On July 8, 2025, from Lone Star Motor Company, located at 2311 Spencer Hwy, Pasadena, TX 77504. I was told the car had passed a valid Texas state inspection, and I was even given paperwork showing a clean report. Based on that information, I moved forward with the purchase in good faith. Less than 24 hours later, the dashboard lit up with multiple warning lights. Concerned, I took the car to AutoZone for a free diagnostic scan. The results were shocking -- the car failed in multiple areas, filling two full pages of error codes and mechanical issues. This car never should have passed a state inspection. This tells me that either: * The inspection report I was given was fraudulent, or * Lone Star Motor Company knowingly sold a car in unsafe condition while falsely claiming it was road-ready. I contacted the dealership immediately. Instead of helping or offering a refund, they completely refused to take responsibility -- even though I reported the issue within 24 hours of purchase. I am requesting: * A full refund for the vehicle * A formal investigation into this dealership's inspection practices * Action by the Better Business Bureau and consumer protection authorities to hold this business accountable This experience has caused me serious stress, financial strain, and concern for my safety. Ms. Netta King was professional, understanding, and helpful when fixing the codes that appeared on the car before taking the car home. Ms. Netta King keeps in touch with me concerning the repairs on the car. My husbands had questioned the day we picked it up our son's car, and Ms. King called the mechanic, Mr. Daniel, and he tested drove it and hooked it up to the scanner to make sure no codes appeared. This company is very unprofessional and very scamming. The office manager, Crystal, hung up in my face multiple times after trying to communicate with her. I purchased a car from them on March 2nd, my air conditioner was leaking water in the passenger seat and it began to mildew. I called everyday for them to fix my brand new car, and crystal was very rude. it took them 3 WEEKS to fix it and return my car and the air conditioner still was not fixed, so I had to take it to an actual dealership. The owner, Timothy called and threatened me that if I did not pay my car note on time, we would have problems. Luckily, I am no longer in business with this unprofessional establishment. read more

They will be super nice to you while trying to sell you the car, once all the paperwork is done you're no longer a priority for them to be nice to you. We bought our car here & the same day that we got it the engine light turned on & we took it to a nearby AutoZone & turned out that the part that was wrong would cost us $700+ so we called the dealer & the guy who answered said he would talk to his boss. We never got a call back so we called again the next day & they were being super rude about it. The guy said his boss couldn't do anything about it because they had given us the car for a " cheaper price " keep in mind we payed 4k upfront for the down payment & we were told they would cover any problems with the car for up to 30 days which they did NOT keep their word. Purchased a vehicle 2 MONTHS AGO... We still haven't received our new state inspection or license plates. We called - they couldn't tell us when they will be in saying there's a delay out of their hands. Now we have to drive 3 hours to get another temporary paper plate that they think will take us through another 45 days. No credit to us or reimbursing for the inconvenience - Just running around and wasted gas/time/miles- So our vehicle can stay on the road. I'm not sure why everyone is giving this dealership such a bad name. We had a great experience. We dealt with ALEX as our sales man. He was very nice, straight to the point and helped us get into a truck my husband wanted. He went above and beyond to help us stick within our budget a month as well. This is a good place and helps anyone that is looking for a truck or a car . We put a low down payment and also have a low monthly payment. We recommend anyone looking for a vehicle to speak with Alex he is very thorough and explains the whole process. Best part is NO CREDIT CHECK. Not really one place I would go too to purchase another used vehicle. We put 2,000 down on my husbands truck and then had to put another 700 which we were told it was for tax title and license and then when the plates came in we were asked to pay an additional 70.00 bc it was prorated. They talk to fast and then do not explain everything you are signing. I should have listened to my gut not my husband that day. They need to be upfront with people and stay on topic instead of trying to talk you all over the place and have you sign crap and not explain. Yes it is my fault for signing but I buy from dealerships we needed something to pull our horses. I will not buy my sons first vehicle from here that is for sure.
