Stopped in for dinner with the family on a Friday evening, mainly because it looked like a quaint little local gem right off of Main Street. It wasn't busy at all, so we were able to order quickly. The menu was pretty simple, and sounded awesome. Garlic fries with tantalizing burgers? Sign me up! I ordered the jalapeño bacon burger, my wife got the turkey avocado burger, and the kids got a grilled cheese, cheeseburger, and Mac and cheese. They had a nice variety of homemade sauces that looked really good, like a ranch sauce, fry sauce, homemade ketchup, jalapeño salsa, and a couple others. I got one of each while we waited. Our food came out pretty quickly and looked really good! I quickly discovered as I started eating the fries, that the flavor was 85% in the appearance, and not I. The food. The garlic Parmesan fries were pretty bland, and were only redeemed with the homemade ranch and fry sauces, where were pretty awesome. The homemade ketchup was disappointing. It tasted like tomato paste out of a can. My burger was okay. The actual burger was juicy, and the bun was great, but again, the flavor was not there. After a couple bites, I realized that they had forgotten the bacon. They were great about taking it back and adding it on. It's a good thing too, since that's where the flavor was for the rest of the burger. Well, that and the delicious ranch sauce. My wife said that here turkey burger was pretty bland as well. The kids weren't fans of the fries, but they seemed fine with their sandwiches. The Mac and cheese was basically some macaroni mixed with velveeta cheese. Really good mac and cheese isn't that hard to do, so this felt like a cop out. 2 of the kids meals came with an m&m covered cookie, so at least the kids were happy with that. Overall, the lesson learned was that looks can definitely be deceiving. I really wanted to like Lola's, but in the end, I just couldn't. read more

Came here for lunch on a Thursday. Not very many people. Staff was kind and quick. Atmosphere inside is nice albeit small and a little cold. Food was really fresh. Had a blue moon burger and if anything it was a little too fresh haha. The Gorgonzola or whatever cheese on it with the real fresh patty were really good but a little earthy. The ice cream soda sign is just for decoration. Twice I've been there and no milkshakes. Which they do offer randomly. When I asked if they has ice cream for milkshakes. The girl actually said. It is too cold, the ice cream would be too hard to scoop. What? Good burgers cooked to order, tasty fries, and special sauces. They could make good milkshakes too, if they were motivated. This is a cute little place that isn't overcompensating for the quality of their food. I had a Blue Moon with fries and everything was very good. The garlic fries aren't heavy handed on the garlic, like many tend to be. Some might take issue with how they cook their beef - with some pink in the burger, but quality meat should have a little pink. This is a feature, not a bug. Don't embarrass your kids by asking them to cook it longer. The burgers aren't too big and they don't body slam you with a ton of fries that you can't finish. The serving sizes are appropriate for one, so not as shareable. It also seemed that mayo was offered on the side in single use packets rather than just assumed and slathered on your burger without being named as an ingredient, like at 98% of Utah burger joints - THANK YOU!!!! The only knock is for the lack of beverage options, which are mainly just cans of soda. That may be a temporary safety precaution due to Covid? They should still serve a cup with ice & a straw with the can of soda if that's the case. Personally I don't dig the metallic taste of drinking from a can. read more

The burgers are terrible. Its supposed to be a Angus beef burger. This one had no flavor. Not juicy AT ALL even though I ordered it medium, and the texture of the meat was weird. My wife and I have been tracking down the LoLas food truck to get our favorite burgers and amazing fries for years. We sure can't get over the fact that we have a fixed location right in our town where we go all the time! I love the thick well seasoned patties that cannot even be compared to the thin dull center of most burgers even at the same price. Love the Margarita burger, country chicken sand or steak salad, To switch things up. I have never regretted a meal from Lolas those guys know what they are doing they know how to make great food. I do miss the chocolate milk shakes you had for a while though! But then again with how insane good the tress leaches is I can't complain :) having lived in midway. I was a life long Timpfreeze fan and distraught now that it's finally gone for good. However, after trying lolas I'm not so distraught anymore. So far I havent tried anything that I don't like. Three of us decided to try Lola's for the first time, and we were not disappointed! We had fish tacos the chicken sandwich and avocado cheese sandwich. We all had the garlic fries. We loved the food and wondered why we hadn't tried Lola's sooner. My husband thought the fries were perfect! They were fresh cut, and were cooked just right, I thought they were good, but I would have liked a little bit more salt and garlic on them. Hmmmm, I have been to Lola's in the past and the steak salad and gyros are good. Last night my husband and I went and tried their burgers. I got a cooked to medium Margareta burger (a special for the day.) The toppings on it were mozzarella cheese, sun dried tomatoes, and a lettuce mix. Barely any toppings to speak of. And the burger is stated on the menu as a Angus beef burger. The meat was terrible! Dry. No flavor. Yuck! And it had a strange texture to it. I took 2 bites of it and threw the rest away. My husband did the same. Also the garlic fries don't even taste garlicky. The only thing I enjoyed last night was the glass of Pacifico beer. Well, I'll never get a burger from them again. Lola's is consistent and awesome! Homemade ketchup, homemade ranch, homemade fry sauce! Amazing fresh salads, chicken nuggz with buffalo sauce! These are a few of my favorites, but they are always rotating items in the menu so you try new things. They don't offer fountain sodas, which is a bummer, but you can grab one after at the 7-11. When this used to only be a food truck I was a big fan. My husband and I went last week and were slightly disappointed. My husband got a Jalapeño burger and I got the turkey burger. The Food was excellent, we ordered the burger and the tri tip salad. Both the burger and the tri tip were cooked to perfection. The one complaint that we had was the salad lacked enough other ingredients in it. But besides that the experience was great. Go to Lola's! Excellent - top 5 - chicken sandwiches. I get it - a lot of places make them. Lola's is better. The mac n' cheese was a fan favorite as was the Nugz. We enjoyed a Souvlaki as well. It's obvious Lola's cares about quality, from the delicious buns, to the quality of the toppings on their sandwiches. How good is Lola's chicken sandwich? My son snuck back a second time a few days later and my family of 6 was jealous - they wanted to go - mutiny! If it wasn't an hour away I would have taken everyone. Lola's cookies are some of the best we've had (trust me, my family loves baked goods) - excellent texture, perfect ratio of ingredients, and flavor. Take them for later. We husband and I stopped in here for a brunch bite in early February 2019 while in Midway for our honeymoon. The restaurant was recommended to us by a local shop (Water From The Moon) so we decided to try it and we were very glad that we did. It's a small deli-style atmosphere with a beautiful, elegant yet simple decor but the menu was surprisingly ambitious and creative. I ordered a panini with sundried tomatoes, arugala, shitaki mushrooms and truffle oil pesto. Go head, go back and re-read that, I'll wait. It was DIVINE! Seriously, truffle oil pesto in Midway Utah! I'm from Las Vegas and I've never seen that on any of the Michelin star menus we have here! Where did this chef come from? The food was delicious right down to the heaping helping of garlic and feta french fries and the rasbperry flavored Coca Cola in glass bottles that they must be using wizardry to bring into existence because I'd never seen that anywhere before either.
