went to lone pine roasters in bend the other day for coffee at the coffee place. real good situation. these folks know coffee in a way that makes a guy wonder if the beans went to college. ordered a latte and the person behind the counter started explaining notes and origins and elevation and stuff. nodded like i understood. tasted great though so something worked. also got avocado toast which is basically toast with avocado but in a professional way. real solid. then someone said "you gotta try the liege waffle." first of all i thought they said "leg waffle." which raised questions. turns out it's belgian i think. sweet little waffle brick with sugar in it. very serious waffle. staff there really know what they're doing with coffee and waffles and toast and probably other breakfast technologies. felt like a place where if the espresso machine broke five people would fix it immediately while explaining acidity levels. place is great. nice view. good coffee. confusing waffle name but worth it. would give 6 stars if allowed by the system anyway if someone says "want coffee in bend" this is the coffee place i am pointing at. read more

Stopped in for some mid-day caffeine and really enjoyed it. Nice looking place, staff were super friendly, and I really enjoyed my iced vanilla latte. I sat on the patio under a shade and it was just a lovely experience. I'd definitely return. read more

Met a friend there at noon on a weekday. Love that they have gf stuff but by that point in the day they only had chocolate chip cookies, ginger cookies, and their black banana bread that I tried at the other location and didn't like. So I guess this is just a note to myself and other gf ppl that you should plan to get there much earlier in the day. read more

A gem! Wonderful atmosphere only made better by the friendly staff that really "aim to please!" They have gluten free options, which I need, and really fun coffees and teas. Start with the good: very vibey, music typically isn't too loud, great seating options, good pastries! Now to the things that dock stars: the WiFi is pretty painfully bad. It's really hard to work at lone pine because of how horrible the WiFi connection is. Takes twice as long to do anything online. I've been here multiple times and it is a repeat offense. The employees are not particularly kind nor passionate about the art of coffee. I love going to a shop with a true coffee culture where baristas can really explain the best things to offer and what they are, etc. It really adds to the experience when baristas are passionate about the coffee but it's not a huge deal I guess. There is one guy who is very friendly, so I'll give it that :) The coffee is good. I haven't tried much but so far I haven't had something that blows me away. It's good though, no qualms. Good job lone pine, but the WiFi is so painful. Will HAPPILY and QUICKLY update the review once the connection is good enough to do so without it being painful, lol. read more

Tried this place today. First off, the inside is pretty gross. It doesn't look like they clean at all. Every chair with a cushion is stained and dirty, and all the table tops are dirty and gross. It doesn't take much to wipe down your table tops. Ordered a hot chocolate and slice of banana bread. The hot chocolate literally tasted like Luke warm, bitter milk. We asked them to remake it, and the second one was barely better, and that's being generous. Dutch bros or Starbucks makes a better hot chocolate which is sad to say. I wanted to like this place really bad, but it just was not good, and like.. how hard is it really to make a hot chocolate..? I give 2 stars mainly because of their banana bread, which was actually really good, so I'll commend them for that, But the service wasn't great, and the drink was just gross. Super cute coffee shop, convenient location right next to On Tap food truck lot. I got the maple latte, it had kind of a strange after taste so it was okay, definitely not the best coffee but I would come back and try something else. They do also serve beer, wine, and kombucha and they carry Foxtail bakery goods which are always delicious. The staff was super friendly and helpful with picking out drinks. I love this place. I'm a bit of a coffee connoisseur and I tend to be picky about presentation and architecture. This place nails it. The only thing I'd change is the milk options. It makes me sad that My wife doesn't like this place and that's because she doesn't drink dairy, and she's allergic to cashews. In my opinion, having only two options is way behind the times we're living in. I believe their intentions are health related, and I appreciate that, but I think there's probably something to be gained by a compromise of some kind. However, I unfortunately could not get a latte or any drink that had alternative milk for the only alternative milk option was almond-cashew milk. I'm sure this is really good, but I am allergic to cashews so I couldn't get my usual latte. I hope they get more alternative milk options so I can comeback! read more

Inconsistent service. The first few times I went I loved this place. Friendly staff, nice ambiance, clean seating. I realized my drink was too sweet though so I asked for less of the flavor the next time I went in. It was the same amount of flavor when I tasted it so when I asked if I could get a little more milk (it wasn't topped off to begin with) to help with the sweetness, I got a comment from the barista that I could ask for less flavor (obviously hadn't gotten the note that I already had). The next two times I went in I asked for half the flavor. Nope. Still the same. So when asked if I could just get a little more milk last time, I was met with an eye roll and a huff. I will say, the waffles and breakfast sandwich are amazing though! I will be returning for those in the future! I'll just be finding coffee elsewhere. read more
