Came here between lunch and dinner. I had 1.5 hrs to kill and wanted something small, so decided to try 168 Asian Burritos. Tiny little place. Walked into this hidden spot in the gas station and was met by the owners (I think); they were very nice and let me sample the black milk tea and the Jasmine green milk tea. I liked the Jasmine milk tea better; also allowed to select the sugar level. It was a good size and the price was cheaper than most boba teas. I also ordered the Taiwanese chicken, which was white meat yeah! That came with a sweet chili sauce but it didn't need the sauce. They were perfectly fried and seasoned. I was very happy with the chicken and the boba tea. In fact, I went to pick up my daughter nearby and when she opened the car door she says "OMG it smells so good in here". I had saved a couple of nuggets for her to try and she really liked them too. I can't wait to come back to try one of their bigger meals. read more

On a recent visit, I only got a few side orders. Both of which I have had before and have enjoyed. Sides: *Chicken Salad Sandwich (S5 on the menu). This was my first time not having anything removed from the sandwich and I am so glad I finally did that. Seems I have been missing out. The bread is toasted lightly. On the inside of the sandwich is a well sized amount of chicken salad, tomato (sliced), lettuce, onion, and celery. I usually get those last 2 removed, but not this time. The sandwich is cut in half and the way it is placed in the to-go container, it does not make the bread soggy in any way. I love it. This sandwich continues to be a great one. Always filing and I enjoyed every bit of it - very tasty too. As I write this, I would love to have it again, with everything in it. * Taiwanese Salt & Pepper Wings (S7 on the menu) Ever since I tried these last Summer, I find myself gravitating towards them more. 4 plump pieces (not tiny at all) and the seasoning is on point. Fantastic food - I usually get the raw salmon bowl or the burrito. The sushi burrito is huge and surprisingly a good value as well. Bowl always has more but I prefer the burrito for the form factor and the nori. I wish they chose a different green instead of iceberg lettuce which is too plain and tasteless. I would love some arugula, spinach, or other mixed greens! The fish is so fresh and the sauces are always delicious. They're known for their Asian burritos, where your choice of meat, rice, veggies & tempura crisps are all wrapped in seaweed. My favorites are the raw tuna & raw salmon burritos ($13.25 each). Each comes with a different sauce. I recommend eating them right away, because they can get soggy as the sauce softens the seaweed & takes away the crunch from the crisps. They serve the best sushi burritos in the DMV - the ratios are perfect. The owners are this lovely Taiwanese couple. The food was good but way too sweet! Today I stopped in for the First time and I'll give the place another chance after this but not the same items. I got the bun combo with popcorn chicken, fried tofu and the pork belly. All 3 buns were too sweet and I would definitely ask for the buns to either be quarter sweetened. Even half sweet would be too sweet. The fried chicken bun was good and for size it might very be the best one. Decent filling. The fried tofu could've been disguised as pork belly and I wouldn't have known. Great texture and flavor but again, too sweet. The pork belly was a disappointment for both size and flavor. The normally melts in your mouth meat that I'm used to was covered up by too much sugar. I really wanted that flavor and would even say no sugar for the pork belly. It's a great place inside of a gas station so you have to look for the right place but it's not the worst I've been to and it's really worth trying. This place has the best buns I have ever had! I love them and seek them out when I travel. Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Santa Barbara, DC, as well as other places around the DC area. These are the best. I like the Pork Belly and Sausage buns best. The sausage is homemade, not frozen store bought. The shrimp tempura is crispy and what you expect. My buddy had the chicken and enjoyed it. Haven't tried the tofu but I bet it is good too. I haven't tried their burritos because I fill up on the buns. The Boba tea is what you expect. The staff is very friendly. If you have questions, just ask. There is a slight language barrier but they really want to help and will do their best to help you get what you want. They even provided details about other Taiwanese food that they don't offer. Don't be surprised if you can't find the restaurant from the road. We got a sushi burrito, Taiwanese fried chicken nuggets, pork belly gua bao, beef noodle soup. Amazing. All of it. I'm so picky about gua bao - I even have gone out of my way to try a Michelin-recommended gua bao stand, and I can tell you this one was not that far from it at all. I'd actually prefer this one! The beef noodle soup was perfect. The daikon flavor was spot on, the beef was just the right tenderness, and the soup was perfect. Micro restaurants inside gas station convenience stores have become quite a thing. This one is particularly micro, only four bar stools up at the counter. And not very comfortable ones at that - this really is a no frills place. However, the service is friendly and the food comes out fast. My dining companion was thrilled with her fried tofu bun and yuzu salad. I was supposed to share the salad, but I found it unapproachable, crammed as it was into a too small container. My teriyaki chicken sushi burrito (wrapped in seaweed with sushi rice) was also stuffed overly full, and was impossible to eat without the whole thing falling apart. Although the sushi rice was excellent, I just couldn't enjoy it. At the end, we were given a plastic bag for our trash and asked to dump it in the garbage can outside. So I don't know. One of us was thrilled, the other not. I will let you decide if it's your thing. read more

A true hidden gem! Although located randomly in a gas station, don't be fooled by the exterior because the food here is delicious. Looks like a small operation with everything made to order as the three employees with all busy multitasking getting orders in. While there was no wait to order, food took about 15 minutes because they were also fulfilling a bunch of delivery app orders. I ordered the 3 bun combo (shrimp tempura, pork belly, popcorn chicken), a bulgogi burrito, and korean fried chicken all for to go. The buns were definitely the star of the show. They add this pickled veggie mix along with the protein and it complemented all the various proteins I had perfectly. The shrimp tempura and popcorn chicken had a perfect crisp while the pork belly was so tender. While I loved all three, I would rank them int he order as listed. The fried chicken had that perfect crisp with tender meat on the inside and the flavor hit the spot. Each wing is HUGE and I ended up saving a good 3/4 of the portion as leftovers. As for the burrito, nothing too fancy about it and is probably best to pass compared to their other options. Prices are very reasonable for the amount of food they give you. Wish I lived a closer so I could frequent this place often but most definitely will find a way to get back here soon for those buns! read more

This place is a little gem nestled in a busy Olney central area with over 30 restaurants around. It's located in a Convenient Mart in Exxon gas station. Menu is not huge but good enough. From various Asian rice bowls, burritos to sandwiches, wings & Bubble teas. Everything is delicious and the portion is generous. My favorite is the various chicken rice bowls & raw salmon bowl. The only thing that's different about this sushi burrito than the other places is that they don't have imitation crab as an optional topping. If you wanted that, then you'll have to pay 5 dollars to add it on as another "meat". And they put a lot of salad in the burrito so it almost tastes like a salad. Too much lettuce in it and that made it a little watery. The sauce was good but not as flavorful as I had expected. Otherwise the rice and veggies were fresh and paired well in the rice bowl. The bao buns are the star of this place. Each bun was flavorful, had a good portion of meat, and paired well with the pickled veggies and peanut powder. I bookmarked this spot for years, just don't have motivation to go since I don't have a gas car. Well, I have missed out a lot of good meals for years! I went there last week for the first time after 3 years of bookmarking this spot since it's very close to my home. Iykyk this area have more chained Asian restaurants and barely any Taiwanese style food here. It's because I finally can't think of anywhere to get lunch, I finally decided to give it a try. I walked in the front door of the store of the gas station and it's right in front of me, with a big menu which I am sure no one can miss. Staff welcomed me once I approached. I ordered and not long another customer came in to pick up her order. Then I realized they offer online orders and there were at least 3 bags on the table waiting for pick up! It's a hit spot for locals for sure. Only took about 7 mins to get my order, I ordered black pepper chicken burrito with a bubble milk tea. BOTH ARE GREAT. The burrito is quite messy to eat since it's pretty big and even it's well packed, rice and seaweed is just not a great wrapper for such big amount of meat and vegs. However the taste is really good, black pepper chicken flavored well, vegs are very fresh, the rice is warm and the overall is very wholesome and filling. Bubble milk tea actually have black sugar in it! It's the Taiwanese traditional flavor milk tea (which is heavier on the milkiness, and a bit less strong of tea), and the tapioca bubbles are perfectly cooked and sweet! I am so glad I finally tried them and putting this in my regular spot to go to. I regret not going sooner! What I noticed is that most people ordered the bowl (kind of fair, the amount seems to be bigger and the photos online is legit what it looks like in reality!!!), and so I will definitely try it next time. Burrito is great but for easier to consume and possibly larger portion with the same price, bowl might be even better! The burritos and rice bowls contain lettuce, cucumber, carrot, avocado, corn, edamame and tempura flakes. I was surprised that it was a good portion for a reasonable price. No issues with the raw salmon and it was delicious. The black tea boba was ok, nothing special but it hit the spot on a hot day. It's more of a takeout location, since it is a gas station. So this is smaller than a hole in a wall. It's just a portion of a gas station. You do not come here to sit and eat and you are not seeking to impress. Get your expectations in check. It's in the gas station next to Dunkin/McDonald's. Very limited parking. It took me a loop around because my GPS didn't know where it was. Now that the logistics is out of the way, the food here is decent. Not amazing, but for the price, it's pretty good. It's as much as a chipotle burrito, but it is fried and prepped right in front of you and everything is as fresh as it can be. They do have some seating inside, but I found it odd to sit there so I didn't partake. The people here are nice and smiled a bunch. The inside is a gas station place and it's pretty small. My friends and I have been coming here for years. Its a quick service order to go spot for Asian fusion sushi burritos or bowls. Its located inside of a gas station and parking is limited. I stopped by recently and placed a fairly large order. Wait time was around 25 minutes for 6 items. Prices are reasonable and I like the selection here. We ordered everything from the tuna + salmon sushi burritos. For the rice bowls, we ordered the basil chicken, tempura shrimp and black pepper beef. Each burrito is packed with avocado, lettuce, cucumber, carrots, corn and edamame. Food is prepped in front of you and the staff was so friendly. A family hidden gem restaurant/location. This place is situated inside an ExxonMobil gas station. We arrived around 7:30pm, which is 30 minutes before closing. They informed us they had very little rice left, however, we still ordered the beef bulgogi burrito. The burrito was well portioned and had great flavor. The winter melon bubble tea I ordered was good and not too sweet, I didn't even have to ask them to adjust the sweetness level like I usually do at boba chains. There are about 6 high-top seats, so I would expect to take the food home to eat. We'll go back earlier in the day to try their other items! read more

All freshly prepared and cooked to order. This go around I tried the Shrimp Tempura Bao Bun, which was delicious. That soft, sweetened bun paired with the crispy shrimp, crushed peanuts, and slaw had me dancing in my seat. The fries with chili sauce were quite tasty too, dusted in some sort of a Chinese 5 spice blend seasoning. And of course the Beef Bulgogi is always appetizing. Finally made my way over to 168 Asian Burritos after all the talk I have been hearing throughout the yelp community about this spot. It is on the Top 25 places to eat in the MD Burbs Bucket List for 2022! We ordered a variety of items: a salmon sushi burrito, a beef bulgogi bowl, wings, shrimp tempura bao bun, and a lemonade boba. I expected the sushi burrito to be good since it is basically in the name but was not expecting every item that we ordered to be complete perfection! Everything is made with the freshest ingredients from the seafood to the vegetables. I was especially shocked with how good the wings were. For our boba drink they did not skimp out of the boba bubbles! The lemonade was very flavorful with real ingredients added instead of syrupy flavoring. I absolutely loved my beef bulgogi bowl! It is a perfectly balanced meal. Recommend ordering ahead and picking up. It is in a gas station it is not the place to dine in. A must check out spot! But at the same time... it makes it a TINY bit hard to get a full bite with all of the goods. Also, I had a little trouble keeping it together as I ate it. So I would recommend a plate to catch any delicious things that drop out, and then plan to eat a side of pokè salad after your burrito ;) Would I order it again? I want to order it right now. However, for the overall experience, I wouldn't go here again if I'm out with others. There is no dining facility, so 15$ total (including tip) for a burrito is on the pricier side. It's pretty big with lots of fresh veggies. Fried food doesn't always travel well, and it was a little soggy, but still really flavorful. Ambiance sketchy - it's inside a gas station - reminds me of the commercial that says it's a bad idea but OH, it's a bad idea totally worth it. I tried to sample a little of everything but didn't want to overdo it so I'll be back for the other things.
