His attention to detail and gentleness really made the experience very enjoyable. But it was the way my hair looked when I left that has me writing this review. I have difficult hair so I do a lot of research on the stylist. I called 15 mins later and said I didn't feel comfortable with that stylist they chose and ultimately cancelled. I tried to reschedule and figure something out with Arlett but all her days didn't work for me. The receptionist said ok! No worries I'll go ahead and cancel. The facilities were modern and clean and their location in Cinco Ranch at La Centara offered plenty of parking as well as the "dreaded lure" of plentiful shopping and restaurants. I have very thick complicated straight hair, and I'm very particular about my haircuts. She has been doing some great hairstyles on other women, so I decided to get some hi-lites on the crown of my head, and balyage on the lower of my hair. Adriana was excited, because I'm a natural redhead, and she got right to work on her colors and toners. Adriana saw my vision, and went above and beyond my expectations. I went in reserving a spot with a certain hairstylist we talked, her and another stylist about what I wanted. A layered short shoulder length cut and a balayage. She walked off talking with the other stylist coming back to say it would be around $450. Tbh she didn't sound too sure herself and the things they were pricing me for were not at all in the pamphlet they showed me (in photo). I showed pictures and examples of what I wanted and... the end result, was nothing at all what I wanted. I had gotten a bob with thick highlights and it all rounded out to about $700. The stylist I reserved even left early and had someone else style my hair for me. I wanted to cry at the sight of my hair that I don't even have one photo as proof. Date 10/10/19 4:00-8:00pm Stylist: Adrianna - 2nd visit Toni & Guy customer: 18 years After not being able to come to a resolution with Erica (office manager) I felt it was necessary to post a review here. Upon arriving for my appointment, Adrianna asked what I wanted to do, I responded the same thing(color) we did last time. A few more questions about low lights and highlights and it was discovered that she did not record what colors were used at our appointment in July. We decided on two colors from the hair chart 10/32 and 10/03. She proceeded with partial highlights and I requested that the toner be placed on my hair line to blend the roots better. I have normally gotten a rinse with shampoo and conditioner, after the toner was rinsed she placed a towel on my head (this is not what we did last time) so I thought okay maybe she is trying to create a spa feel or just relax me. I ended the appointment with a trim on wet hair no products or blow dry. When I went to check out the bill was $257 and I usually leave around a 20% tip bringing the total to $307. I thought this was a little high but I didn't question the amount at the time. After sleeping on the bill I called the next day to get a price breakdown (this isn't provided on the receipts). $104 partial highlight $39 toner $64 cut (no products or blow dry) $50 Olaplex My issue is with the Olaplex(gloss, conditioner, mask - they seem to have multiple names, that was put on my hair, I did not request this nor was it disclosed to me beforehand that the cost was $50(I would have said absolutely no). I would also like to mention that while the TG are owned individually the Galleria and Sugar Land charge $24 for toner. In closing, please ask for transparency on pricing and be very specific if not put in writing, what services and products will be used during your appointment. read more

Let me start by saying that everyone is very nice. Unfortunately, I felt like they never gave me a real solution. Had to go in multiple times to get it fixed and even then I felt they threw some hair dye on and called it a fix. The "bowls" ($50 initial bowl/$20 any additional) are kind of ridiculous...they make it sound like you'll only need 2-3 bowls and I ended up with 7 or 8, I guess, I just stopped counting (Shoulder length hair). Doesn't sound expensive but you get all those extra bowls it adds up. Plus, additional services (toner/gloss). It would be nice if they just gave gave a set price like most salons. A conditioning treatment for $45! Found the same product on Amazon for $45 bottle. Nice people but disappointed. read more

Well i was forced to post this here since TONI&GUY took my review off their IG page. So just wanted to warned you guys. Yesterday i went to my hair appt at 9am at Toni&Guy in La Centera well let me just tell you worst experience ever!!! i did not leave until 5:45PM!!!! because their so call Educator stylist Krystal messed up my hair and had to have someone else fix her hot mess. My scalp was on fire after having it bleached and of course the toner plus more toner to fix the horrible color. And to top it off Krystal leaves me with Jerrid another stylist to fix her mess never a word as far as hey this is Jerrid he's taking over for me NOTHING and she leave me with him never to be seen again. I asked for the manager Erica she comes over, i explained everything she asks me where's Krystal im like your guess is as good as mine. She tries to find Krystal and nothing, manager comes back without Krystal and starts apologizing for her. This is the 2nd time this has happened to me at this location with diffrent stylist. I had the same issue with another stylist there Desiree, another "Educator" with some highlights I got from her, hot mess in the back too. Had to go back to get it fixed. I definitely expected more from this place being its a so-call high end salon. I wish i had taken pictures to show but it was so embarrassing to post any pics. So now my hair is darker than when i went in because of the toner Jerrid had to add to fix it and i was trying to go lighter and now I'm back to square one. And that's was make me angry, the money i have to spend AGAIN to lighten it just to go where i was to begin with. So go at your own risk you might be one of the lucky ones. To answer your question Melissa I left with better hair than what Krystal left behind. But not as a happy customer and yes I still had to pay 100.00 bucks after that horrible service and its not a rare occurrence at least for me. I had to wait over an HOUR for my appointment. No one seemed apologetic for wasting my time. In addition, the hair stylist toned my hair the wrong color after I repeatedly told her I wanted platinum. Went in for full highlights on my shoulder length hair. Let's just say that she damaged the s*** out of my hair. The ends are nearly fried off, I should have known this since she let it process for almost two hours while applying all the foils from start to finish. I understand that I went with one of the lesser experienced colorists to save some money however the work of all reflects on the company. As they say, you're only as strong as your weakest link. First, these folks are incredibly nice. But, my quest for finding a good cutter in Katy continues. I was very clear I wanted wash-and-wear, no styling or products involved. It is all about the cut. The cut is a short bob and my hair is thick, healthy with a wave. A couple months ago I had my haircut out of state. The stylist spent over an hour just cutting it while wet and did an amazing job. No styling or blow drying was done. Just wash and go, and it looked perfect once my hair dried. I had hoped a stylist here would be able to follow the cut. Unfortunately, ya London Alchemist they only spent 15-20 mins on the actual cut, then blew-dried my hair to see if they had missed anything. Their logic was sometimes you miss something in the cut while it is still wet. However, logic was flawed since the cut was styled and not just blown out. I knew that styling actually HIDES flaws in a cut. Looked great when I left the salon, but knew the next wash would tell the tale. Cut to two days later, it is not laying down, is not terribly even or layered well so I HAVE TO STYLE it to work. Sigh. Again, lovely folk, but relies too much on styling and not precision cut. And now the great cut I got a coup,e months ago is gone to be used as a guide. I think I will have to drive into Houston to find a solid, experienced cutter - if there is one to be had. Any recommendations for a precision cutter would be greatly appreciated. read more

HORRIBLE JOB!! My friend got her hair done here yesterday by Ciel and she was left with chemical burns and patchy hair. Originally she was booked for a cut and color both in one day, they ran out of time and after a cut and wash and suggested that she come the next day for her color. During the process she informed Ciel that her scalp was severely burning, afterwards her scalp was left with burns. The next day we called them and asking for a refund they said it was her fault for coming to get her hair colored after washing it the day prior, despit the fact that THEY were the ones who washed it AND set the appointment. they only gave her a half refund because of the consent form. Not to mention that all the staff was NOT empathetic and lacked compassion. Absolutely horrible never coming again. read more

Love love love everything about this salon. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming, and the decor is gorgeous. Love the mimosas too! Jerrid is amazing- I just let him pick what he wants to do with my color/cut and it is always stunning, and the conversations we have are so much fun. After the last visit, my hubby insisted I keep going outside in the sun so he could see the different hues in my hair.
