Churros were hot and crispy, accompanied by hot drinking chocolate for dipping, and more thick, creamy dulce de leche than we could possibly eat. I'm not a big drinker, so I appreciated that they have a fun selection of non-alcoholic cocktails. I had one that came rimmed with Tajin and containing a pineapple popsicle that melted and became part of the drink. Fruity, fun, a little spicy, and moderately priced. Besides the delicious food--at reasonable prices, especially considering the size of the portions, we were impressed by the friendly, helpful staff. The atmosphere is light and pleasant with plenty of windows, interesting art, and comfy seating. You'd have to think hard to picture the space in its original form as a Hardee's...but then again, the owners built their reputation for great food starting in a gas station.
