Luck of the draw depending on which broker you are assigned. I would recommend steering clear of Jordan. We planned a day-long trip to the city to view apartments with Jordan and after communicating for nearly 2 months, we were only shown 2 apartments. His service was extremely unprofessional. We were taken to an apartment complex that Jordan failed to schedule a tour, and therefore were not allowed past the lobby. Jordan was not attentive to our criteria for viewing apartments and followed his pre-scheduled agenda for the day, despite any preferences. Our criteria was very simple for our apartment, we only asked to view apartments south of 30th street. Our day consisted of viewing 2 apartments (one on 60th and one on 34th). I would recommend saving your time (and money if you are planning a trip to the city) if you are assigned Jordan. read more

Realtors from this team respond quickly. Unfortunately, their listings do not match the address that the apartment photos suggest they're in, and the day before the apartment showing, your contact from Manhattan Realty Group will let you know that "they've just received an application on the apartment you wanted to see, but we have a sister building that is only a little over your budget, but worth seeing." This has happened twice with two different realtors from this organization, one with an apartment in the Upper West Side and another in the Upper East Side. We have a budget that we need to stay strict with (as a lot of people do during pandemic), and these tactics are very off-putting. There's no way I could recommend MHR to anyone after my terrible experience with Jordan Charles. My roommates and I reached out to Jordan months prior to touring apartments in Manhattan. We only gave him 2 items for our criteria: 1) net effective rent no more than 7k 2) south of 30th street. We then traveled across multiple states to view apartments with him. He only showed us 2 apartments. Neither of which met our criteria. Actually, he attempted to show as a 3rd apartment (2 bedroom for myself and 3 other roommates), but due to his lack of planning we were unable to even view the unit. Funny enough, we were able to set up 3 apartment viewings ourselves THAT DAY through street easy, without Jordan. It's hard for me to fathom how unprofessional and non value add Jordan was. I'm pretty sure anyone who knows how to use the internet and is no lower than 4 standard deviations below the IQ bell curve could do a better job. Save your time and money and avoid MHR, and Jordan specifically at all costs. read more

We responded and we got a response multiple days later asking us what we were looking for. We replied and never heard back (even after following up again). Do not use this realty group. Fahd showed us an apartment on behalf of Ronald. At first, we thought it was the perfect apartment. However, as we sat with the lease in front of the management company, we found out that Fahd completely lied to us about the apartment. Either he was misinformed or purposely misled us so we would sign the lease. Because of this, we are paying hundreds more and feel uncomfortable in our apartment because of situations that he told us would be accommodated for. Both Fahd and Ronald were not upfront, and we feel that they purposely took advantage of us. read more

When I arranged to meet Andre - the day after I contacted him - he asked if I was interested in looking at other apartments in the area, to which I agreed. Two hours and 5 apartments after I met Andre, I decided on an apartment and within 24 hrs I submitted my application which was accepted. I've had the displeasure of dealing with Jason Polanco - never have I had a real estate professional talk down to me, lack professionalism, dictate to me what is and isn't "a lot of money", and give me an ultimatum to tell him if I don't want the apartment because there are so many others in line. If you want your realty group to stand out or even leave a good impression on one person, re-educate your staff on what it means to talk to a human being and understand the behavior of customer service. Joshua Rodriguez is hands down THE BEST broker in the city. Here is the reason why: 1. He is on your side, fighting together with you to get that dream apartment with the best price. This is important and it actually makes a difference. I negotiated with landlord for a lower rent, Joshua helped me out finding ways to cut the price lower. 2. He listens carefully to the client, carefully select all the apartments meet the requirements, and knows how to plan the route smartly. He is a very patient and easy going person. I was tired of speaking to snobbish brokers in the city, or those who promised to call back but never did. She knows what's up, gets results, and will go to crazy extents--at personal inconvenience--to make sure that you get the apartment that you want. Jamie spent the morning driving from borough to borough to make sure that my lease was delivered to the management company in time for my move-in date. She spent the previous two days pressuring the owner and management company to make sure that we had what we needed. That sort of follow-through is insane. She is responsive and diligent in the extreme. I cannot say enough about the work she did. We definitely wouldn't be moving in on our preferred date without her, and I don't even know if we would have an apartment. You'll be in the best hands with Jamie. read more

Zary is THE BEST broker. This was my first experience with apartment hunting in the city and Zary made the process a breeze.
