They were all within our specifications and our price range, but we still wanted to see what else was available.Frank kept in contact with us, even as we looked at different apartments, but he promised us that the apartments he showed us were about as good as we would find in the area. After a whole bunch of failed apartment viewings, we realized he was right. When we decided to make a move on the apartment, Frank walked us step by step through the application and lease signing . He and another broker Ava were able to work with our guarantors to relieve them of any concerns and to speed up the process. They responded quickly and professionally to all of the questions and problems that we had. Even after the lease signing they helped us work out an issue with the building, which was well outside of their responsibilities as our brokers. My first time speaking to frank was the Friday straight after thanksgiving. Myself and a few friends had moved from Ireland the week before and we were finding it increasing difficult to find a place to live. I had called numerous realtors that day and nobody picked up the call.However when I rang Frank he offered to show us the apt straight away even though he had plans to spend the day with his wife and kids. What I liked most about frank was the fact he was a straight shooter. Prior to meeting Frank we had met 3/4 realtors and signed numerous forms before even looking at an apartment. Frank was great to work with. Helped me find my new place in East Village, negotiated the monthly rent down a couple hundred to get within my budget, got me a free month of rent, worked quickly to get the application process moving, and stopped showing the place to other prospects when the lease agreement was pending. He's also a great resource for someone new to the city...I still bug him with questions. This paragraph should really be a 2nd review but Yelp won't allow more than one. Four months later I had to move out on short notice and was really stressing about finding someone to fill the apt because I was responsible for a paying a 1 year lease until a new lease was signed. While some brokers would just immediately tell us that it is difficult to find an apartment fitting our criteria within our budget, Frank understood that my roommates and I are college students and treated us with respect. He seemed genuinely devoted to helping us find a quality apartment in our preferred neighborhood and within our budget. I worked with Frank on looking for a new apartment in Alphabet city. Most brokers show you many apartments but few are any good. Frank only showed me two apartments though they were both amazing. The first one I unfortunately missed out on but Frank followed up a day later with another one. I was skeptical the second one would be any good as the one I missed out on was amazing. The second did turn out to be great and came with my own private backyard. Overall Frank is a good guy and doesn't push you around, he's pretty straight up with his word and what he is going to show you. He helped us find a terrific apartment in the East VIllage and was excellent. One warning, though- be sure the apartment he shows you is NOT primarily listed or in any way associated with the Metropolitan Property Group, which is a very crooked establishment. If they are the listing agent, you will have to deal with them and you won't be happy. read more
