nice, accommodating and got our food out very quickly. If you are looking for a reasonable price steak with fixings this is very good and if you are lucky enough to get Desiray as your waitress you will feel exactly as we did. So... I was disappointed here. The staff were friendly and attentive but that was about it. The restaurant was sooooo dirty so dirty it was gross. There was garbage all over the floor, and in the kitchen floor. I got the Logan steak with mashed potatoes. Steak was ok very tough and the potatoes were not good either was the gravy. We came to Logan's after a 5-hour fishing trip today. We were greeted with a lovely hostess and Mickey waited on us. She was super friendly and took the time to chat with us. She was very attentive to our needs, polite, friendly, and a true representative of customer service at it's finest.
