Loveeeeeeeed Babycat! Cute story, cozy space, great food. The smash burger was delicious, fries were fine not amazing. I tried a non alcoholic beer that was very good. It was so nice to enjoy the food and drink outside! Love that the train goes right above.

Awesome neighborhood brewery - we had the raspberry wheat and a stout. Comfy outdoor seating options with a mix of sun and shade, and things for the littles to do. Parking is extremely limited. We'll be back!

I checked out babycat in Kensington on a Friday night and it was a good time! The place is very family oriented with a small kids playground, dogs, and even had live Irish music! The beer itself tasted great, but the cocktails were a little hit or miss the ratios weren't very consistent between drinks. Prices also felt a bit on the higher side for what you get. Still, if you're looking for a fun, family and dog friendly brewery with good beer and a nice environment, Babycat is worth a visit.

Good little brewery tucked away by the railroad. Friendly, affable staff and great service, generally. It'd be helpful if they had more than one register or card reader, particularly when it gets busy. The brewery hosts trivia on Wednesdays which I appreciate. The ambience is generally good; people behave themselves, but I haven't been there during stroller park season yet. The food truck is amazing. Rocky and his staff turn out great smash burgers rather quickly considering the volume of orders. Lastly, the beer, IMO is just...ok. There's nothing particularly head turning but there is a decent variety. I find lesser versions of styles I like here, but, combined with the aforementioned vibe, food service, and location, still makes for a good visit.

Awesome - how did I not know about this place before? Great beer, but they also have fantastic cocktails. The Pineapple Express was super. The outdoor space is so lovely, with plenty of shade and fans. The server was very nice as well. Plus live music??? Fabulous.

Such a great, upbeat  local brewery! Kids friendly, welcoming staff, and live music. As a cat lady, I was initially drawn to this place after seeing "Cat" in their name. And, I'm glad I finally visited here with my partner who also loves cats and beer. The weekend afternoon was a bit busy, but you could still find a seat and enjoy beers. A hipster, fun, cat-themed atmosphere. They have various types of beers, so I'm sure you can find the one you like. Also, I liked the cat-inspired names of each beer. Oats Malone (nitro oat ale) was creamy and rich. Calico was a bit malty and smooth. There are some food options like pizza. The price is decent, not crazy expensive. We'd love to come back and try more beers!

Nice brewery in the area with plenty of outside space and good food truck set up outside . They have different events during the week as well. They had trivia night when I went there and it was a very pleasant time .

What a wonderful find in Kensington. This is an awesome spot with plenty of beer options and a purrrfect amount of cat flair. While the spot is very kid-friendly, BabyCat has an adults-only balcony. The service was quite exceptional bc the beertender was very chatty and provided plenty of information about the brews when necessary. Also, the bar patrons were pretty friendly. BabyCat seems like a place where you can visit alone and spark up a conversation with a couple of strangers. I hope to visit again in the near future and try more of what BabyCat has to offer.

Beer, service, ambiance was all great! We were visiting our daughter from California and wish there were places like this there. Such a fun & chill vibe!

There is such an array of wine here from many different regions with a range of price points. Also, the back and sides of the store are lined with cold beverages, mostly alcoholic but a few good mixers as well. The gentleman at the check-out was really nice as well, but it may have been because he was hitting on me. He offered to wrap the bottles of wine up festively and even tied little bows on the bottles with green and red yarn. Nice! Overall, convenient location with easy parking and plenty of alcoholic delights!

I originally stopped by to get a drink, but I ended up trying the caserito, which was sort of a combo meal. This meal included a delicious soup, a beer filet, beans, rice, and a small salad. It was quite the meal for only $14 bucks. I do not remember the name of the bean-based soup, but it was out of this world delicious. For $14 bucks, I thought the portions were quite generous. This place has so many little tidbits for living the good life, they could rename it 'Good Life…read moreStation' or 'Good Life Company' -- for the company you will keep, and how this company keeps you ... fed, nourished, and I might even say acknowledged! I found the staff to be impressively knowledgeable and encouraging. I got a small bottle of a beautiful, snowy sake in a frosted blue bottle, an Italian spritzer-type thing, a boxed Merlot -- never tried such a thing before! -- and a sour cherry lambic-like drink, plus smoked Gruyere for later pizza-making, lavender-herb easily spreadable goats' milk cheese, and a selection of olives, feta, pickled red and green peppers and lemon in one handy-dandy small and portable, easy-to-use box! I really lived it up with these items out on the porch at home later .... I greatly enjoyed my meal of Beet and Grilled Apricot salad with creamy cilantro dressing (substitute for vinaigrette), and candied pecans -- all so very mmm! I love beets and must get almost any beet salad that may potentially come my way -- and here, I had two to choose from! The one I got was a special so not always available. The peaches in it were hard enough that they didn't mush-n-gush all over. They were easy to pick up with a fork and bite without them splashing or sliding all oozy-goozy- all over the place, and they had the nice dark marks of grilling right on them, visibly, for proof of having been grilled! That was fun to see. My dining partner had the fish tacos and apparently, those were very good. The table service was really nice, friendly, professional, skilled, and knowledgeable. I wouldn't say the food was exactly prepared swiftly but I also wasn't paying attention so I'm not sure -- because I was too busy browsing and purchasing items in the adjoining store to notice when the food even arrived. I wasn't there, but buying my deliciousness-to-go! What a wonderful time-saver! It was not too loud when I was there, the sunlight was streaming in the rather large windows, and I had a great time looking at the nice lighting fixtures, perusing goods, speaking with staff, and of course eating my most delicious salad! All-around highly recommended on all fronts -- or at least all the ones I tried -- comprising both the dining and shopping experiences ....

The beer itself is quite good, and the bathrooms are clean. No complaints there. The issue is atmosphere, or the lack of it. Service was efficient and accurate, but the bartenders ranged from detached to noticeably unfriendly, which doesn't exactly set the mood. There was a live band the night I visited, and they were good. They were clearly trying to get something going, but it just didn't take. Part of that may be the crowd, which I realize a brewery can't fully control. But it's a strange fit for the location. Seven Locks sits in an industrial park in a more modest part of Rockville, and the clientele skews heavily toward families who've come with kids, tablets, and dogs, and who aren't particularly interested in talking to anyone they didn't arrive with. There's nothing wrong with that, but it doesn't make for a lively bar experience. The result is a place that has the ingredients for something great but feels oddly joyless in practice. I'll probably try it again hoping something clicks, but right now it's a hard place to love.
