Wife needed coffee "like yesterday" so we went to Joebella Coffee and they have such a cute setup. Great place to meet someone or study. Wife ordered a Horchata latte which was sweet & flavorful. Not too milky which she liked. I ordered a tea and wanted some honey so the nice barista heated up some honey to mix into my warm beverage which was delicious. You come to Joebella Coffee for delicious, smooth, fresh coffee/drinks. Get the horchata latte or the cold brew. Both are excellent cups of cold caffeine. Service here is also top-notch. The baristas are friendly, attentive, and swift. Finally, it's a very charming, cozy, comfortable setup. I'd happily grab a book and kill an hour or two here. SLO has some great coffee shops. I have only been here once when visiting San Luis Obispo. Though it's a little out of the way, SLO is small, and it was worth making the trek to Joebella. Both the coffee and the service were excellent. I will be sure to visit again when I'm in the area. Highly recommend them. read more

Joebella has quickly become one of my favorite local coffee spots. The servers are always super nice and welcoming, which makes every visit a pleasure. They carry some bites from the bread bike, and they pair really well with their drinks. So far, I've tried their quiche and a couple of their burritos--and I haven't been disappointed yet. The quiche is definitely my favorite: fluffy, flavorful and satisfying. I also love that they offer specialty beverages. I've tried both the Horchata Latte and the Almond Joy, and while both were delicious, the Almond Joy has my heart. It's rich, unique, and just the right amount of sweet. I'm absolutely obsessed with Joebella Coffee! My boyfriend and I stopped by while driving from Morro Bay to LA, and I'm so glad we made the detour. We got their Coffee Flight and thought it was amazing and such a great value for $15. The flavors they had were Black and White Mocha, Horchata, Almond Joy and Lavender Vanilla Honey. Everything was delicious! The lattes were so rich and strong, which is just how I like them. My boyfriend and I agreed that it's some of the best coffee we have ever had. Our favorites were the Almond Joy and black and white mocha. The barista was also super friendly. There's a good amount of seating inside. I think it would be a great place to study or meet up with a friend. There are a few parking spots right out front, but there's also street parking all around. We ended up parking on Walker Street and found a spot big enough for our 26' RV. The streets are a bit narrow so I would be a little nervous if we were in a bigger rig! read more

Wonderful to have Joe Bella's in SLO, now one of the BEST coffee shops in SLO. Limited parking is a down side as not about a half dozen in site parking spaces. If driving at a busy time you will need to park on the side street, which is probably than backing out into S. Higuara St anyway. **** ADA accessibility FYI **** (Just got some ADA users, just to be aware of, old buildings always have some issues) The owners have taken many steps to make the location ADA compliant and usable but may not be for some ADA user. Below is not a complaint!! Just a FYI for some ADA users to be aware of. Overall they a lot to make it accessible and to meet or exceed many needs.... Handicap parking for rear loading wheelchair van is not really workable but reg parking spit in front of old station garage doors is better for rear loading HC van than designated spot. That said for any other HC parking spot users spot is mice and close, plenty of space and perfectly level access from building to parking with no ramps or grades. Restroom, additionally without a curb and railing at the restroom (as the street side walk is a single step down in front of the bathroom door) I would not recommend for wheelchair use either (this issue could be fixed by city elevating the street walk up to level with building access sidewalks) These are old building locations issues, and I live what they have done. Despite the above notes I am a power wheelchair user and am still thrilled with quality of coffee and the character of the old 1950's old gas & service station location. PCR seeing old buildings always being kept up and repurposed, Unlike the ugly block new buildings always in town, this location is maintaining the charm and character of SLO. While in town for a work trip I searched out this place. I wanted a clean delicious coffee , with a nice setting to study. I Ordered a Carmel latte. I sat to read and enjoy my latte and before I knew it, It was gone. It was well made and quite delicious. Not too sweet. I blew past my one coffee a day rule and ordered the almond joy. Wow- delicious. The barista was so kind and remembered my name. She didn't judge me for inhaling my first latte and made me another one with a smile. I also love all of the beautiful plants they have all around. This place is a keeper. I will be here whenever in town or passing through. read more

This distinctive building is hard to miss & this former garage makes a good coffee house. Sadly, Ascendo is no more, but we need to welcome Joebella. One of the possible reasons that the former store did not do that well, was that Cal Poly students spend too much time lingering around & can discourage higher income customers from spending time. It was hard to even find a seat in this former "study hall". Parking is very limited. Hopefully this new place will also join the "Good to go" network as did the former owner. read more

Loved this new spot! We were visiting slo and wanted to try a new coffee shop. Our go to spot in Pismo wasn't as good, so I was on the hunt for a coffee that didn't taste burnt and bitter. Found this little gem which looked new! Parking on the street was easy to find. The indoor is quite spacious with tons of seating for a coffee shop. It looked new and love the modern ambiance. I got a flat white and cappuccino, which came out pretty quickly. The pricing is decent as well. That first sip was good, good quality coffee and had good ratio of milk. I really enjoyed it! I felt like it didn't taste burnt/bitter and was smooth. My husband really enjoyed his flat white too. A coffee shop that looks like it took over an old gas station is conveniently located close to Highway 101. This place has the typical coffee menu with some added specialty drinks. I tried the Hotchatta Latte and the London Fog - both hot. They were good and a nice alternative to your typical coffee or tea. The staff is really friendly and the space is really clean. read more

Great coffee and my new go to spot. Good atmosphere and friendly staff :) I recommend the bourbon barrel-aged latte. Its just perfect! They also have fresh baked goods, I typically get a scone when I stop in. They have art on the wall from local artists, and I had the opportunity to talk with one of the artists as they were hanging new pieces. I think this is a great way to connect more artists to the community and expose people to art that they may not typically see in a downtown gallery. I stopped by here. I am on the hunt for the best coffee that I can find for my taste buds in San Luis so I stop by here at Joe Bella's and I have to say this is the best coffee I've had so far the gal who made my coffee was very kind. I hadn't had much to say about the service too much at other places, but she was very knowledgeable and sweet. She also welcomed me and told me goodbye, which I didn't get that service at other places I write the ambience was interesting. I would say I thought I was pulling up to a garage to get my oil changed or tires repaired, but I'm not mad at the location because it is right off the highway easy to get off easy to get back on that's a plus for me Because I don't live here. The coffee itself was great. I really the first thing I noticed was the coffee was actually hot. You know when you get lattes and they're normally just warm this was actually a hot latte so I enjoyed that. Secondly, I really love the hand craftsmanship of the caramel they make at their place. I was given a giftcard to try the new Joebella spot in SLO. Having lived in Atascadero for years I was familiar with Joebella and was hopeful since I know that location is a great spot with a cool vibe. The ambiance was still good, like Ascendo was, however I have to leave this review after today. I went up to Atascadero to do some errands and wanted a coffee and decided that using my giftcard would be a great treat. I pull up out of my way to the Atascadero Joebella and order and go to pay with my giftcard. It says denied. The barista let me know the card is only good for the slo location and "doesn't work" for this location. I was in shock and doubted that it just wouldn't work. I drove to the slo location to use the giftcard (going out of my way again but committed now ig) and sure enough- the /same drink is more expensive in the SLO location than in Atascadero/ That's why they don't let you use the giftcard anywhere and force you to just use the one location. I will be making others aware moving forward of this scam. I thought the coffee was expensive and interesting that I was right. I know they do keurig cups and other things so they have the means to charge the same price anywhere. Especially with the giftcard, that should be able to be used at any location. Not only that, but I got an iced coffee in which the cup was flimsy and almost fully broke in my car. I'll give it another try as my giftcard needs to now be used up at this spot but be aware anyone who goes here for average coffee/espresso. read more

So I don't do yelp reviews for the simple reason that I'm too busy. Today I find myself slowing down as I sit at SBP thinking of my recent 24hr trip to the area. I had some extra time on my hands and decided to hit some local coffee spots. I went to one around 9am that was outside a gym and it was ok. Clearly a cash grab off a popular local roaster. I went to another very impressive shop where the locals go. Lots of decor and fun things to see. Skateboards everywhere and a friendly staff with tasty drinks. Having about two hours to kill I stumbled into Joebella Coffee. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and freshness of the beans they were using. The cashier engaged in conversation about the sourcing and origins of their esp and the barista crafted a perfect Cortado. The esp was rich and full of flavor. The foam thick and smooth. You could tell that this was a coffee shop. Small and intimate with coffee at its forefront, this shop hits all the marks. Friendly staff and amazing product. Do yourself a favor and grab a cup from Joebella's today. You will not be disappointed! read more
