My main objective was to have the caulking in my Master shower re-done. I called this company and was told it would be a $600 min for him to even come out. That was my first red flag, but I knew I also wanted him to possibly clean my kitchen floor, so I agreed. He came out and did the job. Everything was fine for about a month. The caulking he did in my kitchen started to flake off with normal, every day cleaning. And the caulking in my shower was awful again. Looked like no one ever went in to even treat it at all. He also damaged one of the base boards in my Master bath with the machine he cleaned the floor with. I asked if he was going to re-do the silicone in my shower and he said he normally does not do that (didn't tell me this up front), but that for me, he would come back and do it for free. He was very charming and nice to talk to, but will forget all about you when he's paid. I also wanted him to apply caulking to my upstairs bathroom sinks. He said he had to special order the light almond color that would match from Houston. He called 2 weeks later saying he'd have to get the order from California. At this point, I've lost all faith in this company. I since found the matching color I needed just 2 miles from my home. I never heard back from him at all. The only positive is that I still hadn't been charged for the upstairs bath, so it's fine. But I will never use or trust this company again. read more

Would leave 0 stars if possible. The negative reviews sound accurate. Contacted vendor to clean stained grout on new home build. Marginal job at best but worse than that he left stains all over the new ceramic tile. When I called him a few days later and asked about the stains- he said he didn't know what I was talking about and was the first to complain. I offered to send a photo text but he didn't have a smart phone. He wouldn't come back to investigate my concerns. Told me to use soap and water and a little muscle. Lastly demanded cash only-$3000 Professional service today told me the stains were from his cleaner solution and he was non responsive because he knew it couldn't be repaired. Nice- touts himself as a Veteran. Well maybe but I'm used to honor and truthfulness from the Veterans I know. read more

I had this company come to my house a while ago. The owner came out and did a fair job at a fair price. Then he basically harassed me to leave good comments on three different platform. He told me he would come back and do free caulking work if I left good reviews. Even after I did so he never came back to finish the job. read more

Initially, responsiveness, promptness and professionalism were good. Tile cleaning was fair. Caulking was unsatisfactory. The company owner turned our case over to his son after the job was done. The company owner and son were then unresponsive to our concerns and complaints. We were unable to get them back out to our house to correct the unsatisfactory caulking. read more

Had a couple of issues with grout staining after being sealed. Called Loanstar and a rep was quickly dispatched and cleaned the stains and resealed all the grout. I'm a repeat customer (3rd time today) because Mark and Jeff do such a good job. This is the first time I had them do my carpet and it looks great. Jeff was even able to get out a red wine stain! And of course my tile looks great also. Quality work, fair price, courteous, on-time. What you should expect but sadly this is not how most providers I've dealt with operate. I found Lone Star Tile from their awesome ratings on Angies List. Now, I am not usually impressed enough with the businesses i hire for home repair/maintenance to do a review, but Mark and his team at Lone Star were exceptional. From the initial phone call to the parting handshake at the door after the work, every part of the project was handled with the utmost professionalism, integrity, and excellence. These guys are really good! They even agreed to come out on a Saturday at no extra charge after I had to change the original work date! What I did not know was that the OWNER of the company was who agreed to do the job on a Saturday! They arrived early and were ready to go; they demonstrated their process and let us see what the results would be BEFORE we agreed to pay anything. They finished a little early and gave us extensive recommendations for the care and maintenance of the tile they had just cleaned and sealed but also our tile bathrooms and showers on which they had not even worked. They also left us with enough floor cleaner to keep the tile and grout clean for the next 2 years. I just posted my review to Yelp and i see that all the glowing reviews that were here when i researched this project are gone!!??
