    Mangonadas & cucumber aghast fresca
    Carissa S.

Lokuras has quickly become one of my family's favorite spots! We've been here a number of times now, and honestly, we just can't get enough of this place. Everything they serve is so fresh, flavorful, and made with care. The mangonada is absolutely amazing - the chamoy, mango sorbet, and fresh mango come together perfectly. The piña loca that's made out of a whole pineapple is not only delicious but huge -- definitely a treat to share (though you'll want it all to yourself!). Their aguas frescas are always refreshing and hit the spot every time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The employees are always kind and welcoming, and the shop itself is clean and inviting, which makes the whole experience even better.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you're looking for a spot with delicious treats, creative flavors, and great service, Lokuras is it. Highly recommend stopping by -- you'll definitely want to come back again and again like we do!

The Welcome Ritual [[HIGHLIGHT]]Step inside and you're hit by more than cold air and pastel tile -- you're hit by real warmth. No pretense, no forced charm, just genuine smiles and that LA-on-a-cooler-day vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Coming from LA, I was half-expecting a sanitised Vegas imitation. Instead, I got the real deal: genuine Mexican dessert hustle--fresh, vibrant, unapologetic. 1. Piña Colada Frozen Drink This is not a syrupy frat-party swill. They blend fresh pineapple chunks into a creamy, icy elixir so bright and alive you almost expect a mariachi band to break out. Each sip is like sunburnt sand under your feet, minus the sunburn. It's vacation in a cup -- tropical, refreshing, and memorable. 2. Thrifty's Chocolate Melted Crunch Ah, the nostalgia bomb. Thrifty's classic, complete with that peanut-chocolate crunch, resurrected right here in Vegas. They didn't half-ass it--this was full trip down memory lane. One spoonful, and I was nine years old again, at the corner grocery store, holding my own ice cream cone, eyes wide. 3. Triple Waffle Cone -- The Big Show They ask, "You want big?" and deliver a tower of three waffle cones stuffed into a comically large cup. It leans. It teeters. It invites disaster--and you want it. Moments of sticky mess, brain freeze, and sheer joy. This is dessert extremism done right. 4. "Heavenly Sampler" -- staff‑crafted magic The real hero move: the staff. They take your vague flavor tendencies--"love tangy," "hate vanilla," "show‑off chocolate"--and weave them into a customized flight of desserts. A splash of creamy cajeta here, a sprinkle of coconut ice there, maybe a swirl of tamarind sorbet for good measure. They know what they're doing, and the results taste like they were divinely ordered. 5. Churro Sundae & Paleta Ice Cream Mashups Beyond the big-ticket hits, there are enchanting side quests: * Churro Sundae -- warm cinnamon-sugar churro sticks plunged into scoops of velvety vanilla or chocolate ice cream, topped with cajeta and a dusting of nuts. * Paleta Remix -- thick house-made paletas (think mango-lime or spicy tamarind) blended into milkshake form, giving you nostalgia with an edge. Every version is fresh-to-order, vibrant with real fruit, spices, or chocolate -- not freezer staleness. 6. Portion Size: Oversized, but Balanced Yes, portions are epically huge. That triple cone? It's a spectacle. The frozen drink is more like a meal. But they balance it with real texture, real fruit, real crunch -- no filler, no fluff. You may leave sticky, but never over-sweetened. 7. The Space: Tiny but Mighty [[HIGHLIGHT]]Interior's minimalist: four two-seaters, no lounging, no lounging. It's about the pick-up, the walk out with treasure in hand. Sitting down feels like decaf at a biker bar -- sure, but who's here for atmosphere when the goods are this good? Vegas heat makes your sugar rush even sweeter.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Final Verdict This place isn't just dessert--it's dessert with soul. Fresh, made-to-order, with syrupy nostalgia and daring flavor play. Staff who know you're not just another sugar sucker--they guide, craft, and hype. A DTLA transplant's dream and a Centennial Hills hidden gem. Go with expectations: * Tell them your favorite flavor vibe -- tangy, citrusy, chocolate, crunchy * Let them hypothetical-blend a flight * Prepare for triple-cone chaos and brain-freeze bliss TL;DR If you're near Centennial Hills and your inner child (or your taste buds) still crave authentic Mexican sweets, this is your church. It's big, bold, and unapologetically real--just like LA, but without the traffic. So grab a cone, embrace the sugar, and walk out grinning. Pro tip: Bring the kids!

We are so happy to have found this place on our maps. We moved to the area months ago and were missing our go to spots but this hidden gem tucked away in a centennial neighborhood is perfect for your Mexican treats. Everything looked really good! We went just for ice cream but they have all the Mexican deserts and snacks you could want. I am so excited to have this place close especially in the summer! The ladies behind the counter were really nice. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Also love how it's decorated and everything looked really clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

My wife was acting up while I was getting my battery replaced at the Autozone next door. My wife decided to take her inside here to get some vanilla ice cream. My wife and I ended up ordering Mango smoothies 10/10 it was really good and perfect for today's weather.

Lokuras was on my to go list for several months! My husband and I finally had a chance to stop by on a Thursday evening, just before Lokuras closed for the evening! We definitely got lucky! Lokuras is a family owned restaurant. It offers a wide range of Ice Cream, Fruits, Drinks, Shaved Ice, Snacks, and Corn. There's currently two locations in Las Vegas, one on S Decatur Blvd, and one located in Northwest Las Vegas off of N Hualapai and the 95. The customer service is outstanding here! They were kind and helpful, going over the menu options. You have to get their Escamocha with Ice Cream!! It was so delicious!!! The fruit was so fresh and scrumptious! It was chopped red apples, papaya, cantaloupe, strawberries, and banana mixed. Vanilla ice cream was put on top of the Escamocha. The team members provided a lid for the cup and a spoon. We also ended up getting a scoop of their classic Thrifty chocolate ice cream. The food was so good here and it was pretty inexpensive. If you're in the area, looking for a sweet treat, I'd highly recommend Lokuras!

Visited this place as the pictures on their window were very appealing. The ladies were very helpful and friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place was clean and has a couple tables and chairs.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The elotes that I had was loaded. The corn was tender and sweet. The strawberry shaved iced was so goood!!!! They added sliced fresh strawberries. This is a hidden gem. Check them out. I'll definitely go back to try their other items n their menu.

    Fresas con cremas
    Daniela G.

I really wanted to like this place, but it's just not giving what it's suppose to give. The fresas con crema doesn't even taste like it's suppose to it just tastes like whatever cremas they decide to use. Even their advertisement shows the pink cream the fresas leave when you make fresas con crema, but whatever cremas this place uses it just stays white. Also they state it comes with raisins but mine didn't have any. They put way too much cream I had to toss most of it so it can be a balance between the fresas. They were out of coconut so I wasn't able to taste their coco loko. The esquites are super mid, and my daughter's limón shaved iced was tart. You're better off making a drive to La michoacana.

Lokuras is a fantastic Mexican Sweets and Snack shop! Although it is fairly small, it is absolutely packed full of flavor with so many different choices to choose from. Lokuras has everything from Aguas Frescas, Jugos, Yogurt, Fruit, Shaved Ice, Ice Cream and Floats to Elotes, Esquites, Nachos and other snacks. We often take our daughter there and she has so much fun picking out different treats. She loves the Chamango, Sandia and Coco! My all time favorite snack is Esquites...and let me tell you, the Esquites at Lokuras has got to be the best I've had. Lokuras is very clean and the staff is always super friendly and helpful, it's always a great experience and a lot of fun for the whole family. If you are looking for something different, super fun and delicious...I highly recommend you get over to Lokuras and try them out!

This place is a bit of a drive for us but so worth it , coming from LA we had these wonderful snack shops growing up and it just brings up good memories. The shop is so clean and smells so fresh , we had some raspados and esquite and it taste just like home. Everyone was so nice and friendly with service.

A much needed spot in the Centennial Hills area! A Mexican dessert/sweet shop is a great introduction to a new audience who are not familiar with items like Chamango, Raspados, Agua de Mamey, Tostilocos and other popular Mexican sweets, snacks, and drinks. We stopped in after checking out the Skye Canyon Farmer's Market nearby and I got a Strawberry Raspado with Vanilla Ice Cream and Mrs.Q got a Raspado de Tamarindo which hit the spot. It's great to see customers go outside of their comfort zone and try new items that they haven't seen or tasted before. Other observations I've seen on the workers end(There were 4 workers and about 10-12 people) are speed and knife skills/bigger knives are essential to shave off long wait times(Yes, it's a new business, but this is just a bit of constructive criticism) as a few big parties has lengthy wait times during our visit, and with Summer and the Vegas heat just around the corner, Lokuras will be BUSY! Welcome to the neighborhood Lokuras! We will definitely be back! ALOHA!!! SHAKA METER: \uuu/ \uuu/ \uuu/ \uuu/ \uuu/ 5

This place is delicious! Such a big verity of different wonderful Latino dessert flavors. This is a family owned and operated business which makes it a jem for me. I grew up in a restaurant. When I see the kid helping his mom out here it melts my heart and I love to support these businesses especially if they are this good! So come out and do something good for your community and try this place. You may be tasting something for the very first time but that's also an adventure

    Cotton candy ice cream
    Jessica B.

Yummmmm! This place is a Mexican snack bar restaurant-but it also has thrifty ice cream!!!! My kids had the cotton candy thrifty ice cream with sprinkles and I got the chamango-the chamango was refreshing and had the perfect balance of sweet tart and "spicy." Next time I will order the food like the elote (Mexican corn) or the chicharones. I had a little bit of a hard time with the menu because I'm just not as familiar with these types of snacks but I am excited to try new items. The little shop was very clean and the girls working were the sweetest!

But we had people in our party eager to get shaved ice, which is advertised on a lot of their signs, only to find out they weren't serving shaved ice tonight. So that was frustrating. We went ahead and ordered some dole whip and then, slowly watched like 5+ groups that were behind us get their ice cream before us. We brought this to our attention. At first they said "sorry we only have one guy doing it. This made no sense as the people behind us got dole whip. Then a few seconds later they admitted no one was doing it. A few mins later and and a few more successful pickups later the manager came out to ask what was going on. I explained yet again (mind you the firework show was well underway). He promptly went to the back and made our dole whip. He then explained there was a mixup with orders and who knows what. While he was friendly and fixed the problems lots of time passed so this was frustrating. The dole whip of course was great though

Many have seen establishments come and go at this very location, and even myself, I hadn't ventured in since it opened two years ago. I kept reading the many positive reviews and also recently had an acquaintance rave about this place - finally, I had to check it out for myself. When you first walk in, the decor and ambiance is great. I like the dark decor and the bar is stunning. My favorite place to sit is always at the bar counter so myself plus one took a seat. Right away we were greeted by Chase who had solid drink recommendations. We like to seek out a good Espresso Martini and Chase makes their own inspired version of it here called Cabra Sagrada with a tequila. You can see in my picture - it not only looks great, but tasted great. We started with Chips and Salsa. Yes, it is $4 but it's so worth it. The fire roasted salsa tasted so fresh, amazing flavor. You get a really good portion of salsa. Yum! We ran out of chips and still had salsa left and Chase provided more chips for us to finish the salsa. Next, we had the wings which were out of this world. It comes with 6 wings that are fried to a nice crisp. I can't even explain the flavor explosion that the wings have. It's a mix of sweet and spicy, but get this - it has Szechuan chili oil. This flavor was so different than anything I've ever tasted. To complement the sweet and spicy flavor, Chase said to squeeze the provided lime on it. Indeed - perfection. This is definitely a must-try item. Next we got the fajitas with carne asada and pollo. The portion is really big. It's loaded with a generous portion of meat, peppers and onions. I don't normally get dual meat fajitas, but again, on the advice of Chase we did and I'm really glad we got to try both proteins. The flavor of the meat was really good and you get enough tortillas for the portion. The fajitas are only served with tortillas and I'm actually glad that it didn't come with a side of rice, beans, lettuce and whatnot. Why? Because what I learned while dining here was that this isn't your regular ole Mexican restaurant where you may get a lot of food but of average quality. Truly, everything served here I could taste the quality of ingredients. They do have rice and beans sides available, but honestly, we already had plenty of food before us. We ended with dessert of course - two kinds. We learned about their ice-cream which is made special and it comes in a cone swirled high. I liked the cone holder it came with as well so it can sit on its own. The ice-cream is not overly sweet which I really like. It is smooth and creamy - really good. Lastly the Durango Flan. It has a fresh citrus flavor with the oranges on top. The flan itself is creamy. The portion is a good size as well - I highly recommend this dessert. If you don't drink alcohol but want something refreshing, try an Agua Frescas. I had the Fresa y Menta which is a strawberry mint agua fresca. You really taste the strawberry flavor and the mint was a really nice touch. Overall, I can't believe I hadn't come here since it opened. You have to be open to a different Mexican restaurant experience. I really appreciated the uniqueness of their drinks and menu items. The quality in everything really comes through. Most of all, the vibe here was amazing and I love sitting at the bar. Chase and the team are so friendly. I can't wait to go back and try more items.
