I called Long Beach Termite for a skunk issue that I thought we had. The care and service provided by Jeff was exceptional. Not only did he just look at the area that I thought the skunk might be staying at, but he examined the entire premise of my house to determine any other areas the critters could be staying at. When we realized we had a rodent problem I called one company and they couldn't send someone out until 2 days later. After they did their inspection, the quoted me $1500 to seal the entry points, set traps, and do 3 check backs. That price included a 1 year warranty for $800. The warranty was going to cost more than the work! And they wouldn't be able to do the work for at least a week. I immediately went looking for a 2nd inspection and came across LB Termite & Pest Control. Jeff showed up the same day, quoted me half the price of the previous company, and started the work immediately... in the rain! He came back the next day to complete the work... also in the rain. Since the initial visit, Jeff has returned to check traps at least 5 times and each time he came, he continued to evaluate possible entry points and sealed each one as they came up. Every time I thought of another possibility , he listened and found solutions. He set additional traps, changed out the types of traps, and came back for additional checks and he never charged us a cent over his initial quote! Okay- so nobody really wants to have a service call for pest control!!! But- meeting Jeff for the inspection of our home was really a delight. We live in a very old home and lately we have had some mouse visitors in our garage-- totally un-welcomed. We just had our house tented for termites by this company, and I have nothing but great things to say about it. The cost is reasonable and the service is extraordinary. Jeff is thorough in helping the client to prepare for the service. He is extremely knowledgeable and responds to all inquiries in a timely manner. The paperwork he supplies the occupants provides all the necessary information for preparing the dwelling. The workers are prompt and fast both at tenting the structure and at removing the materials. (It helps to have everything ready before they arrive.) Fumigating one's house is never something to look forward to, but this company takes the trauma out of the experience. I recommend Long Beach Termite & Pest Control without reservation. I had fumigation (tenting) and spraying done for two different kinds of termites. I am a purchasing agent by trade, and I did a full competitive bid for the work. I only solicited bids from companies yelp-rated 4.8 or above. I tried to choose local firms. I had complete inspections by 6 different companies. Long Beach Termite and Pest Control won the bid for a variety of reasons: (1) best knowledge of Long Beach laws/regulations relative to fumigation and repairs, (2) work would be done by company owner, not a subcontractor, (3) price, (4) services offered, and, in the end, (5) truthfulness in the bid. You are dealing with Jeff, the owner, who has decades of experience with larger firms, and is now doing this as his own small business. He was prompt to all appointments, called and texted as promised, and -- a great feature -- provided before and after pictures of all work done. Jeff was able to schedule the work to meet my other (life) commitments. He did some repair work (of termite damage) and the finished quality is completely satisfactory. He personally did the spraying work, which was a big job including a lot of trenching and drilling; his clean up afterwards is excellent. He did a number of small repairs (to keep rodents/etc. out of the house), providing the before/after pictures of all the fixes. And, while the actual tenting is subcontracted (by everybody), Jeff kept in touch with me throughout the tenting process; he checked the house every day and texted to let me know he was checking. (I also drove by, but there's not much to see.) (BTW, the tenting company was very responsive.) When you contract with Long Beach Termite & Pest Control you are dealing with the owner, Jeff, who is first and foremost knowledgeable -- but also polite, funny, thorough, and dependable. Jeff was extremely responsive to a problem we had with a smell in the kitchen from a dead rodent under the house right before Christmas - really bad timing! He arrived quickly and made a thorough inspection of the attic as well as any possible holes in the crawl space. He found and removed the culprit under the house and closed up the holes for a very reasonable price. When the smell didn't dissipate sufficiently, he went back under the house and did more inspection and insulation cleanup. He placed traps and scheduled a return in 5 days. Although the price was very reasonable for the amount of time he spent on this, he didn't want to charge me until he came back (I insisted on paying half). I needed a company that would come out and help with a pest problem that we had. I reached out this this company and Jeff called me back. He came to my house that day. Explained to him that we have a animal under our house and that because we had a little one I needed that animal gone asap. He also too the time to look around my house to see if there any small holes in which an animal could get in. He also looked at our vents and saw that they needed to be glued in. He did it ALL! He fixed all our vents, added protection to our garage door, by fixing the gap and put a trap out for our little not welcomed house guest. I think if you are looking for a pest control service company, you are probably in a less than ideal situation. In my case it was a rodent (gopher to be precise) and I was at my wits end. Jeff was not only quick in responding but was by far the most matter of fact and sort of a calming tone. Off the bat, his rates are very reasonable. No upselling at all. You know the first minute you spend talking with them that it is will be an honest assessment. At time of my inspection Jeff was beyond friendly and professional. He gave me his opinion which involved ways I could save money. About 10 seconds after I entertained saving money, I stopped and told him I was perfectly fine with having him do all the work at his standard rate because of the instant trust. He went above and beyond what I would have expected. Every single thing he tells you is filled with genuine customer service. Needless to say my rodent problem seems to be taken care of. I have asked him to continue services monthly. The level of service is so amazing, I am going to retire my pump sprayer and have him do his thing periodically.
