Gilcrease Orchard got me hooked on Armenian cucumbers! I tried them for the first time because they grow them here. So glad I tried them as I prefer them over traditional grocery store cucumber varieties. I noticed that there are are description cards providing detailed information on most of the goods made available at the registers. Early Saturday morning out for a stroll in search of some peaches. What a beautiful place. First time here. I took my walker because I figured it would be a hike. 2.5 miles later I have peaches! I might say that my walker worked out well despite going through the orchard. It was hard to find ripe ones because they were picked over. Hundreds of people must trek through every week. The peaches are better than the store bought ones. We used to have a peach tree at home before the wind destroyed it. Now, those were the sweetest peaches ever. The ones we got at the orchard were okay. They were fresh. They were also selling popsicles and donuts. I bought my husband half a dozen of the strawberry donuts. The produce stand was a bust. I wanted to get a tomato or two but none and I didn't have another hike in me. It's wonderful this place is in Las Vegas. Very well maintained. read more

Gilcrease Orchard is such a unique place in Las Vegas. I went there this morning and hand picked my own peaches straight from the trees. They even have already picked produce and fruits for you to buy, and I bought some onions and garlic and strawberries in a carton. They're only open from 7 AM to 10 AM on certain days you can check their website. I love being outdoors instead of cooped up in the house or at work. I took my cart that they provide for you and I walked up and down the rows. I had a nice workout! There's always something to buy there and something to pick. I also appreciate how easy it is to book tickets online and that they stagger entry times, so you're not waiting forever to get in. I love the family farm atmosphere, and the orchard itself is big, beautiful, and full of great photo opportunities. A refreshing place to be, away from the glittering lights of the strip. Here you can see how fruits grow and harvested and what farm to table really means. It is a delight to see how fresh the produce are because you pick it yourself. Nothing tastes better than freshly picked fruits and vegetables. The freshly made donuts were tempting, but I didn't bite.. They have a huge parking lot, a large tent eating area, wheel barrows to haul your produce and a well organized cashier area. They also provide you with plastic bags, but it's better to bring your own sturdier bags. There are clear signs as to what rows of produce are available. As a Las Vegas native, I absolutely love going to the Orchard with my family! Especially during their different seasonal times. We love Christmas at the Orchard, fall at the Orchard and sunflower days at the Orchard just to name three of our favorites! The sunflowers are abundant and so much fun to cut. The fields of sunflowers are absolutely beautiful! Somehow I missed the memo because I'm sure it is stated somewhere but we chose a 9:15 AM slot and by 10 AM. They were letting us know they were closing and we needed to leave ASAP. We were super sad because we did not get a chance to go purchase any peanut butter/juice or donuts and that is one of the highlights of our visits every time. Make sure that you book with enough time and grab your donuts either ahead of time or prior to 10 AM. Can't miss an opportunity to review my favorite fall attraction in Vegas! We look forward to going to Gilcrease every single year and now we bring the family along with us!! Big tip, get tickets early! They definitely sell out. We got tickets for like 7:30am. And while I was annoyed we had to drive across town at the crack of dawn, I actually think this will be the time we end up going moving forward. It wasn't crowded AT ALL! So nice to actually enjoy every part of the orchard. They have donuts (!!!) and other food. They had live entertainment in the morning and it was a girl and a guy playing banjo and singing. Love taking my daughter here for their seasonal stuff. Came when it was the first day of sunflowers and saw a video about strawberry picking. Strawberry picking was right by the sunflower field entrance and so was don't I go there first. The lady informed us if we had a revelation for sunflowers to do that first. So we did when it came time for strawberries they were sold out of the buckets. They were letting others in but I guess they purchased before going in the sunflowers. Put a damper in the experience as daughter threw a fit. Just wish they would have also told us about purchasing the basket before going to the field. read more

I love this las vegas staple for fall celebrations. I had not made it out since 2019, but now that I have a child and he was old enough to enjoy himself I felt I had to make a return. Make sure to get your ticket online for your time slot before you head out during holidays. It costs very little, like 3 dollars a person. In addition to a whole field of fun pumpkins to choose from and pick yourself, they have the popular apple cider donuts! I like the cream cheese frosted the most, and when we got there they were freshly made and warm! We also got some caramel apples, apple cider, and then got the pizza at the concessions area. I was surprised how awesome the personalized pizza was. The crust was so pillowy! There were singers serenading us while we stuffed out faces with carbs and sugar . After filling up on guilty indulgences, and grabbing some for later, we made sure to check out the corn and hay maze, feed some chickens and take a tractor ride. Make sure to bring quarters to get chicken feed. We also said hi to the tortoises they have. They have produce stands near the entrance that have current items for sale, sometimes you can also pick items in season yourself. They also have the larger jugs of apple cider and its more cost effective than getting a bunch of small ones. This is such a wonderful place to get you in the mood for the holiday season, and also something special for a desert dwellers who need to feel their is hope to have a garden out here. This is such a treasure in the desert! It really is an orchard where you can buy/pick the local in season fruits and vegetables. We went for the fall festivities and enjoyed the live entertainment, food, tour, corn and hay bale mazes, and to pick our seasonal pumpkins from their fields! Quite the adventure! The corn maze will take about 20- 30 minutes (or more if you get really turned around) so plan accordingly if you want to take the tour ride. The weather was perfect and we left tired and happy after a wonderfully full day! They even have a "Kissing Booth" for photo opportunities, fresh pressed apple juice, and so much more! Came here for the Fall Harvest Festival with my family and we loved it. We ordered tickets in advance and secured a spot. The parking was difficult because they were busy. We were able to ride the hayride. We wished it went all around the orchard, but it was still a cool experience. We also saw chickens! They even had an area to sit to eat, which we liked. Their apple cider donuts were so delicious and fresh! The apple juice was also on point. The staff there were nice and informative as well. There were lots of places to take pictures to capture the moments with the family. The pumpkin patch was okay. There weren't a lot of pumpkins left, but it was still cool to see. We first visited Gilcrease Orchard 3-4 years ago, and unfortunately, our experience wasn't great, poor customer service and the donuts were hard and stale. This time, however, was a completely different story! We purchased tickets online almost three weeks in advance, and the process was simple and easy to navigate. On the day of our visit (a Sunday), we found parking within 5-10 minutes in their huge lot. The area felt safe, with police officers present to monitor the crowd. We decided to try the donuts first thing in the morning to see if they had improved. The cream cheese frosting donuts were light, fluffy, and absolutely delicious, definitely worth the $8 for six donuts. We also enjoyed apple cider for $3. Overall, our experience this year was fabulous! We really enjoyed everything! The Hocus Pocus show was fun, although it was a little crowded with seating close to others. The hay ride was wonderful, with beautiful views of the mountains, and the kids loved running through the hay maze. The corn maze was long and enjoyable, I imagine it would be even spookier at night. The pomegranates were a bit hard to find, but we were pleasantly surprised by the nice-looking pumpkins we picked, especially since we went later in the day after the orchard had been open for several days. This is such a unique place to get your produce and I absolutely love the concept that they have here! You pick your own produce to take home with you. So you're not only getting fresh good food but it's a fun outing for the family. The Sunflower Garden is beautiful right now lots of blooming Sunflowers. Tickets are available to purchase online only. Sunflowers are $2 per stem and shears are provided. We were happy with the three picked out and purchased. A lovely place for pictures. We absolutely captured beautiful pictures. The Summer flavors for the cake donuts are Original, Carrot and Strawberry. They have three different types to choose from like plain, frosted and sugar. We bought two boxes at first: one plain Strawberry donuts and the second was sugar Carrot donuts. The best was the Strawberry cake donuts we had to stop to get another box on the way out. Our favorite family tradition in Las Vegas is visiting Gilcrease in October for the pumpkin patch aka Fall Harvest. We have been coming annually for just over 4 years and feel like it gets better and better every year! Here are some useful tidbits: 1. Fall Harvest is a ticketed event and you will be turned away without one. Serious. I saw a lady with tickets for another day try and get in and she was sadly turned away so do buy your ticket ahead of time and make sure you get them for the right day. Tickets are reasonably priced. $3 weekday, $5 weekend with children 5 and under getting in for FREE! Yay. 2. If you're a parent you NEED to bring a wagon. Picture this: tired kids, lots of pumpkins and apples, boxes of delicious donuts, your water and backpack and snacks and...! Bring the wagon, not the stroller. Thank me later. Yes they have wheel barrels but if you have a wagon already it works really well. 3. They have REAL food and drinks and the price and wait are very reasonable. They also have a decent amount of seating although it can get crowded mid-day. 4. You're going to be walking a lot in the sun and will maybe want to wear a hat and bring sunscreen and extra water bottles (they do sell water $1 each if you need). Also maybe wear a tank top under that thick sweater you thought would be cute for pictures. 5. Love that they have ample hand washing stations situated by the chickens, toilets and food court. You can tell the owners of Gilcrease take sanitation and efficiency seriously. 6. The corn maze is actually a maze and I got stuck in it. Be prepared to not see your kids for a while! 7. If you want to get sunflowers wait until you're about to leave unless you have water for them. They are flowers and will get wilty and sad. 8. This is the cutest place to go for the fall time when you live in Vegas. You have to buy tickets before because it gets sold out quickly. Once you're in, there isn't a time limit. There's plenty of parking and those so many pumpkins to look through. My kids had a place looking all the different ones. The prices for them too were better than the stores. You can pick other veggies and fruits too. The kettle corn popcorn is delicious and you have to check out there apple donuts they make. Get the ones with cream cheese. This is such an adorable and family friendly place, especially for families with younger kids. My kids are three, five, and seven and they all enjoy the wagon ride so much! Fun for them and us parents too, to see the chickens and other animals, walk around, but getting lost in the corn maze was not the most fun, but still exciting for the kids to do, and the apple donuts with sugar and the apple cider is sooooo delicious!! The price for admission and allowing children under a certain age in for free, and also have free parking, entices us to visit more often and support this orchard even more so with making more food and beverage purchases, too! Fall harvest is amazing! We arrived around 8:55 am on Sunday and it was packed. Lots of families with wheelbarrows and wagons of pumpkins and other produce. We saw green beans, eggplant, granny Smith apples, pears, squash and more. So many rows of pumpkins to choose from! We enjoyed the wagon ride around the farm as well. There's a chicken habitat and you can feed them with the food you can purchase for $0.25 a portion. The corn maze was fun and so immersive. It's not difficult so go for it! We also caught a bit of the hocus pocus show. The apple cider donuts were delicious. We got the sugar ones. I also loved the joypops. It's pricey but such fantastic flavors. I especially enjoyed the pumpkin cheesecake pop. It's $5.44 per person on the weekend and young children get in for free. It's $3 plus processing fees per person during the weekday. My family and I booked tickets for the Gilcrease Orchard on September 29, the first weekend of Halloween!! This was my family's first time at Gilcrease Orchard! Gilcrease Orchard is located in Northwest Las Vegas, Centennial Hills area. It's a family-friendly adventure! There are a variety of fall activities that you can participate in at Gilcrease Orchard! Check-in was a breeze. I provided the QR code that I had received upon purchasing the tickets online to get checked in! Only one QR code needed to be scanned, even though we purchased 5 tickets! The first thing we did was we had to go get some apple cider donuts! We ended up purchasing a pack of 6 donuts with 2 apple cider drinks! While we waited for the Wagon ride around 9:15 A.M, we ended up eating some donuts! They were freshly made! There was so much cinnamon sugar on the donut. It was still hot! The apple cider was delicious! it was freshly squeezed! I'm so glad we bought 2 apple cider drinks! The wagon ride was so much fun and we learned a lot too! We didn't realize how many animals were at the Orchard, from foxes to owls, falcons, gophers and so much more! The ride takes you around the entire Gilcrease Orchard. You'll get to see the pumpkin patch, apples, cucumbers and so much more! After the wagon ride, we did the corn maze! The corn maze was interesting! You couldn't really see around you as you traversed through the maze! Luckily, there wasn't multiple paths and it was just a one way maze! It was a lot of fun and we spent about 20 minutes going through the maze! The last activities were the farmers market area and the pumpkin patch! The farmers market area had a wide range of vegetables and fruits available. We did get some tomatoes and black garlic. From there, we got a cart and went to pick out some pumpkins! Along the way, we saw some apples and cucumbers! There were so many pumpkins to choose from! We picked up several pumpkins. It was so much fun picking our own pumpkins from the orchard! There were a lot of other families there too doing the same thing! If you're looking to pick up some fresh fruits and vegetables, there's a seasonal schedule available from Gilcrease that lets you know when is a good time to come and pick certain fruits and vegetables!
