We were hoping for all the Jimmy Buffet vibes, but only a couple Jimmy Buffet songs were on, then station was changed. The airplane is currently under refurbishment and should be returning at some point next year, which should help the vibes. Horrible service!!!! We walked in and sat down, no server in site. The girl visited us once (didn't bring menus), and my husband ordered a water while I looked at the menu I grabbed from another table. The waitress NEVER returned and waited on two tables that had walked in after us, brought them their drinks, brought other tables their food, and went back to the bar - and ignored us. When we travel to Florida we always try to find a place to spend our afternoons relaxing in the sun while getting some work done. We found another great place in Lone Palm Airport. Sitting in Island chairs with sand at your feet, sun on your face, good music, and a cold drink in your hand is a great way to spend the day. Having spent multiple afternoons there, we ended up with a regular server, Juli. She was the perfect server, attentive, friendly, and just the right level of attention as we sat for hours during their slow time. I can't remember how many Rum Runners I had that week but I enjoyed every single one while my wife fell in love with the Bama Mama, both frozen drinks. This is my favorite bar in CityWalk and one of my must stops when I'm there. It's a smaller, outdoor bar and easily recognized by the airplane set up in the area which was one that Jimmy Buffet had flown. The bartenders and servers here always seem to be on top of their game and are helpful. They serve small bites that I believe come from Margaritaville across the path. Drinks are on the pricy side, but that's pretty common for theme parks. The atmosphere here is laid back and it's very relaxing and fun to set up here and look across the water or people watch. It's perfect when there's nice weather. They don't seem to stay open as late as some of the other places, which is unfortunate, but it's still a great spot to stop and have a drink or two during an evening at CityWalk. read more

It's part of Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville restaurant across the way and you can even order off the menu there. What could be better on a nice afternoon than to sit under to wing of Jimmy's retired seaplane and drink a margarita or two. The reviews were pretty spot on. Healthy pour for drinks, excellent food, and pricier but not unexpected. The conch fritters were pretty bomb. We've never had them before, but really enjoyed them. The pretzels were good and the nacho cheese was pretty standard. We did not enjoy the mustard they came with. Our server was pretty awesome; one of the best we've had actually. She sold us on everything we tried and nailed her suggestions. We ordered the mango margarita, five o'clock somewhere, zombie, crab cakes, and Cuban sandwich. Pretty impressed with the rest as well. This outdoor bar is situated across from Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville. It is a full bar, that also serves some light snacks (i.e. hotdogs, nachos, and wings). On their menu they have quite a few signature mixed drinks (frozen and on the rocks). On New Years Day we had gone to City Walk to meet some friends who wanted to try Emeril's. While the friends were finishing their last ride in Universal we decided to order a drink at the Lone Palm. My husband ordered a Rum Runner, it was around 8.95$ and I think had more ice than drink...but it was good none the less. I at first ordered something called a Havana Banana which had a lot of rum and banana and coconut liquor. The drink was frozen, and maybe this is where my mistake was...it tasted like nothing but ice. It was like drinking a flavorless Slurpee. We quickly alerted our server, and she had the bartender remake the drink. The second one was a bit better, but still did not have any flavor. The waitress who was SUPER nice made me a different drink on our third try which was a major improvement...I think it may have been called a "cocoloco" (also around 8.95$). Either way it was on the rocks and way better. Overall, the service I experienced was great, but I definitely will stay away from frozen drinks here. read more
