Still going 4 stars but I want to note three things for people. If you want more detail, look at my previous review 1) They REALLY need to do something about the flies on the patio. We were constantly swatting them away this past friday evening. 2) you order everything inside and the doors to the patio stick because of local humidity. There is no "table service". You order at the counter where the T-shirts are hanging and then they text you when it's ready 3) to be honest, the food is good, if a little unremarkable. Across two visits, we've had a couple pizzas, the pork sliders and pretzel-bread sticks, and it's all been enough to quell your appetite. This last time our sliders had meat that was a bit tough and the honey mustard for the pretzel-bread sticks wasn't good. It hadn't gone bad, there was just nothing good about it. read more

It was a cute spot. I went for a friend's birthday. It's an open space with picnic table sitting areas. You're able to bring food, games, and additional seating. The bartenders were friendly. The drinks I tried were good - very light and not too strong. There were separate areas you can book indoors, outdoors and in tents. I went to check out the new speakeasy at Fallen Oak. I don't believe they have a page yet. We had a great experience! We were seated immediately and given prompt attention. The bartender was new. We loved our food and drinks- the crab dip, Greekin flatbread, and the Smokestak flatbread. For drinks, I got the Maryland mule which I loved, and the grapefruit crush which was also a hit. The space is atleast 4x larger and the beers were excellent! The service of the staff are on point as they keep the entire area very clean. Met up with friends at the main brewery building today - we enjoyed the stout and a hot toddy, as well as the veggie platter. It's nice to have lots of food options - pizza is made on site if you want something more substantial. Lots of protected seating options that don't require a reservation and the heaters were going full blast, but it's still a good idea to bring a coat. Fire pit and tent seating outside requires a reservation. Cute holiday decorations too! Bathrooms are spacious and clean. The new distillery building is open now too! read more

Loved the grounds, beer and ambiance at Lone Oak. The staff were all friendly and there was a nice playground where my granddaughter could play. I took off 1 star for the cold pork BBQ sliders, missing chips and missing beer cheese dip. We loved our visit to Lone Oak Farm Brewing Company! The hubs was celebrating his birthday and we wanted to do something a little different. I found Lone Oak on Yelp and we planned a visit. Upon arrival, we were pretty impressed with the amount of space that was available at the farm. They have ample parking and ample seating that's either covered at the main building or picnic tables in the field. It looks like the covered seating goes quickly, so get there early if you want to be seated in that area. Apparently the tents and seating around the fire pits require reservations and a fee. We came into the main building and ordered 2 flights, so we could get a feel of all the beers. They have a massive amount of beer options, but luckily, our bartender walked us through them. We found seating at a picnic table on the massive grounds. Some people brought their own tents and set them up, others brought their own chairs and blankets. They also have a playground for the kiddos. Dogs are welcomed, on leashes, of course. We stayed for a while and had some really great beer and had some not so great beer. Probably would've stayed longer, but the sun was beating on my head. Kind of wish the picnic tables had umbrellas. At any rate, we had a great visit and the staff were very helpful/friendly. I've been to Lone Oak NUMEROUS times. I was surprised to see that I hadn't left a review quite yet. The most recent time I went was for a friends birthday. We grabbed a picnic table in the back and set up a little spread of foods and what not. And then went and ordered drinks from the bar. The quality at Lone Oak is consistent, but in the drinks, and the quick and efficient service. That day they were literally holding the ribbon cutting for their new Whiskey Bar building called Fallen Oak, which houses a speakeasy inside. Lone Oak, uniquely, has these teepees set up that you can rent for you and your friends. It's a different experience that I could see myself doing for a special occasion. I've had their whiskey before, they've been serving it at their bar prior to the building opening, and their old fashioned was ON POINT. The space at Lone Oak is enormous. There's plenty of spaces you're able to rent out for events. They usually have a food truck there serving out food, but they also service out pizza, pretzels, and a few other things from the tap room. Overall, definitely one of the nicer and more put together breweries in our area. And their beers have won a handful of awards as well. Great time!! Didn't get a chance to try the food however, it looked delicious. The service was impeccable. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive which always goes a long way. Today was my first time trying this establishment and I would 100% come back. The ambiance was great. It was a typical brewery aesthetic on gorgeous grounds with great views as you will see in my pictures. They had different option where you could sit such as right outside the tap room, in the grass near the lake and in tents. They are very dog friendly and they allow you to bring lawn chairs as well. The beer was great. I purchased a flight which I tried the Amber Lager, Long Oak Lager, Haystack, Groove it, and The Shandy. My favorite was the LOL and Haystack. They both had great taste. This brewery also has a distillery that I will try the next time I visit. If you live in Olney or Gaithersburg I would 100% recommend visiting. read more

Not a beer person but I'll do hard cider and this place has great options! First came here years ago for a Yelp check in to check out event. Recently came for a Moco Terps event. Our group had some tables in one area. It was a bit chilly. I saw some guests with blankets. It was also trivia night. I tried the Rose hard cider and it was good. They have happy hour! There's a small food menu but there are sometimes food trucks. The outdoor space is nice with tents and firepits available for rent in advance. The staff is friendly. Parking isn't an issue. Lone Oak hosted a birthday party for us in their Brewer's Lounge (capacity 25 max). It was a beautiful room, fully furnished and spread out enough for our guests to be completely comfortable and be able to mingle in various groups throughout. We set up everything with Melissa, who answered all of our questions, and had the pleasure of dealing with Abby (their Coordination Manager) and Justin (our server for the night). Abby and Justin were amazing, answering my last minute questions when we got there and being completely on top of serving everyone throughout the event. There are other areas that they rent out with higher capacity which we will consider if we ever need that. All of their beer and mixed drinks were delicious, and we ordered the corn dip (everyone raved about it). Excellent facility, great staff, lots of fun - I highly recommend them! read more

Staff were knowledgeable and friendly. I came with a group for a private party. The hosts reserved an enclosed room with high wooden ceilings and string lights. A private bartender poured drinks from the tap and offered samples if you weren't sure what to order. I enjoyed their tropical hard seltzer. It was fairly light, fruity, and not too sweet. Lone Oak Brewing Company is one of those quintessential breweries that you have to visit. Part farm, part brewery this establishment has its roots steeped in pre-civil war history. The name derives from their beloved 100+ year old oak tree that tragically and unexpectedly collapsed. The tree will live on, by being repurposed to make tables, chairs and other resources to support the brewery. The highlight of the experience for me was hanging out in the yurt on the grounds. A waiter is assigned to each yurt so you can order food such as a pizza or charcuterie plates. Beer can also be requested, making it super convenient for your party to never leave the comfort of the yurt. Not a big fan of beer? We were here in the evening of St.Patricks day. The place was absolutely packed. It's a huge place so plenty of seating areas indoors as well as outdoors. They have kids play area and party space. My friends live pretty close to the brewery so we decided to check it out after visiting them. We ordered house lager and green beer which was made specifically for St.Patricks day. This was my first time at this brewery, but I doubt it will be my last. A group of friends and myself came here on a Saturday - it's a beautiful property, and they had a guitarist playing live music. Indoor seating is first come, first serve. There is also outdoor seating available at firepits and in tents, which require reservations. This brewery is kid and pet-friendly, as they have a huge outdoor lawn and playground area. We reserved an outdoor tent for our group of 4. They're surprisingly spacious inside, and can hold up to 8 people. They also have larger tents that can hold up to 12. The thing I liked most about this reservation is that you have your own personal server. So we were able to order food, drinks, and flights and have them brought directly to our tent. Lone Oak also has games up at the front at no cost that you can take and use at your table or tent. I think that was a really nice touch and made our experience that much more enjoyable. The pretzels with the beer cheese were my favorite snack, and while I'm not much of a beer drinker, their hard seltzers were tasty as well. What a beautiful place to spend a nice afternoon with friends and few beers. It's a large outdoor space with tables, tents and fire pits as well as indoor/outdoor seating. It's first come first serve for tables but you can bring chairs and tents and hang out. The beer selection is vast and varied from IPA, Lagers and seasonal there are options for everyone. There were two food trucks but you can also get snacks from their bar. We had pretzels with beet cheese and they were great. We've been to a few of Montgomery Counties beer farms but this is our new favorite. They even allow you to bring your own food unlike some of their competitors. Visited Lone Oak for the first time today. They had a Cars & Brews event going on. We got there an hour after they opened and the parking lot was already packed with many people inside ordering drinks. They offer mobile ordering if you didn't want to wait in line and plenty of seatings inside and out. Didn't get to stay long enough to check out all the outdoor area but the inside looked very cozy and picnics tables outside were very spread out.
