Wish I could give them 10 stars!! Best price in town! Most importantly Scott was amazing to work with! His team was polite, efficient and such a help at our party!! The fact that one of the owners was apart of the crew on the day of our event really impressed us! Service was amazing, food was delicious and the presentation was beautiful!! Wish we took more photos!! We also had chopped steak, chicken , veggies and garlic mashed potatoes. So yummy!!

Nice, country restaurant. Salads are brought to the table with your drinks! The sweet tea here is perfect! We ordered an appetizer of onion rings. They were a little greasy. My wife ordered the grilled salmon on rice pilaf with a side of grilled green beans. She said her meal was good (would've have like a slice of lemon on her fish but they were out). I ordered the 16oz sirloin cooked medium. I think it came more in the medium well to well range. It was a tasty and tender steak. My baked potato was a little over cooked. The service was very good. Our total check was $53. *This is a good local steakhouse, not where to come if you are visiting Texas and are looking for that great steak experience!

Lone Star Special with grilled mushrooms and grilled green beans Steak was cooked absolutely perfect and was so delicious!

A great place for dinner. Try the ribeye for two and the 18 oz beer. We had a great time.

We love Lone Star. We get takeout about twice a month. The ribeye for two is our favorite. They have huge hamburgers that our son loves!

I ordered fried shrimp with fries. Food was cold and the fries were soggy. Not very happy with the food but service was good.

Food was okay. Steaks are not grilled but pan fried. Fried pickles were wonderful. Dirty utensils under our table.

Of course there were some beers that we ordered but did not like. However we found a couple that we throughly enjoyed. We even took a couple cans home! The food was amazing! The pretzel was a little inconsistent, crunchy in some areas and super soft in others, but it hit the spot either way. Their garlic fries were definitely garlicky, don't order if you don't like a lot of garlic. The food did not come out together, but we were ok with that. The mushroom burger, grilled cheese, and fish and chips were all delicious! The grilled cheese was even loved by our picky son! The fish was crispy on the outside and so flaky and tender on the inside. The burger may have been frozen, but the mushrooms and Gouda totally made up for that! Good beers, great food, friendly and attentive staff! If we find ourselves in Waco again, we will definitely be stopping by.

Honestly, the only thing I was disappointed by (and the only reason I gave it 3 stars) is the use of ai slop on the menu. Ya'll -- in this day and age, ai slop pictures are only going to hurt you. Go back to whatever menu you had before you made this one, because it sucks.

1 Star We saved this…read morerestaurant for the final night of a trip that took us 1,722 miles from home. After an amazing day exploring Magnolia and Waco, we wanted one last memorable sunset dinner to cap off my wife's dream trip. We arrived around 7:30 PM and were told to grab a drink and wait on the rooftop until our table was ready. Sounds great, right? The problem is nobody ever came back for us. We sat there, ordered wine, enjoyed the view, and patiently waited. No updates. No check-ins. No communication whatsoever. After finishing an entire bottle of wine and wondering why the wait was taking so long, I finally tracked someone down to ask what was happening. The response? "Sorry, we close at 9." That's it. No apology for forgetting us. No effort to seat us. No attempt to make things right. We were simply left sitting on the rooftop until the restaurant closed. I've worked in customer service long enough to understand mistakes happen. But forgetting a table for over an hour and then essentially shrugging your shoulders when they ask what's going on is unacceptable. What should have been a magical final evening of an incredible trip turned into us scrambling to find food elsewhere on our last night in Texas. The rooftop view was nice. The bottle of wine was good. Too bad we never got to try the food.

A great pit stop en route to Dallas…read more Came in hungry and left very happy. I got the daily quiche with fruit and was honestly shocked by how much fruit they give you. It came with this amazing poppyseed dip that made it even better. We also ordered the cheese poppers with jalapeño ranch and definitely underestimated them. They were crispy, curdy, and super addictive. The chicken fried steak was another win. Hand-breaded, flavorful, and covered in their homemade gravy. Straight-up comfort food. Dessert is a must. We got the banana pudding meringue and absolutely demolished it. It's said to be one of the owner's mother's recipes. The atmosphere has a clean 1950s vibe with retro decor and vintage car parts everywhere, which was pretty fun and different. Our server, Cindy, was super friendly and gave great recommendations. Overall, really solid experience. Would definitely come back.

Their hours can be a bit inconvenient if you don't plan accordingly to eat here (open 11AM-2PM). Don't let that stop you for adding them to your Waco vacation plans!
