Everyone knows that you come to Loma Linda's for the margaritas.. I second that point. They are good, but I don't drink the flavored ones so I can't comment on it. The food is average, although I have found some things that I think are decent (the bacon wrapped shrimp and carne asada tacos), but you can't expect a five star experience when you can have 2 people, drink 4 margaritas and still spend less than $50 total. For the price, it's a great place. It's very hit and miss with the crowds.. I've gotten right in, or wait 30 mins showing up at the same time. All in all, give it a shot. read more

I received a second call from another manager yesterday, again basically accusing me of lying, and said there is no way we got sick there. No compassion, no, "what can we do to make it right?", just " we do no wrong". I went over to get some of the best baked wings in town. I told you before. Fresh baked wings here take an extra 30 minutes. Taste better I tell the bartender! I wanted to give a shout-out to Loma Linda's for making our family reunion so special. Our family is from the area, and we came back to honor our late dad who used to bring us here as kids. My mom even remembers coming here as a teenager while attending Maumee High in the 1950s. To relive those memories, we stopped by on Friday, June 13, 2025. There were nine of us and we sat at the big table near the entrance. Our server was super attentive, and the food was just like we remembered. Been here more times than I can count. The food is more "Americanized" than it needs to be which is why the 3 stars. It doesn't stand out amongst other places area the Toledo area. The margaritas, on the other hand, are the absolute best in NW Ohio. Our local Tex/Mex spot is a happening place on a Tuesday! Busy but wait staff sat us immediately. The place is rather small and always packed. It's been a Toledo staple for ever. They are known for the margaritas. I however do not drink them, but my wife makes up for my shortfalls in that department. I always just get appetizers, I haven't been disappointed in any that I have had yet. No the main menu I've had twice and haven't cared for anything that I've had (again hence why I stick the apps). I know a lot of people love their chicken wings and ribs. This is the busiest 2.5 star restaurant I've visited! My friend that lives in the area said they are always busy and I saw that when I came for dinner on a Saturday night. The wait was already longer than half an hour at 530p and the restaurant is huge with about 5 dining areas. Food, service and price were great! There are tons of options on the menu and prices are very reasonable. Our waitress was friendly and awesome. There were so many things I wanted to try, but didn't want to order more than I could handle. I'll have to make a trip back for more. Complimentary chips and salsa were good. One of the reviews mentioned that it didn't come with a bowl, but I think it's fine since I can just pour what I want onto my little plate. Cajin Shrimp Enchilada (no sides) $6 - Yum! The enchilada was covered in delicious cheese sauce. I didn't taste any cajin nor shrimp, but it was still good, lol. Adelita Shrimp $9 - These bacon wrapped shrimps appetizers were alright. The bbq sauce on top wasn't really my thing. Margaritas (short glass) $4 - Grape was my favorite out of the ones I tried (including watermelon and jalapeno). The Jalapeno one had a nice little kick, but it was a little too jalapeno juice-like for me. So the deal is that you don't go to Loma's for the food. Everyone local knows this. You go for the margaritas, which are insanely strong and insanely good and you can not drive after drinking them. Now for the food. The food is not authentic or wonderful, but it cushions the booze. My recommendations are Cajun Chicken Nachos or the Saturday Special. This place is the scum of the earth. In our 49 years of eating out this place takes the cake as the worst restaurant I've ever had the displeasure of eating at . The beans were obviously canned and microwaved, the rice was atleast a day old, the chicken fajitas had the texture of a GoodYear eagle touring tire. I feel like I need to rate Loma's 10 stars to offset some of the negativity of some of these posts. If you rate this restaurant less than 3 stars, it's because your grading scale is off and I should automatically report you to yelp for suspicious reviews. Loma Linda's is not an authentic Mexican restaurant. I know I've probably thrown your whole word upside down. Maybe you were thrown off by their slogan "Toledo's First & Finest Authentic Mexican Restaurant Since 1955". Replace "Authentic Mexican" with Tex-Mex and your world becomes a little clearer. Mexi skins (potato skins), chicken wings, and burgers. More tex than mex. But once you've accepted this, you can truly start to love. Hard shell tacos. Enchiladas. Chimichangas. Meat packed nachos. Tortilla soup. Multiple salsas that aren't too sweet. 2 kinds of tortilla chips. Wow, I might just go there on Saturday to get my fix. I cannot overstate two things: 1) the margaritas are small but the best I've had and 2) if you do not prefer cheese over everything then stick with items without cheese. 1) The building (well, actually, the second building after they expanded in the 1990s) still standing today because of the margaritas. 2) You can have any sauce you want for your enchiladas as long as it's melted yellow cheese. Do you want green sauce or red sauce on your enchilada? This is not that place. You just can't; I've warned you. There are restaurants in Toledo that serve authentic mexican with handmade corn shells and your selection of carne asada or pollo taqueria style and Mountain Dew yellow 30oz margaritas. If you want that, get that. If you want something different that is good in its own way, then try Loma's. read more

Wow Loma Linda! A big place, with a big menu, and a big customer base! We went on a saturday evening and, despite trying to get there a bit early to beat the crowd, entered to a fairly short wait. The parking lot is huge, so I was surprised to see that it was pretty full. It is appropriately sized for the restaurant because this place has a ton of space for dining in there! There wasn't much room to wait (it was still pretty chilly outside) but we managed just fine. The people that came after us did seem a little cramped, but I'm not sure we saw the patio area that people were heading to (I'm assuming it had a tent of some kind) by the bar until we were heading to our table. You *can* wait with a drink though - so since the margaritas are affordable don't think twice about grabbing one to sip while you wait. The menu was pretty big and even had some american options and some nice, affordable, kids options too. My biggest recent foodie love was there in full force as well - melty white con queso (and yellow too - if that's your thing). You can order a side of it - and in my opinion unless you have a medical issue preventing it this should be an option at every mexican restaurant. The complimentary chips and salsa were nice. You can choose mild or hot salsa (or mix them yourself if you so desire). The hot wasn't burning off anybody's tongue but still had a little kick. I liked that you could pour them on your own plate and didn't have to worry about a communal salsa bowl. I had the chicken and rice which was fairly simple, but tasty nonetheless. I was lucky to be able to steal some con queso from my lovely better half which really sealed the deal. The chimichanga and enchilada that others at my table got came with high compliments too. The adelita shrimp took a bit to prepare (we were warned and accommodated) and were tasty, though simple. The BBQ sauce did overwhelm them a little bit though. The margaritas each tasted just like the candy in the name, though the watermelon did appear to have some pulp and small seeds and the jalapeno margarita had plenty of, well, diced jalapenos in it so there is more than just a sugary mix. Grape was tasty as well. Our waitress was quite friendly and overall dinner was great. The bill didn't hit too hard for a party of 4 and it was a good thing we had a designated driver. Overall Loma Linda is doing great! While I wouldn't necessarily call this the most authentic mexican food experience I've ever had the business shows they are doing what people want. In my personal opinion taste trumps authenticity - even if it makes me feel like a chubby, cheese lovin' American now and then. Even though I've only given this place three stars I definitely recommend stopping in. The service was actually really great and there were tons of TVs. The crowd of people were also very nice and it was busy but you got your food and your drink in a very good amount of time. I was just a bit disappointed I didn't have a margarita glass and that they were more options with the margaritas like spicy or something like that and the food was OK but definitely didn't taste very fresh but definitely quite bad for you which is good but not that great do you know just some more color in some fresh ingredients would make a nice bar and restaurant. read more

To start off we had the white queso dip which was very good! The kids meal were all good deals/ well priced. I got a chicken burrito and it was good. My husband enjoyed his chimichangas. I know it's not know for its food but given that's all we got it wasn't bad. Average/ above average. Wasn't our favorite Mexican place but we will try it again when we can get margaritas read more

My wife ordered a frozen margarita, and it came in a shot glass. Finally, the seafood nachos were nothing more than crab salad from the store on top of chips. Personally, I find that the margaritas are a little underwhelming, i.e., not very strong. You could drink one or two, and it would (almost) still be safe to go across the street to Cleland's for some target practice. I'd like to give Loma's two and a half stars. read more

My first time here in about 5 years. I had a burrito served enchilada style meaning it was covered in cheese. It was good but not great. I remember when this was the number one Mexican restaurant. We were seated outside so I don't know if the restaurant still has that rowdy atmosphere. This used to be one of the best places to visit before the Ohio State Michigan game. Sadly dissatisfied, not for bad service, not for bad food, not for any of the reasons you would be dissatisfied for. After nearly two years of absence due to Covid, returning to find the menu being scaled back, limited options, simply no dinners, just aps and finger food, tacos, burritos, etc.. Understanding the needs to adjust to meet the circumstances, but this one, I'm saddened. They have always and appears to still have the support of the community and for good reason, it's an enjoyable place to dine, so one would think that they would be closer to normal than most, but alas and sadly - not. Please people, understand, even still, through their adjustments to dire situations, they are still just as good as before, limited but just as good. Flavors are as remembered, margaritas and all, staff ready and waiting, pricing though staggered due to menu changes, still a good value.
