I've been to 21 Main many times throughout the years and it has always been a top notch high end steakhouse with a superlative dining experience. My father, a friend and I went last night as our friend was leaving town the next day and we wanted to have a special send off. 21 Main did not disappoint. The experience begins as you pull up in the circular drive and are greeted my friendly and helpful valets. You then proceed to walk through the wooden doors to a modern and expensive steakhouse which also features excellent sushi. You were then seated at your reserve table, given menus and introduced to your waiter. The waiter we had last night Adam, I've had before and is excellent. We ordered drinks from the extensive cocktail and wine menu and then begin to peruse the menu. There were no specials this evening, which made ordering less tempting, but a bit easier. our drinks arrived, followed by hot fresh baked sourdough bread, and we begin ordering our appetizers in main course. We settled on the crab cocktail and the shrimp cocktail for appetizers. My father went with a lobster bisque and then we ordered our mains. I went for the 12 ounce prime fillet mignon with an au poivre sauce the side of sautéed mushrooms and cream spinach. My father not eating his hearty as he used to what for a portion of chicken tenders and some mashed potatoes while our friend went for their signature prime, 30 day aged, bone-in 20 ounce ribeye. Then we sat back they enjoyed the atmosphere. The tables were set up airy, yet formal with plenty of room. The middle of the restaurant is a sushi bar area and behind that is the regular bar. Both modern yeah tastefully done. After some small talk, our appetizers came out and my father's lobster bisque soup. The lump crab meat was fresh and flavorful of serve with a nice Housemade cocktail sauce. The same goes for the shrimp cocktail, which were fairly large, serve with a wedge of lemon and two choices of sauces. I went for the traditional cocktail sauce, which was excellent. My father loved his lobster bisque, flavorful creamy and texture correctly. He finished the entire bowl. Our waiter now prepped for the main courses by removing all used plates and utensils from the table. He then brushed the table for crumbs to make sure the canvas was completely clean before the main event. Then the food was presented to the table by the food runners and the waiter , all done in an unobtrusive way. They use a cart to wheel out the food, which is very smart and then, of course it's used for presentation for certain dishes like the bone in rib-eye. Our waiter prepped the steak by removing the bone and slicing up the meat before putting it on the plate for presentation. It is something that is often missed in today's world, but adds a very nice touch. The steaks were excellent, flavorful, juicy, seasoned perfectly and incredibly tender. They were cooked perfectly as ordered. The sides were fantastic. The Yukon gold mashed potatoes were creamy, the sautéed mushrooms were delicate but packed a lot of flavor and the spinach had a perfect amount of cheese and lots of Smokey taste from the bacon. Did I mention everything is made from scratch! After a meal like that, I was stuffed but my father saved room for his favorite part of the meal...dessert. He went with the chocolate sauce covered brownie and homemade ice cream combo. It must have not been a mistake as he ate the entire thing. You could see the chunks of candied pecans, and fresh strawberries on top of the brownie with homemade vanilla bean ice cream next to it. I did not even have a chance to put a spoon in there! We then ordered the check, which was not cheap but worth every penny. It will continue to be one of my "go to's" especially for special occasions. read more

Lets talk about the bad or not so good dishes first: You can skip the oysters. They are pretty small. Tuna tower is also not so good. The tuna is not fresh at all and quite chewy. We did not care much for the crunch roll. It is not that bad but for the price we expected better. Now into the good stuff. Seared wagnu is the best we ever had. The inside is not overcooked so you can still taste the freshness of the meat. Both filet and ribeye are cooked perfectly the way we want it. While the outside is crunchy, the inside is still pinky and juicy. The ribeye has more fat than we want but still it is both soft and crunchy at the same time. The drinks are also good. Sake tini is my favorite. Both dessert are excellent. Tiramisu and brulee are mouthwatering tasty. One thing I hate was that they charged us for the steak sauce. I wanted to try different steak sauces and did not know they charged us for each. Hate any places that charge for sauces and that is why 3 stars read more

We've eaten here many times, and they consistently deliver an exceptional dining experience. Our server, Tara, was particularly noteworthy for her exceptional knowledge, professionalism, and affable demeanor. These qualities set a high standard for the overall dining experience. While the pricing at 21 Main may be comparable to that of a fine dining restaurant in New York City, it is important to consider that it is one of the few establishments in Myrtle Beach that offers such an experience. This distinction helps to mitigate the high cost. We began our meal with a shared tuna tower, which was of excellent quality. It was evident that the fish used was sushi grade, fresh, and delectable. We also shared a side of broccolini, which was enjoyable but not exceptional. I opted for the Chilean sea bass, which is consistently excellent. Although I am not a fan of Beurre blanc, I was offered compounded garlic butter as an alternative. However, upon reviewing the bill, we discovered an unexpected upcharge. In my opinion, 21 Main should reconsider this practice, especially considering that the ingredients are not significantly different. My husband had the NY strip steak, which was satisfactory, but it was not served at the requested medium-rare temperature. Instead, it was closer to medium. A steakhouse, particularly of this caliber, should not make such an error. The meal concluded with an espresso, which was excellent and served piping hot. Despite the occasional shortcomings, 21 Main remains a favorite dining destination. I hope that the owners will take the time to read this review and consider the feedback provided. read more

Dinner for 8 tonight. Arrived 10 min early and waited 25 min to get seated. No type of service to accomodate. Free drinks, coffee or dessert? Got seated and it took 20 min for the waiter to take our order. Ordered 2 tomahawk ribeyes, 2 bone in ribeyes and 1 strip steak, 2 wedge salads, 2 asparagus, 2 creamed spinach, 2 mashed potatoes, mushroom risotto and a baked potato. ALL the steaks and sides except the salad, asparagus and baked potato were way too salty. Inedible salty. Very disappointing. We came two years ago and had a great dinner but today was unacceptable. My only issue and it really isn't a deal breaker but when the moment is special I feel as if 21 Main should do more to be aware of the reason for your visit . I noted that I was celebrating my wife's birthday and expected a note on the table for her and possibly a dessert on the house and that was not Presented . Although when I made my arrangements on open table I was asked what was my reason for coming, I stated to celebrate my wife's Birthday . I will say the waitress made things pleasant and the dessert I order for myself she placed a candle in it for my wife and the chef inscribed Happy Birthday on the plate . Went here for the 1st time on Wednesday January 14th 2026 to celebrate a birthday. Now before I start, we have never been to a restaurant like this, and it was quite fancy. Note also that this review is about 4-5 Stars. Anyways, we got there- and we chose to vallet our car since it is complentary to our visit. We were greeted by 2 smiling hosts that welcomed us in, and were very friendly. My mom had made the reservation online for 13 people. the host informed us that the table was in fact ready, and we could sit down if we wanted to- but since we were the first ones there, we decided to sit by the bar to have a few drinks while we waited. The bar is located behind the waterfall. Now i actually didn't have any drinks as I just had water. My parents had drinks though- and they were good. Oh, and if one orders a vodka with sprite- and it taste like club soda, let the bartender know- the soda gun might have ran out and have to be changed. Once changed it was so much better! Bartender was pleasant too. Once everyone arrived, we brought our drinks back to the table and sat down. For our large party, there was 2 waitresses taking care of us- both were friendly. Here lies the 4 stars, I took my water that I was drinking from the bar, and it was in the bar glass, and the waitress older one asked me if it was water that I was drinking.- seemed to be rude about it too, or I took it rudely-- If it was me I would have asked for an ID to be shown. Because I look young, but am actually 30. It was indeed water though, as I was drinking water the whole time. Anyways, beside that all was good. We were given a few to look over the menu and they also announced the specials. Also, not sure if it is still going on, but they did also have restaurant week specials that came with an appetizer such as fried calamari, select entree courses like steak and catch of the day, soup or salad, and special sizes like mac and cheese, asparagus, and more! and an dessert.The sides say that it can server 2-3 people, but most of it seemed like personal sides portions. Lots of people in my party got the restaurant week special. As for their regular menu, of course they have steak, and they even have sushi! For entree, I got some specialty roll with tuna and it was very enjoyable! Food came out in a timely manner. Waitresses constantly checked on us, and made sure our waters were refilled. I also tried some of my mom's mac and cheese, asparagus, and the fried calamari, of all which was very good. even tried her steak which was cooked to perfection and tender! Even the bread served was good and enjoyable. I think trying the sushi was the best part! Oh and for dessert there was cheesecake and creme brelee. Surprised that there was no chocolate options. Some people do prefer chocolate items- just saying. Also i tried my mom's cheesecake, and didn't like it. This is a more upscale restaurant and can be pricey. our friend paid the bill so not entirely sure how expensive this trip was for all. However I know my sushi was $25.00. Enjoyed the steak, sushi and sides though, and good food. If invited would come here again, but on my own, probably not. Recommend at least trying this place though! read more

What a great place! I've eaten at steakhouses all over the world. This place is a gem in MB. Not cheap, but worth every dollar. We started with the Caesar and Wedge salads. Excellent. Our dinner entrees included 2 8 oz filets and 2 ribeyes. One was the dry aged bone in. Excellent. The second was the Demkota Ranch Prime Ribeye. Outstanding. The Demkota is a must! Sides were mashed potatoes, Mac and cheese and asparagus. The Mac and cheese is a must. Desert included the Turtle Cheesecake and the Bread Pudding. Very good. Mike was an outstanding server. They also allow you to bring your own bottle of wine in for a $30 corkage fee. We did. Their wine list looked great though, but pricey which is expected. We'll definitely be back. read more

Took my in-laws here on our Myrtle Beach Vacay. Customary for my fam is dine at a local $$$$+ or close restaurant which this is close of not $$$$ on Yelp. Anyway, very nice place and great experience. We were concerned w dress code bc in-laws dressed weather appropriate and we had so much fun at the Grand Priz track that we didn't have time to prepare for this place. Yeah But people where street casual to biz casual or in my father-in-laws case jersey shorts and sleeveless tee! lol. Wife and mother-in-law had the bone-in ribeye and I the Delmonico steak. Both were cooked to perfection and lots of flavor. Father in-law had the pork chops and he loved it. One thing I liked that I don't see often is they had a la cart sides some w individual servings and sharable; most places I've been are either or. My boys chose something simple and ate it all and ordered cheesecake to go. I didn't get a chance to sample that for you all but they ate it for breakfast the next day and suffice it to say no one but them knew how it tasted. The server was down to earth, responsive and proactive. The busboys were on point and just all around great service. And the Bathroom was clean! How can you not?! This place has such a good vibe and the food is outstanding! Hubby enjoyed the Fish Whistle cocktail and I enjoyed one of the best Paloma's in town. Started with oysters Rockefeller (so good ) French onion soup and salad next. Then on to dinner! Steaks are cooked with a light sear and temp to perfection! Beautiful Friday night sat outside on the upper deck. Our waiter, AJ was fantastic! Personable, friendly yet very professional! Answered all our food questions with knowledge and patience! He suggested the amazing pork chop for dinner and it was absolutely perfect- moist, flavorful and huge!! I ordered the Delmonico steak medium rare and it was cooked to perfection! AJ also recommended the Mushroom Risotto which did not disappoint and also the creamed spinach. The sides were huge and we had enough for 2 nights of leftovers! Went on a Friday night, and the place was buzzing. Tons of big groups, which made it feel lively and fun. Definitely more kid-friendly than New York Prime. If you're thinking about going, make sure to get a reservation--it was packed. Started with a Lavender Lemon Drop at the bar. For the price, I was expecting a fancy cocktail. They delivered with a flower on top. We had a group of 10 and got seated upstairs in the private dining room, which was nice and quiet. Our server was friendly, explained the specials really well, and made sure everything ran smoothly. We ordered a bottle of Monsanto Chianti Classico 2019, one of the more affordable options on the menu. Honestly, it was a solid pick--good flavor and great value for the price. They didn't make a fuss about chopping the BLT wedge salad in the back. (Last time I came, the server acted like it was a big deal. This time? No issues at all, thankfully.) The BLT Wedge comes with thousand island which I thought was strange. Roasted Chicken - It had good flavor, but the pan au jus was kind of weird and thicker than I expected. Filet Mignon- Tried a bite, and it was perfectly cooked--textbook medium with a great sear on the outside. Mac and Cheese- I thought kids' mac and cheese was better than the side version. Bigger portion and better flavor, too. All in all, 21 Main is a solid spot, especially if you're with family. The vibe is fun, the service is great, and most of the food hits the mark. I was excited to try this as I'm a big foodie and love steakhouses. This one has a twist, steak and sushi. The ambience was beautiful. The service was attentive and friendly. We started with Lobster ravioli, even though it should be called lobster raviolo as that is the singular version. It was fresh and quite tasty, however the lobster filling was a touch lackluster. The sauce carried it and the pasta was perfect. The oysters were unfortunately a big disappointment. Both myself and my guest kept trying them, to see if one tasted better than the other, we ended up leaving 4 on the plate as they just weren't that great. My guest ordered a couple of sushi rolls at the recommendation of the server stating they were the best around. Sadly, they were just basic. I had the dry aged bone in rib eye. It was cooked absolutely perfectly. A beautiful rare. A touch of pepper, smoked salt and butter that I had added left from our bread really elevated it. The Mac and cheese side was also delicious, creamy, flavorful. Great dish. We each chose a dessert the crème brûlée and the bread pudding. Ironically each our absolute favorites. I'm sad to say it was very disappointing. The crème brûlée had perfect consistency. Yet lacked flavor, the vanilla bean was barely there. Had a bachelor party dinner here a week ago. Got a little bit of everything they offered; apps, soups, salads, steak, seafood, sushi, dessert and drinks. Nothing was disappointing. The service was amazing. Our waitresses rolled with all the punches, catered to all our extra asks and even added a little spiciness. Everyone had there own opinion of what stood out the most. My family visited this spot on a Sunday evening we had reservations which I would recommend because the place looked pretty busy. Everything we had was pretty good but be willing to spend some money. We started off with calamari, oysters Rockefeller, Nueskes bacon, and a lobster bisque. I wasn't able to get a picture of the bacon but it was delicious. If you see Nueskes bacon anywhere get it. Calamari and oysters were both top notch. The bisque wash rich and had a nice tomato flavor to it which got better with every bite. For dinner I chose the sea bass which was cooked perfectly. The dish came with a mixture of sauce and accompaniments which sounded strange at first but they worked well. The other entrees for the table were ribeye steak, the scallops, and a variety of sushi. We also got spinach, mushrooms, lobster mac, and tater tots. The steaks were seared nicely and the all the sides were good. I didn't try the sushi but the spicy crunch roll was a favorite and the mushrooms had a nice kick to them. This meal was a a perfect way to start a week by the beach! read more

Amazing from start to finish! We had another steakhouse booked for my father's 70th birthday. After a bad experience we left before dining and 21 Main was so gracious to accommodate our party of 5 even though the restaurant was packed! The hostesses were so welcoming and empathetic to our situation. Our server (Mary Catherine I believe) was the absolute best! She was attentive, our drinks were never empty & she answered questions and offered suggestions on the menu. Our drinks were delicious, I highly recommend the pineapple mule. All of the steaks were prepared perfectly and the sushi was some of the best we've ever had! I honestly don't think you could go wrong with anything on the menu. It started out disastrously. We wanted to sit outside (because of covid) but I guess maybe it was an unusual request (even though it was a warm night and they have a large, covered outside area). In any case, they sat us outside and then totally forgot about us for the next 10 minutes. I had to go inside and remind the host that we were outside. We almost left actually... But glad we didn't, because when they did finally serve us- man we're talking about serious steak. Pretty much everything we ate we really enjoyed. And the service jumped 1000% after the initial incident. Not even a wedding party of pot smoking a**holes in the event space next door could dampen our steak high... The server was attentive and kind, especially given that it was a holiday. We had an excellent experience! The menu is large enough for everyone to be happy but small enough that you know everything will be good. AJ was our server and he was fantastic! He offered suggestions and made sure we were happy the whole time we were there. We started with the Crunch Roll, then shared the Pork Chop. It was EXCELLENT. I got the Lobster Mac & Cheese as my side and my hubby got the Creamed Spinach with Pancetta. We shared the Chocolate Peanut Butter Bread Pudding for dessert and ate more than we probably should have, but everything was so good. There's valet parking available, which was nice.
