So thankful once again to ALL the staff at LB Smiles. So my prior visit, two weeks earlier, I had my root canal completed by the Endodontist (I'm so sorry for forgetting your name :( nice Asian gentleman) and then Yes (she's great!) made my temporary crown and it stayed on with no issues up until the day my permanent crown came which was on Wednesday July 26th. Vanessa would help me on that day to remove the temp one and shave down the permanent crown until it fit perfectly. She was truly the best, made sure I was comfortable and reassured me that if it doesn't fit to my liking to tell her so she can make the proper adjustments. I can't even recall how long it took to complete, but it was quick for sure. I felt so comfortable there, it felt like it was only a few minutes. A million kudos to you guys because you were able to get this all done right before my Big Bear trip the next day! When I say everyone, I really mean EVERYONE was just so thoughtful of me there. You guys, THE STAFF, is what makes LB Smiles great. My wife and I are blessed to have found LB a place we can totally trust. I thank all of you for making every visit such a pleasant one. Below is a review of my overall experience with LB Smiles Dentistry thus far. Late last year I went to fix the crown of my tooth as well as, fixate a new bottom retainer. Everyone in the office was welcoming and the dentist who first examined my teeth and the one who did the procedures were both very informative and made me feel comfortable. This is very important at a dentist office! I was disappointed however, when the the next day after fixating my new retainer it fell off without any hard brushing of teeth or eating of hard foods. It was also frustrating trying to book an appointment soon after. I would leave messages and receive no message back. It's difficult to get a hold of someone when you work during normal business hours in my personal experience. Eventually I was able to reschedule my appointment and get my retainer fixed properly (with no charge) and I am satisfied with the service that was provided. Yesterday I called inquiring about a bill and was told I would receive a call back later in the day. I did not receive a call back. So this morning I spoke with the manager, Antwon Thomas and he was very thorough and attentive to my questions. I truly appreciate the time he took to answer all the questions that I had. He delivered excellent quality service. My only feedback for improvement regarding the business, based on my personal experiences, is that voicemails/messages are returned especially if you are told to expect a call back. Otherwise, I think everyone at LB Smiles strives to create a welcoming environment paired w quality service. read more

I joined this office in October 2020 and front office has never been friendly and I felt they really don't care about their patients....just give me the money and go sit down. I must say the staff in the back are very nice. I did see they had good reviews on Yelp and picked them because of that. Recently I've seen some pretty negative reviews! Maybe new office staff ? Whatever it is it doesn't seem to be working for this office. With my Dental Dental plan I receive 2 cleanings a year but last time I was there I was told it was only one cleaning a year and when I said that isn't right, a gentleman came forward and said he'd give me the discounted rate??? They kept telling me my plan says one cleaning but they are totally wrong as in my plan it states 1 cleaning every 6 months. When I got home, I found my benefit papers and have been calling them ever since......no one answers or returns my call!! I did get thru to billing one time in June and asked for my accounting of what I've paid since I joined they said they would send it and i've never received it. I have spoken to the support staff that takes there calls when they are too busy to answer and left messages but no calls back!! I'm over it and I've changed to a wonderful dentist office in Cypress! read more

Jeanette was amazing! She greeted me in the lobby and was very helpful! Being that it's Halloween, she was dressed in a really cool outfit, too! Later, she assisted me with costs and insurance. She was easy to understand and very kind in her explanations and mannerisms! She was helpful in a very sweet and nice way! Thank you, Jeanette! Dr. Abdulla was just as kind and great at going through any concerns and offered solutions! She has great bed-side manners and gives you the time to explain your concerns. She is very easy going and spends time explaining how the teeth and gums work and how certain problems could be caused and fixed. Thank you, Dr, Abdulla!! Nancy was great as the hygienist, too! Thank you, Nancy! The office in general is very clean and inviting. There is plenty of parking either right by the office or in the surrounding parking lot. staff was friendly but i had a check up with the periodontist (they call her Dr. S) she literally went in poked around my mouth for less than a minute BARELY explained anything to me, walked out and sent the financial person to fill me in. I came to Long Beach Smiles after having bad experiences at several other offices in the area. Because of that, I was naturally wary but I felt at ease as soon as I arrived. The receptionist (I did not get her name unfortunately) was incredibly kind and helpful. Once I was checked in, I was called back quickly. The x-ray tech was very efficient. The rest of my appointment went quickly and smoothly as well. Liz, the hygienist who did my cleaning was excellent as was Dr. Jaisingh. He went above and beyond to answer my questions. Overall, I am very happy with my experience, the whole team was professional, friendly, and experienced. I am thrilled to have found my new dentist office! read more

Help me understand. I called and scheduled an appointment for a cleaning, check up, and x-rays. I told them that I have Cigna Advantage insurance, and if they honor that discount? They said they were members of that program, and yes they would be glad to set up an appointment for me. So I show up today and they informed me that it was going to be $83. However on their website they have advertised for $59 cleaning, check up, and digital x-rays. So why is it that I have insurance and I'm paying more money. I just got up and left...... Update: after contacting six other dentist offices, my deductible will be zero out of pocket for my visit. I've made an appointment with a nice practice in Huntington Beach for next Saturday. read more

Had my first appointment yesterday and was very pleased with the overall experience. My appointment started on time and Yessica was very efficient with my x-rays. They do digital x-rays so it was much more comfortable and uses way less radiation. Dr. Marian Abdalla conducted my exam and thoroughly explained all my options all while making sure I was comfortable throughout the appointment. Their billing specialist, Erica, then walked me through the costs and payment options. I've had some bad dental experiences in the past but everyone I encountered went above and beyond to clearly communicate and make sure I was comfortable and understood everything that was happening. Worst dental experience to date. I got 2 root canals in February last year, they messed up ordering the new crowns so they were put on temporarily for so long that they got infected. They installed the crowns and after 6 months, my gums were still bleeding every time I flossed. I went in for a cleaning and they said not to worry about it and that it was normal. I waited a few more months and the problem didn't go away, so I went to get a second opinion. The new dentist told me the crown was installed wrong (there was a significant gap between the tooth and the crown that was holding debris in it) he told me to go back to the original dentist and demand that they fix it. I went back to Long Beach Smiles and they ended up fixing the crown, BUT they sent me a new bill for the work they did originally after I had this visit. I called them multiple times and even emailed them trying to resolve this issue, as well as calling my insurance to confirm they were paid (they were) they stopped returning my calls and would no longer pick up the phone when I called. Today I got a piece of mail saying the bill is now in collections for the exact amount my insurance company said they already paid them. So not only do I have a dental horror story about the infected crown, but their billing is now trying to screw me over by dodging my calls and sending a bill that's already been paid by insurance to collections. Way to act like a sham dental office. If you want an inconvenient experience, go to Long Beach Smiles. read more

My daughter just had her first visit at this dental office. The office is clean. Dr. Nochez was thorough and explained her dental health clearly. Our experience with Jeanette (treatment coordinator) however is the reason we will not return for treatment. Jeanette provided a treatment plan to my daughter after her exam. (I worked in the dental field as an office manager at a high end dental office in Los Alamitos and have many years of experience with discussing treatment plans, insurance benefits and reasons for specific treatments) I knew the percentages were off in terms of insurance coverage that were on the treatment plan. We contacted our insurance and verified our coverage. I called the office back and spoke with Jeanette about the treatment plan and this was her response "To be honest, I wouldn't waste my time with a pre-authorization, it takes 8 weeks to receive anything from the insurance, the oral surgeon is a subcontractor for the office & we do the billing so we have to make sure he gets paid upfront, you're welcome to find another office that doesn't use general anesthesia for wisdom teeth removal". This was AFTER asking for them to send a pre-auth electronically to the insurance as our insurance covers general anesthesia for 1 hour! We know this for a fact, my son just had his wisdom teeth removed at another office and the insurance paid $630 out of $700!! Her response should have been sure we will send the pre-auth as requested and contact you as soon as we receive it. She is INCREDIBLY unprofessional, provided false information and just doesn't know how to provide an ounce of decent customer experience. She wanted to collect $434 more than required to pay after insurance benefits. A shame the dentists have her speaking to patients about treatment. read more

I never leave bad reviews but this was such a bad experience, I felt obligated to. The sad thing is, the dentist here was great! I appreciated how attentive she was. The problem was, that her front office staff were terrible. I went in for a consultation for an implant and having HMO dental insurance, I assumed the bill would be a little pricey, but not $4300. I then pulled out my dental insurance information and it said the most I should have to pay was around $500. When I called the dental office back and informed Randy of this, he said he would call me back but never did. Two days later, I called again and spoke to a woman about this and she said there could be hidden costs that I'm unaware of and that she could submit this to the insurance carrier, but it would take 8 WEEKS to get a response! She recommended I pay out of pocket and try to collect money from my insurance - Yeah right! After that, I sought a second opinion from a PPO dentist who said with NO INSURANCE, they would charge me $1800. The PPO dentist still needed a CT scan though, and I knew Long Beach Smiles Dentistry already did this, so I requested it from them. The next day Randy sent it to me but he only sent me a screenshot of my scans, knowing very well my new dentist can't use that for my dental treatment. I called back and Darlene ended up sending the same thing to me. She finally sent the PPO dentist a QR code to access my X-rays but that wasn't helpful either. Long story longer, don't use this dentist. They will try to charge your insurance the maximum amount and you'll end up paying double then what is necessary. You're better off not having insurance and paying out of pocket for expenses. read more
