My Seiko watch has been my constant companion since my early days in the Air Force.. when a battery failed to bring it back to life recently. I took it to London watch for help. Little did I know that there was a capacitor that worked in junction with the battery that kept the watch running. The owner of the shop fakes my watch and noticed that the band needed a replacement clip so he took care of that as well.. you might refer to it as a small mom and pop shop, but they are so expert and what they do that I would take any time piece to them for repair. I took my antique pendulum clock here and the man looked at it and told me he would let me know in a week what needed to be done. He called me a week later and said it would be $485.00 to repair. He said it needed a complete overhaul and rebuild and it would be a year and a half before he could get to it. I told him that my daughters could get it repaired if they wanted too and I would pick it up. I picked it up and hung it back on the wall and it started working. It hasn't worked in three years and now it's working. So I'm conflicted at this point. Do I rate them five stars for unknowingly fixing my clock and not charging me, or do I rate them one star for trying to rip me off on a simple cleaning. I'll give them two stars, but you might want to look elsewhere to have your antique clock repaired. read more

I took two watches to have the batteries replaced and that took about 5 minutes. Excellent. Then I had an antique clock that's currently being serviced. From the large "Big Ben" clocks to the small stuff this is the place to go. Great service and plenty of parking. read more

My mom got a quote from London Clock and Watch Company. They quoted $350, charged her $495, and now the clock runs fast. My mom has to manually correct it to show the right time (every day), so she called the repair shop about it. The man was so incredibly rude to her and tried to claim there couldn't be an issue without even checking the clock! This work was supposed to come with a one-year warranty. I'm baffled. Do they not want to stand behind their work? We lost my grandma just 3 months ago, and this was her clock. That's why we wanted it working - to remember her. My mom also just lost her cat on top of that. Suffice it to say, this experience with London Watch and Clock Repair was so incredibly upsetting for my mom. I wish she would have checked the reviews before using them - they had an average rating of 3 stars, even before this review. That really says something. Other things to note: They charged $30 for a WATCH battery, it took over 3 months to fix my grandma's clock, they couldn't find her ticket or the clock after 2 months (they needed my mom to give them the number off her customer copy of the ticket). If London Watch and Clock Company wants to reach out to us and make this right I'm willing to change this review. Otherwise, I would encourage potential customers to strongly heed the warnings. read more

Very pleased! I visited London Watch & Clock today for the first time. Half my leather watch band detached from the bezel and I needed the band fixed. Robert, who I guess is the owner, let me know I had two-small-a band, and that was contributing to the problem. He told me the correct size for when I wanted to replace my band down the road. Robert put a larger-size pin on my band and assured me it wouldn't come off a second time. Very pleasant and knowledgable man, and the repair charge was miniscule. Jeff W. read more

I have used London for a number of servies: Taking links off of a watch band Cleanings Battery replacement I have been happy with them each time I have used their servies. I find the prices to be a bit on the high side and the wait times for services to be reasonable. I will continue going to London for any time piece needs. They are locally owned so I would call to verify hours of operation (especially around the holidays - I realized that last Good Friday) and volume of business as to make certain not to waste your "time". I took my watch to them to fix it. Fixed it but first time I washed my hands water got in it bcuz they didn't seal it correctly so I took it in and he yelled at me like a CRAZY person saying that it's not waterproof and you can't wear it in a pool and I won't guarantee it since you wore it in a pool and that is a 30 yr old watch. So you pay this man to fix it but he doesn't close and seal it and doesn't guarantee his work. And This is all after he replaced the movement and water got in. Yes the watch was 20 yrs old and it's 14kt gold and a expensive watch. My advice is: DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE BECAUSE HE IS A LUNATIC!!!! read more

I had been driving around with my watch in the glove compartment (dead battery) for about 6 months. Back in the day Radio Shack would always change the battery for me, however, when I tried a couple of weeks ago they just pointed me to a wall filled with batteries. Uh, yeah I have no clue which one fits my watch and definitely have no idea how to change it myself. Then I tried a mall kiosk with no luck again. Well, driving down West Avenue I spotted London Watch. I had to ring a doorbell and then they let me in. The lady wasn't super friendly, but all the prices were clearly posted on the wall. She told me that they had the battery and she would replace it for $13. Seemed fine by me. If I need a battery change, cleanings or any other clock work this will be on the list for price quotes. read more

Does ok work, however dropped off a working watch and now doesn't work after minor repair. Owner is extremely rude on the phone and dosen't seem to care. Says it's his business and he can talk to people the way he wants. Well buddy this was your one shot at getting and keeping my business and you failed. My breitling was the victim of some water damage and London watch was recommended to me by a friend. Although the gentleman was unable to locate the part needed for my watch, he offered to disassemble my watch and remove all the water.... FREE OF CHARGE! RUDE RUDE RUDE!!!! I took an old antique clock here to get oiled and looked over to make sure it was running properly before I gave it to my wife as a gift and the lady working snarled at me without even looking at my clock that it would cost $479.00!!! I was shocked so I asked if I could speak to someone else in the shop and a short grumpy man walked up and treated me the same way and just said "479 dollars, that's what I'm gonna charge you". So weird!!! I do not understand how they get any business. I could have replaced the whole inner mechanism for cheaper than that! I promptly got my clock outta there and took it to Clocks of San Antonio on 281 near Brooke Hollow. They were extremely nice and helpful! Joel was the man who helped me and he was very sincere and enthusiastic about helping me. He told me my clock would probably need to be lubricated and slightly adjusted. He only charged me $127 and kept it for a week to make sure it kept perfect time. He went into detail explaining to me the history and worth of the clock and told me I was very lucky to have it. He wasn't just trying to get my money, he was honestly excited to work on it and even bumped me ahead of schedule to make sure I could give it to my wife in time for our anniversary. Very good service and extremely friendly. I'm glad we have a great business like Clocks of San Antonio here in town, too bad London watch & clock company isn't really in London. read more

Twice I left work early to get to this store to get my watch battery replaced. Both times the shop was closed even though it was not yet the closing time posted on the door. A third time I got there and was told I'd have to leave the watch, which I did. It's a Citizen watch and they are supposed to be able to service Citizen watches. When I returned to pick it up the analog portion of the watch was running, but the digital portion was all messed up and could not be set. The jeweler told me that "something was wrong with it" and that it couldn't be fixed. I took it home and removed the back and found that the battery had been improperly inserted and as a result the plastic retaining ring around the mechanism had been broken. I took it out and gently super glued it, replaced it in the watch and properly inserted the battery. It now works fine. I will NEVER go there again. read more
