I initially brought my car in a little over a year ago for an issue that took awhile to get "fixed". My car kept leaking water under the glovebox on the passenger floorboard. I was told I needed an AC ventilation service. Less than a month later, the leak started again. I was then told they misdiagnosed my issue, and I actually needed an evaporator cleaning and a part replaced. They discounted $40 off my service for the misdiagnosis, even though I paid $209.90 for the service I didn't even need. When I got my car back, the rubber part that runs along the driver and passenger windows was not put back correctly. Further, while I was in the middle of driving, the plastic piece that runs along the side of my windshield popped out and was hanging in front of my face. I took my car back and they fixed the plastic piece and popped one part of the rubber lining in. I was told they couldn't get the other piece in, and if I wanted it fixed, the part would be $350. A day or two after this, my car started leaking antifreeze and overheating. My car was towed to Kia and I was informed that some hoses were left loose, which caused the leak and overheating of my car. July of this year, my passenger side started leaking AGAIN. I took it to Kia since it was under warranty, and had an oil change done. They told me that they one of the AC hoses was corroded and needed to be replaced, but they needed to order the part. So I leave and about twenty minutes after having my oil change, my check engine light comes on. I call and they say I can bring it up to get checked. They tell me it's a "history code," and it might be because my oil was low, but nothing to worry about. About a week later, I take my car back to have the hose installed. The day after getting my car back, I notice there are huge cracks all over my dashboard. There were no cracks prior. I call and speak with a service advisor about the issue, who tells me they don't even touch the dashboard to get to the parts that need repairs. I know this is 100% a lie due to the time prior where they didn't put my car together right, and some of those parts stem from under the dash cover. I take my car back to Kia, and the service department managers, Wade and Keith, look at my dashboard. They tell me it looks like it could be sun damage, but they don't usually see that kind of damage on Sorentos. I explained that it was not like that prior to them working on my car. They informed me that they would take pictures and send them to the district manager Rich to see if they would cover the damage. I didn't hear anything for about three and a half weeks, so I started calling for an update. Over the next five weeks, I called about once a week and spoke with Wade for an update. Every single time, I got the run around. "I gotta talk with Keith and get back with you;" "They always transfer you to my cell, I've got to get back to you when I'm at my desk;" "Same answer as before, I've got to look into it and call you back." I never once got a call back, so I eventually called Kia Corporate. They also had trouble speaking with somone at the dealership regarding the issue, and after more than a month and a half of Kia Corporate trying to get an answer from the dealership, I was finally told they spoke with the dealership and were told that the cracks are from sun damage and they will not be fixing my dash. I understood from the get go that proving to the dealership that the damage was from them would be difficult and they might not agree to fix it, but why make a customer go through all this difficulty to just get a "No?" It is very frustrating to try to get this figured out over months when they could have just told me no the day they looked at my dash. Also, I ended up taking my car elsewhere to have the check engine light checked, and I had a gasket that was leaking oil. They neglected to tell me that, and just led me to believe my check engine light was on from my oil being low. Dave Woodman is an honest and informative service advisor, but I trust no one else at Lokey Kia, and their customer service is the worst I've ever dealt with! I wanted to purchase a Telluride, but will never due to the Kia service department alone. read more

I was rear ended by one of their loner cars. They agreed to fix the damage since it was minor. I made the appointment and took my car in. They gave me a loner car since it was to take 3 days. My car was due back on Thursday. On Friday I called to find out what was going on with my car. They said it would be ready by the end of the day. They actually did do a good job. They did however cause more damage while they had my car. I picked it up as they were closing on Friday evening. I get out onto us19 and get off at 580. We didn't make it 5 miles before we had to stop to put air in both front tires. We then drive to get dinner. We had inflated the tires to 38. We were in dinner about an hour. We came out to find the drivers front tire was already down to 22. We had to call for roadside assistance. I also called lokey to let them know. The girl, Naomi that I spoke to was very rude. I ended up leaving messages for 2 different managers. It's been over a week. They will not return calls. I had to have both front tires patched. I also have a small chip in my windshield & a small scratch on the back drivers side of my car. My car had just been in for service (oil change & cabin filter change) at my dealership so they have a record of the entire vehicle. The only damage that was on my vehicle when I dropped it off at lokey was the rear bumper & bumper skirting. They did repair that but have refused to respond concerning the other damage they caused while my vehicle was in their possession. read more

Spent two trips at Lokey. Arrive first night to look at Telluride model I had requested only to find out that the sales manger drove it home. Not the end of the world if they call and tell you before I drove 45 minutes after work. Second trip decide to move forward with an alternate Telluride. Give deposit on vehicle salesman calls me today to let me know the car was already sold. No doubt poor controls and leadership in place at Lokey. Blame poor management who were too much of a coward that they had the nice salesman take the fall for their incompetence. Unfortunately perpetuates the stereotype of Management hiding their shortcomings to protect their own self interest. They need to read the book "Customer for Life" by one of the most successful dealerships in the US by Carl Sewell. First time I have interacted with KIA and this organization and it looks like I will be going else where. Thank You Lokey for being the Grinch that sole my daughters Christmas present. We bought a car here this weekend and the service was excellent. JB helped us and showed us exactly what we wanted. He didn't waste any time or push anything on us that they knew we wouldn't want. He was so positive and friendly. He helped find us our perfect car that we love! Pernell also helped us in the managing department. He really worked to make us happy and leave us smiling. Well lets just say these people are not the "honest" people. I had a 2011 Kia Soul that someone backed into in an apartment complex. Car started and drove to Lokey Kia. After a couple of weeks Tim called and asked if I had a problem starting the car. I stated no. 2 weeks later Tim called and said there was water in the oil. Again, I question how this was possible from a minor accident in an apartment complex. 7 weeks later, $7800, a "new" engine, and I'm still waiting for them to install a new windshield??? Why you ask?? Not sure. Funny, the windshield did have 2 chips on the left side but now has a 18 inch break on the right. Lokey Kia after 3 days has REFUSED to replace the windshield. The service guy "Tim" called me when I was out of town and said in his nicest voice, "I noticed that your windshield had a chip in it, if you call ALLSTATE I can have it replaced for you". I told him I would handle it when I returned. I picked up my Kia and noticed an 18 inch break. They insisted they didn't do it but I find it funny how they tried to hide the fact the damaged it and tried to make an insurance company responsible for their mistake. I think they have a term for that its called INSURACE FRAUD!! ALLSTATE won't fix it because it was not damage before the dealership, (they have pictures of the car on Lokey lot showing there was no damage to the windshield). Tim at Lokey said they will not fix it. I'm currently waiting on a manager to return my call. It's upsetting to me to think, I have purchased 4 cars from them in the past 3 years and they have lost a customer over a $150 windshield. I will keep you updated as things progress read more

I think I'm officially done with bringing my car here for servicing. I had a 1:45 appointment for an oil change and a tire rotation. I got there about 1:30, just because I had to be at work soon and was hoping they could possibly start early. After reading all the magazines and newspapers in the waiting room and watching whatever horrible tv show was on (some ripoff of The View called The Real), I stood up and noticed that my car was still sitting in the service bay....almost an hour later! I understand that they get busy and sometimes there's a backup, but no one said anything to me when I arrived and when I went to get my keys and explain that I couldn't wait anymore, the service tech responded with "sorry, keys are in it" and went back to typing. For a company that prides itself on customer service and wants 5 stars on the surveys, today was not a 5-star day. read more

This dealer has horrible service! They require at least a week in advance for a service (simple oil change), but yet still had almost a two hour wait for the car. The waiting area is horrible, and they even have the nerve to come in while people are waiting to try and talk them into trading in for something else. I sat there and saw a sales man trying to convince a lady to trade in her 6 month old vehicle. Aside from the lack of simple items like working WiFi, hot coffee and not blaring music so loud its all you can hear this dealer fails in service, non aggressive atmosphere and quick service, they are lucky people can't give a zero star rating... read more

Brought the car in for a 'free' oil change. My son picked it up and the next day noticed the oil light was on He opened the hood and saw the whole engine compartment was covered with oil . He called Lokey Kia at 1:00 pm and they said they would have a truck tow the car to the dealership. Then my son looked again at the engine and noticed the oil filler cap was on the radiator mount, obviously they never replaced it after changing the oil. After waiting a couple hours he called Lokey again and was told to wait. The tow truck finally arrived at noon the next day !! Lokey service somehow changed their screw-up into HIS problem So the finally got the car and said 'It won't be ready till tomorrow' This is even though THEY KNEW it was their error, the service rep even mentioned how the tech was in trouble !! So my son was left without a car for two days Lokey service somehow changed their screw-up into HIS problem Two times after that I have spoken to someone at the dealership (after subsequent oil changes, they are free and I considered this a one-off error) and each tiome I asked to speak to the service manager. First time, I was transferred to his voice mail left a message , never heard back Second time , I was called by someone asking me how the oil change was , I told them the story and they said they would have the service manager call me Never heard back -- seems like their standard procedure What gets me I would bet if I brought the car in as a trade-in, they would probably say 'oh we cant give you the full amount, there was engine damage when it was run with no oil' read more

They then gave us a quote on a car then raised the price 4K to give us a so called better price on our trade. NEVER go to this dealer. They wanted to give us 10k for our trade in. CARMAX gave us $14. This is my second visit to the service department. The first time they scheduled my warranty repair the call center service scheduled me at 2pm when I got there they said they will have to keep it until monday. This is my only family car. They gave me some lame apology while blaming their third party call center service. This time I called the service department directly and scheduled the appointment and she made it for 130pm on 7/13. I asked directly if they can get it done and have it back to me at end of business and she clearly said yes. I come to drop the car off at 1230pm and the gentlemen tells me sorry not going to get it done. Lame apology again. Don't buy your car here don't service your car here. I bought 2 cars from them. The sales rep. promised me a roof rack at cost. Never kept his word. Couldn't ever get him back on the phone and when I finally did he played dumb. No integrity. Who cares already closed the deal and got his commission. Service is worse. It's not like I rearrange my entire weekend and cancel plans with the family so I can get my family car fixed under the expensive warranty they got me to pay for but never provide the work they schedule. read more

I brought my KIA in for a power steering fluid leak. It was Sept. 6th and I had called a week before to make a 10:15 appointment. My husband also took a vacation day from work to accompany me down to Lokey. We pulled up to the glass cabana and waited in line. When our turn came (there were 4 men in the cabana) the gentleman just said "What's your name and then WAIT IN THE WAITING ROOM?" Upon entering there were literally 20 people in that room silent and waiting. An employee walked through and we asked what or for whom we were waiting?!!!! He just said "I can find you a chair if you need one!!" (HELLLO????) I could still see my vehicle in front of the cabana after 30 minutes of standing - it wasn't in for repair at all and no one spoke to us. I was in limbo - we couldn't wait 3 hours for someone to acknowledge us. So we walked out, asked for our keys and drove the vehicle back home. Every other dealership you drop it off, give them the key and you are given a 'time frame' as to when to return for your vehicle. NOPE, not at LOKEY!! You stand there like Alice in Wonderland until a rabbit appears.. What the heck? I have never witnessed such lousy customer service in my life. I wanted a new Kia also and was going to look that day, but not now. Now here is the Icing On The Cake: they rang my phone twice this morning to ask why I 'missed my appointment on Tuesday' This is Thursday. I explained my frustration and the lady in Service asked "Well, would you like to make another appointment?" I told her there are too many mechanics around. Would never recommend Lokey. Also, as soon as we pulled in there were 3 Salesmen chatting and leaning against a car asking if they could help us - THREE - does not represent a thriving business for car sales with three hopping on you as soon as you enter the lot! I am extremely dissatisfied with how this dealership handled a service issue I have with the truck I purchased here. | I bought a used ford truck here ( my first mistake I know) I also purchased a extended warranty. My truck started experiencing mechanical issues 30 odd something days after I bought it. I made an appointment online (which is convenient) for Saturday afternoon. When I arrived at the service entrance there were three people sitting in the office who seemed to not notice I pulled up. After wondering around for a about 5 minuets I finally knocked on the window and was able to get a service person. I explained what was going on with my truck and immediately I was told that I should take it to a ford dealership and that they only can fix Kia. I explained that I bought the truck from this dealership and that I would at least like someone to look at it. I was able to ride around with a tec who was "good with trucks" . He was unable to determine what it was because he couldn't hook it up and look at error codes. I was basically told that there was nothing they could do for me and that I need to take it elsewhere This is so unbelievably frustrating. How can you sell other makes of cars trucks etc to people and then turn around and say you cant fix them or even look at them. I will give this place a grace that I was there at 1630. However on a Saturday afternoon with someone that has made an appointment and the knew what I was bringing in I don't understand how I was basically shunned away and told that there was nothing they could do. After I took it t another mechanical shop they were able to tell me what was wrong. I called the dealership back and explained to them what was wrong. I then got the run around about how they wont fix a diagnostic from another place and that the diagnostic could be wrong. I then explained that the error code was read off a Ford error code machine. I then was once again told they cant fix anything but Kia despite me telling them what was wrong with the truck. I just really don't appreciate being given the run around and told over and over again they cant fix a car they sold me. I also don't appreciate being told the truck was sold as is despite me stating that I had extended warranty that I pay for. In addition I think it is absolutely ridiculous that I have to have 400 dollar repair done on a truck that I have had for less then 6 weeks. I understand that cars break down but less then 6 weeks after I buy it COME ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If I can avoid dealing with this dealership I will. Despite the life time of free oil changes I will most likely take it to Tire Kingdom just to avoid the headache of the service department. Which is probably best because its a ford and they don't know how to work on those. I do have to say nothing but positive thin about my sales man Doug. He's awesome. read more

I just retired from 40 years in the car business in Chicago. I went to 3 other dealerships and they were the worst run places that I have ever visited. Then I stopped at Lokey Kia and the second that I saw Michael Murray approaching me I knew that we would get along. Michael listened to me and understood what I wanted to do and he and his manager Lance Parrott jumped through hoops to make it happen. Do not waste your time or better your money!! I made a huge mistake buying from here. Even though I was able to negotiate a deal $7,000 less than their original offer I still regret buying from here. I had transmission problems with my brand new car and brought it back to them and they were unable to troubleshoot it correctly. They wanted to keep my vehicle over night the second time I brought it to them and they don't even offer a loaner car!! I bought a brand new car for $32K and don't offer a loaner? I took my vehicle to Crown Kia in St. Pete and they were able to give me a loaner even though I didn't purchase my car from them. Not to mention they replaced the transmission and had no problems after that. I continue to take my vehicle to Crown even though they charge for the oil change it is way worth it cause it takes a half hour vs. the three hour "free for life" from lokey. read more

Sales department is great. They go out of their way to help you. However i feel bad fit them because the service department is the worst i have ever been to. The service writers have no idea what customer service means. After my appointment with service they come out and tell me they couldn't find anything wrong. I knew that was going to happen going in but it took them over an hour to tell me that. Then you get some bullshit story as to why they couldn't help you. Of course the service writers were no help at all. They could care less. Would never recommend you have service done here. I purchased a 2015 Optima in February from Jermaine. He was extremely helpful and nice to work with. The service department on the other hand is horrible. My car started overheating and it turned out to be the fan. After being told I would have my car back in a couple of days, I finally received. It after about 10 days. I had to call several times as Steve didn't communicate what was happening and why the delay. I also requested a call from the service manager and never received a call from him. They had to order one more part that was supposed to be in stock in a week. Over two weeks later, I finally received a call. I have to schedule an appointment for that part and now the warning light is on again. I'm disappointed that I have a lemon and they aren't taking responsibility for all the issues the car is having already. I own a 2008 Hyundai with over 150k miles and have never had one issue. read more

We just want to say Kudos to Sean Scanlon. ON a whim we came in to Lokey Kia on Saturday to have my wife look at a Sportage to lease for her business. Another salesman had contacted me through TrueCar. (TRUECAR IS A Big mistake THEY NEVER LEAVE YOU ALONE.) We talked to Sean and he tried to call the other salesman but he was busy so he handed us off to Sean who took over and it was very smooth sailing from then on. We looked at other cars at other dealerships and then went home. We decided that the deal Sean gave us was a good one and called him back and told him to write it up and we would be back at opening on Sunday morning. We drove home with a new Kia Sportage. The only thing we disagree with is that Sean has to split the deal with the other salesman. We think that Lokey management needs to rethink this as Sean did all the work and his effort was outstanding. We just want to say Thank You to a Great Young man, Sean Scanlon! Mark Brown in sales is extremely pushy and utilizes very high pressure sales tactics. He is friendly enough from the start, but quickly turns to high pressure tactics if he believes you may be on the fence. I recommend you request another sales person immediately if you find yourself dealing with Mark. I NEVER write reviews, but my dealings with Mark continue to this day... These two men did not pressure and, as Jason said, "do the right thing". We agreed to a price via e-mail and it did not change. Believe me we checked at least 4 other dealers in the Orlando/Melbourne area receiving only promises and some out right lies. Matt's orientation on the cars was first rate and made my two friends feel very confortable with the cars operation before we left. We only wish we lived closer to take advantage of their service. This dealership has to be one of the worst, most dishonest, and disorganized dealerships I have ever dealt with. I bought a used 2013 Ford Focus ST from them on the 4th. On the 8th I noticed that it was overheating (usually not a big deal, the reason why I purchased the extended warranty), called the dealership back, got a very unconcerned response that I had to get bring it back to get fixed. Had to remind them that the car was overheating and I live 30 minutes away, their response was for ME to call a tow truck and have it towed back there. Got the car towed at their expense, dropped it off, told the service advisor that it was overheating at idle and that it was probably a thermostat stuck open or a blockage in the cooling system. Zack told me that he would call me tomorrow when the look into it. Called back around noon the next day, asked for Lokey Kia Service and was transferred to Lokey VW service, asked again for Lokey Kia Service, got transferred to Lokey NISSAN Service, again asked for Lokey Kia Service and finally got the service department, Zack was not in and no one else could tell me what was wrong with the vehicle because it was in his 'paperwork'. Zach ended up calling back the next day and said that it was the Active Grill Shudders and it would take 3 days to get it replaced. I responded with, "I really don't think that is what it is, but if you are sure go ahead." I call back 3 days later to make sure that the car would be fixed, did the Lokey phone tag game again until I got the Kia Service department and Zack was not in and, again, no one knew anything about my car other than him. Called a couple of more times to make sure that the car would be ready when I drove over there since I lived 30 minutes away. Finally got a call back saying the car was done and ready to pick up. I asked them if they drove it and it if it was fine, "yeah everything is good to go," he said. Went to pick up the car, got in it and drove it around the block, lo and behold the car started overheating. No one drove the car to make sure that it was working. Brought it back to the service center and told the driver that it was still overheating, and he asked me to show him what was happening like he didn't believe me. I showed him that the temperature gauge was over the 'operating' temperature. He remarked that he didn't "even know what temperature these cars were supposed to run at". At this point I went directly to my Finance guy, Sales Rep, and the Sales Manager and demanded that they take it to Ford to get it serviced. The agreed, took it to Ford the next day. Called the next day to get an update around lunch again, and Zack again, had no answers. He remarked that they are waiting for Ford to call them back. Ended up calling Ford around 6pm and they said they tried to call Zach earlier in the day and he didn't answer and it was just a thermostat issue that they needed approval to fix it. Called the sales rep back to inform him and he apologized and called to approve the costs. This was on Friday and Ford couldn't get the part in and fix it until Monday. Picked up the car on Monday and has worked fine ever since. Fast forward to 19 days after I traded in my truck to this dealership, I starting to get calls from the lender telling me that my payment is overdue. Informed the lender that I traded the truck in for a different vehicle. The told me that they have not received any communication from the dealership stating that they have purchased the vehicle and will pay it off. That lending company only does a 10 day payoff, after that the amount changes. I really don't want to have to pay anything out of pocket for someone not doing their job. Called and asked for the General Manager, since my faith in anyone actually fixing this was at 0%, I really didn't want to try and play phone tag, and figured he would be the best person to get the job done at this point. Was informed that he wouldn't be in until Saturday. It is Tuesday!!!!! Asked to speak to the Sales Manager, he told me that the loan was good to be paid and he would send a note to the Finance department to get the check in the mail. I asked for someone to give the lender a call to confirm the amount and his response is, "Oh sometimes we can get it off the internet, we have access". Got another call again today asking for me to pay my overdue bill, called and got another excuse that it takes up to 30 days to pay it off. I again asked how they are going to confirm the amount they have to pay, got put on hold, asked for my number and was told that someone from the Finance department was going to call before end of business. Still awaiting a phone call. Worst car buying experience ever. read more

After stopping at 2 other Kia dealerships and not finding what I wanted, or a sales person that I liked, I stopped in at Lokey Kia. Right away I was greated by Nick Rizotto with a huge, friendly smile. I told Nick what I was looking for and not 20 yards away sat the car I wanted. We took it for a test drive and started the sales process when we got back. Nick was great through the whole process. Financing was great and easy to work with. I can't say enough positive things about our experience. Once the car was purchased, Nick stayed late to walk us through all the features of our new car, even syncing our phones to the UVO system. I asked salesman Robert about any incentives or rebates and was told no. Since there were no deals they would give me we agreed to pay the full MSRP for my car, $40,550. Found out they added a rebate on top of that and was not mentioned but briefly at the end. The Finance officer, Pernell, said I received the $1000 off MSRP. I was excited to hear that. Turns out in the paperwork they actually added $1000 to the "agreed price" and made it look like The car was $41,550 and added rebate to bring the price to $40,550. Which also means I paid the sales tax on the extra non-agreed amount. The agreed upon number (40,550) was not displayed on the finance paperwork exactly, except in an amount that had interest added into it. So trusting they were using the $40,550 price I thought the amount was correct. I was wrong. Unfortunately for me I didn't figure it out until the next day. Due to time constraints, the people I worked with knew I was very much in a hurry. I obviously trusted them do just do everything exactly like what was discussed. Now I can not get the sales manager Lance to return or answer a call from me to talk about this. This completely blind sided me that something like this would even happen. Bought a 2011 Sedona and they have treated me well. Fixed my driver's seat in a timely manner.

I went into the dealership a few months ago because something was hanging from under the front of my car. I was told that the part had to be replaced and that it was going to cost me a hundred and something dollars and that they had to order it. I said okay. I never got a call to say the part was in and they can put it on my car. This morning I must have hit a high curve because I had my neighbors come by and tell me something was hanging from the front of my car. It's the same part that the service department at Nokia kia said had to be replaced. I called to talk to the service supervisor and was going to bring my car in in the morning to be serviced. Only to find out online that they're not open on Sunday. Call back and the receptionist said that the service manager was going to be calling me back and she confirmed that the service department was not open on Sunday. Still haven't received a call back from the service manager. I was in there a week ago for a service appointment at 8 a.m. arrived early and still was there 2 hours for an appointment. At this point I don't trust this service department or the people who work there read more
