They have a good combination of traditional items with untraditional ingredients and if you've been to their other restaurants you recognize some of the most popular. The food was great, my only critique for the queso fundido is it needs chips or double the amount of flour tortillas served. The restaurant is small but very open so it doesn't feel small. Overall, the food was decent. I'm giving three stars because of the experience when we arrived. We were told there would be a 20-minute wait, which was fine, and we signed the waiting list to receive a text when our table was ready. After 30 minutes of waiting outside, my husband went in to check, since we hadn't seen many people leaving and noticed several open tables. He was told we could be seated right away, and that there had been system issues--but there was no apology. The waiter was very kind, and the food itself was fine. The ambiance was clean, inviting, and included outdoor seating. We stopped in for a quick bite and found a new favorite. Lolito has a great menu so it was difficult to choose. We needed something on the lighter side. We went with barbacoa octopus which was smoky and a touch spice with some mild jalapeños and the elote. We finished it all off with some guacamole and were perfectly satiated. Came here with my mom and sister for dinner Saturday night and it was great! We got guacamole and chips along with the sweet potato tacos and the chicken tacos. The portions are pretty good for location and amount of food, but they've made tacos build your own with the ingredients on a plate. We went here for lunch yesterday with a big-ish group. It was 4 adults 3 under 2. We sat at a corner booth which had plenty of space! We started off with some verde salsa and guac. The chips were SO good they were the perfect fluff and crunch! I had the chicken tacos which was perfect for lunch. We absolutely loved Lolito! We stopped here with friends for a late lunch after a walk and was able to get patio seating straight away on a Sunday. It was the perfect place for phenomenal, delicious food and drinks on a summer day with friends! Casual and SO good! You can't beat some of their weekday specials! The taco Tuesday special specifically - for the price ($5/taco), quality, and quantity of meat it is as good as it gets. Today I tried a smoked pork shoulder taco and a smoked brisket taco. The brisket was my favorite on my last visit but the pork might have it beat- there's significant heat from the black habanero but it perfectly brings out the flavor of the pork. Was looking for something a little different for my birthday this year, and couldn't have been happier with the experience! My son and I share similar tastes, but my wife has allergies and doesn't like spicy food or peppers. Olivia, our waitress, was very helpful tracking down allergy information and letting us know what was safe. We started with drinks, chips and the grilled pineapple habanero salsa. The chips are made in house and not fried in oil where fish is fried and seem to be a whole grain chip. Very tasty. The salsa was really good, but didn't have a lot of kick to it, which did mean we could all enjoy it. Drinks were very good as well, though pricey. The food is amazing. My wife had a cheeseburger with the house made ketchup and claimed it to be the best burger she's had. My son and I had the Birria Ramen, which is shredded beef, guajillo, tomato, mirin, tamari, lime, consommé, soft boiled egg, cabbage, radish, cilantro, tortilla - fantastic! There are ramen noodles, too - recommend asking for the tortillas on the side, as they come in the bowl and soak up broth very quicky. We also had deserts: I had the Mexican Brownie, and the wife and son had the Dulce de Leche Cake (not the traditional style, but very good). Over all, the experience was great. As noted, Olivia was awesome, the food and drink were great, and we do plan to return. Note, it can be pricey. read more

The waitress was very attentive and brought water right away, which was great since it was a hot summer day! I ordered the happy hour Lolito margarita and it was delicious! Eating at Lolito Cantina was not pleasant. We went for lunch on Saturday, and although it was fairly empty just after 12:00pm when we entered, we weren't served until closer to 1:15pm. Several other tables came and went, and they obviously forgot about us, as there was nothing difficult about the order. The food was not great, and when we spoke with management, they would not provide us compensation for the food that was 1) incredibly late, and 2) not good. We had to wait a few minutes for our group of 4 to be seating, but it was faster than the original wait time we were quoted. We were seated and someone came by to took our drinks order. Our server was pretty cold (maybe it was just an off day), but we were able to get drinks. We ordered beer and spicy margaritas and they came as expected. A while later we got to order food. We ordered a small guac with chips and let me tell you...regardless of the guac size we got a TON of chips. Several of us ordered tacos, and since there was no mention of how many tacos came with an order (it is two), some members were still pretty hungry after. I would strongly recommend getting sides. My partner and I got an order of tacos and a burrito bowl to share, but I was bummed to see that the burrito bowl was lined with a flour tortilla (I am gluten-free for health reasons). Cute Mexican restaurant in downtown Stillwater. It's owned by the same owners of Stillwater Proper and Lolo. On this particular day we popped in for a bite while it was raining outside. We ordered chips and the salsa verde...it's delish. Hubby ordered an bunless burger that was absolutely incredible which isn't the first thought you think of when you go to a Mexican restaurant. I ordered shrimp tacos which were just okay. I do have to say that it did take over 30 mins for us to get our food which was a little frustrating with no updates from our server. The other thing is that the place was not busy at all cause it was 3pm in the afternoon so I'm not sure why it did take so long. Maybe they forgot about us. I went to Lolito Cantina for my boyfriend's birthday last night. This was our second time trying it as we try to stay away from downtown Stillwater due to the parking nightmare. It was difficult to find parking, we circled the block about 4 times before finding a spot. Thankfully that was the only negative part of the night. We were instantly welcomed when we walked in and got to choose where we sat. The restaurant was pretty empty which makes no sense based on the quality of the food. Do yourself a favor and order an appetizer. We got guacamole to start and had to add an order of queso after trying the chips. I would walk across the state for those chips! SOOOOO YUMMY!! The burrito bowl was the perfect amount of food and the margarita was delicious! They use these fancy ice cubes so it's just a single piece of ice in the drink rather than a bunch of tiny pieces which was cool and so much fancier than I am used to. They sadly do not offer any deals for the birthday but the food was reasonably priced and the service was phenomenal. 100/10 across the board! Can't recommend this local business enough. But after driving through town, we like the looks of it and give it a try.
