My favorite oil place in DFW! Ryan and the team are very helpful, honest, and quick! I have two vehicles (a foreign car & a domestic pickup truck) and I trust the team with all of my routine maintenance. They are the perfect example of everyone's favorite small town Mom and Pop oil changing spot. They do client appreciation day every month where they give out free BBQ! There's free drinks and snacks in the waiting area all the time, and they have a cheap and useful self-carwash at the back of the business! Easily the best lube and service shop I've been to. Won't take my car anywhere else. My car has a very uncommon oil type (bmw m3 v8) I buy my own oil/filters and what not and and have been turned away before and seen other shops struggle with my car which can be worrisome especially when it comes to engine oil.lol These dudes have been not only quick but very accommodating every time I come in and they really know their stuff. 10/10 read more

These people are the fastest, kindest, and MOST EXCITED(!!!!) lube techs I've ever encountered. They were friendly from jump, the only downside (which wasn't even that) was that they all talk just a little too loud and with the same enthusiasm as a Billy Mays infomercial, but I'm pretty sure that's an occupational hazard. SEXUAL HARRASSMENT! Made inappropriate sexual comments about me while I was there less than 5 minutes or so, and I came in for a state inspection. Tech opened my door and basically just stared and didn't ask me to get out of the car, when I asked if that was what he needed, he then processed to say: "yea, unless you want me to get in between your legs, you need to." This is unacceptable, this is clearly not a business that anyone should be going to, blatant disrespect to me and probably any other women that makes the unfortunate choice to come here. Basic professionalism is nonexistent here. This is vile behavior and that man should lose his job for being unable to control his mouth, like any adult should be able to. DO NOT COME HERE. This happened on 10/20/20 around 5:30pm, there were 3 men in the shop, I was the only other person. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. I went in for a simple service and they ruined my car. I went in for an oil change and had differential fluid applied to front and rear. No less than 15 miles later having my car stop on a ramp off 183 putting me in a very dangerous and scary situation. I had my car towed to the dealership and after they did the diagnosis, determined there was differential fluid placed into the wrong tank. Again, a simple service and they ruined the car and have made my life hell. According to the repair estimate report - "cvt transmission assembly, 10qts cvt fluid and 3pints diff fluid - - the diff is locked up and it looks like they didnt fillup the diff and added the gear oil to the transmission fluid". This has become a troublesome financial issue with their insurance even requiring me to purchase a new battery. read more

They also explained all the details that I needed to know about any maintenance issues that needed to be fixed for my car. Some car shops insist on replacing things that don't really need to be replaced, however, this shop is different. If you have any problems with your car, definitely come here and get it fixed. An otherwise good oil change store that I'll never go to again because of their staff. The first thing they did was to make a point to give me a hard time for wearing a mask. If you only want business from only the minority of the country that wants to live in fantasy land that there actually isn't a global pandemic, have at it. Been going here for a least 3 years. They take the best care of my car. I see them for my oil changes, but they also make sure fluids underneath the hood are topped off and watch if they aren't, which leads to a leak and they will let you know. They look out for your filters and make sure your car is top quality without breaking the bank. Very knowledgeable mechanics. read more

I wish I could give more than 5 stars. They did an oil change and inspection a few months back and provided fantastic service and were very friendly and professional and honest. Instead of giving me a long list of needed work for my 2008 Jeep they said it looked good, well maintained. Mentioned a few possible things that may come up in the future but nothing much. Today I was in North Dallas & had car problems. I pulled into the nearest place to get it checked out and was given a super high estimate for repairs, then scare tactics about how my steering/brakes/water pump could go out on the drive home if I didn't get it fixed there immediately. Wasn't buying it & immediately thought of how great & honest the guys at Lone Star were. Got there right at closing time on a Friday afternoon & even though they don't do extensive repairs they took a look, gave there thoughts & recommended a couple of fair mechanics. They also told me how to research the range of prices for parts for the jeep. I knew the first place was trying to capitalize on my lack of knowledge of auto mechanics. They know my vehicle very well and take great care of it. As a regular, they immediately recognize me. Not only are they extremely trustworthy and courteous they also are quick. They care about making sure things are done right and do a thorough check of your vehicle to assure it is roadworthy. It's a smaller shop which suits me just fine. DO NOT RECOMMEND GETTING ANY SERVICE DONE AT THIS PLACE. They will overcharge at the end of your bill without notification before hand. I went to get an oil change service and asked about the oil and filter, I was told right upfront at the counter by the service attendant that the price was 68.99 for full synthetic Amsoil which was what I wanted. Well, when the service was completed, I receive a bill for $115 because they decided to use another oil and a filter that cost an extra $25. I was never told or notified before hand. They just don't tell you what they are doing until they complete the work, give you the bill and force you to pay for it. The worst business practice and untrustworthy people ever. read more
