I went over to get some of the best baked wings in town. I told you before. Fresh baked wings here take an extra 30 minutes. Taste better I tell the bartender! Have me a couple margaritas while Im waiting. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Now this place is tried n true.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I drop my grub off at the house. Pick up my sweetie from work. Get home to black baked wings. Wtf? Calm myself down. Call over there n the manager says what do u want us to do about it? No offer of fix or anything. Now mind u this is a place I go 2-3 times per year because it is 20 minutes outside the city. Thanking my lucky stars I only did 15% tip for my 2 drinks n to go order. After my silence, she says do you want me to put your name on the wall for a free order wings next time? I guess? I don't think I will be back unless someone convince me. Attached the black burned wing pic

Chimi with lettuce and tomatoes... 3 small cubes of tomatoes

Food mediocre at best. Service was slow. Hot salsa was REALLY good!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice place, I just don't recommend it...[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I wanted to give a shout-out to Loma Linda's for making our family reunion so special. Our family is from the area, and we came back to honor our late dad who used to bring us here as kids. My mom even remembers coming here as a teenager while attending Maumee High in the 1950s. To relive those memories, we stopped by on Friday, June 13, 2025. There were nine of us and we sat at the big table near the entrance. Our server was super attentive, and the food was just like we remembered. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The margaritas were delicious, and the restaurant had a great vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My cousin picked up the check, so I missed our server's name, but she was the same person who took care of me when I visited alone in 2023. Loma Linda's was the perfect stop on our nostalgia tour. We can't wait to come back next time we're in town. Gracias!

We came here because we had a coupon. We've been trying to find good Mexican places because most in Toledo aren't that good. This place was okay, I don't think I would come back to be honest. I had the Mexican pizza and it was good but I've had much better with fresher ingredients. They use store bought chips and salsa so that says a lot.

How is this not 5 star? This is great Mexican food at an even better price!! The food is great and the service is better. I wanted to try their margarita and the server recommended a flavored option with just a little and it was perfect! I can't wait to come back.

This is the busiest 2.5 star restaurant I've visited! My friend that lives in the area said they are always busy and I saw that when I came for dinner on a Saturday night. The wait was already longer than half an hour at 530p and the restaurant is huge with about 5 dining areas. Food, service and price were great! There are tons of options on the menu and prices are very reasonable. Our waitress was friendly and awesome. There were so many things I wanted to try, but didn't want to order more than I could handle. I'll have to make a trip back for more. Complimentary chips and salsa were good. One of the reviews mentioned that it didn't come with a bowl, but I think it's fine since I can just pour what I want onto my little plate. Cajin Shrimp Enchilada (no sides) $6 - Yum! The enchilada was covered in delicious cheese sauce. I didn't taste any cajin nor shrimp, but it was still good, lol. Adelita Shrimp $9 - These bacon wrapped shrimps appetizers were alright. The bbq sauce on top wasn't really my thing. Margaritas (short glass) $4 - Grape was my favorite out of the ones I tried (including watermelon and jalapeno). The Jalapeno one had a nice little kick, but it was a little too jalapeno juice-like for me. This seems like a good place for big groups and there were a couple of birthday parties going on when I was here. Parking: Big parking lot with some potholes. ....| \ _ , , , - - , , _ , .../ , ` . - ' ` ' . _ \ - ; ; ; , _ ..| , a - ) ) _ . ; . ( ` - ` - ' - ' ' - - - ' ' ( _ / . _ ) - ' ( _ \ _ ) 2019

The next one came back sour. I shared half of it with my friend who agreed. We spoke to the waiter and he commented that all margaritas have lime in them. I added a bunch of sugar to the other half and it was ok. The thing is, shouldn't he have offered to replace it? He was arrogant enough to walk away from the table. We will not be returning. There are plenty of good Mexican restaurants where you don't have to wonder if your $13 cocktail is going to be good enough to actually drink. I wonder how many of those waiters and waitresses have green cards....

The our friends 2md margarita was so strong of lime it was not drinkable. She poured some in my empty glass and I was in agreement with her. when our waiter finally came to our table her and Ivtold him it was not good and he smiled and made a sarcastic comment said the drink was half gone and we showed him the 2 glasses that totaled 1 drink. He just walked away. My friend proceeded to put sugar into her glass because it was bitter and it was a strawberry margarita. He never came back the guys wanted another and after 15 more minutes he came back and we just asked for our bills. We have never been treated so rudely there we have always enjoyed dinner there. 3.5-ish For starters, the name of this restaurant (according…read moreto its own sign) is Taqueria Carnales, not Carnales Taqueria (as listed on Yelp). Anyway, this is a place for people who enjoy highly flavored and spicy food. Seriously, ask them to go easy on the jalapenos if you aren't up for spicy. I ordered everything as is for my first visit for takeout and enjoyed it but it was on the edge of too spicy for me, (chicken grande burrito) without actually crossing the line.Very much crossed the line with the shrimp tacos, imo. I ordered the following: Menudo Soup (made from cow's stomach); Shrimp Tacos and a Chicken Burrito Grande. The estimated prep time was 15 minutes and the food was ready on time. It's a cute, small restaurant that is very clean. While you could choose to dine in, I didn't see anyone eating there and it appears that most of their business is carryout. Upon arriving home, I found that the Menudo Soup had spilled inside the plastic bag. Not too big a deal. The other entrees were packed in styrofoam containers. The burrito was wrapped in paper and foil. My mom had the Menudo Soup and said it was good. She had one of the three shrimp tacos and said it was okay but that she wouldn't crave them. The avocado slices looked very fresh. My mom loves spicy food but she commented that the soup and tacos were very spicy. As for my chicken burrito, it was unexpectedly spicy in a mostly good way. The burrito was stuffed with everything inside - guacamole, rice, chicken, refried beans (very little), cheese and jalapeno peppers. It was a delicious combo but I would have preferred the individual ingredients to be separate. The biggest problem, however, was that the foil wrap made it difficult to cut into the burrito without also cutting into the foil. I think it's more of a "me" issue that might not bother anyone else. Overall, I would order from this restaurant again. The quality is definitely way above Taco Bell, but it's not quite fast food even though it's next to a Subway. Also, I asked if their refried beans were made with lard and I was assured they were vegetarian. If I hadn't seen so many positive reviews on Yelp, I wouldn't have known to check out this spot, but would encourage you to try it too for high quality, authentic Mexican cuisine! EDIT/UPDATE: I tried one of the shrimp tacos that my mom left in the fridge. OMG, it was super spicy to the point of giving me hiccups. Plus, the spiciness seemed to come from a creamy cheese sauce added to the shrimp tacos after they were cooked. I can understand why my mom wouldn't crave them and I would never order them myself. Based on your personal preference for spiciness, let this give you an idea of the level of spiciness that could be added to your food unless you request your dish to be less spicy. Recommend with caveat re spiciness.

The moment you walk in, you're hit with that warm, lively vibe that makes you feel like you're in for something good. And trust me, you are. This time around I came with my husband and we had in a margarita, a 40 oz beer, the California burrito, and the garlic shrimp. Everything came out hot, bold, and packed with flavor. Every dish I have ordered from this place tastes like it was made with real care. The plates are generous, too. You're definitely getting your money's worth here. What really seals the deal is how reasonable the prices are for the quality and portion sizes. It's rare to find a spot where the food is this flavorful, the servings are this big, and the bill still feels fair. Tacos Jalisco has become one of my go‑to places in Saline, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit. They do charge 3% service fee if you use credit card so they can keep their prices low.
