From my first phone call yesterday with Brandi and service today with Calvin, the experience was easy and quick. Brandi was helpful and courteous setting up a next day appointment for our ant problem. Calvin texted to let us know he was on the way, show up right in the window they promised, and was kind, informative, and efficient. We have little dogs and I was concerned about them but Calvin gave clear instructions on how long to wait for the spray to dry outside. Hopefully we don't see any more ants but if we do, we have 10 days to let them know and they'll come back out to troubleshoot. read more

I saw the service post on FB and I reached out to them. Very friendly and answered all of my questions. They offered to remove the wasps and also treat the house for other issues. Price was super competitive matching others but they offered to cover ants, spiders webs , spiders, and mosquitoes. Richy arrived and got to work. I thought I had 7-9 nests and we picked up 18 wasps nests. There was a lot of work to do and Richy was busy and super positive. No complaints or adding extra charges. This company was highly referred to us by two of my long term, trustworthy neighbors. I had previously contacted and discussed pricing with 4 other companies, to which we originally hired Terminix (waaaaay overpriced btw). After talking with so many different companies, I really appreciated the promptness and thoroughness in having all of my questions answered all while providing specific details. Prior to meeting Steve, I had communication with the owner who was also prompt and efficient with me while we communicated through Yelp projects. Steve was exceptionally knowledgeable and helpful every step of the way and made himself available during the entirety of the process. He was direct, patient and honest. The service I chose was tenting for termite fumigation to which I was told this work was done by another company they subcontract to (Pro Way Fumigation). This is important to know and note because I have never worked with a fumigation company and I'm not sure if this is a common practice or not, but I appreciated the transparency. I don't have a single complaint to report as overall I am pleased with the services provided, especially my interactions with Steve. However I do want to help someone out there have an even better experience. When Pro Way Fumigation arrived, there were 3 guys in my yard who came out of a truck already parked in my driveway pulling out a tent before they even rang the doorbell. It was quite alarming and nerve wrecking and I felt like I was being rushed out of my home. I was prepared and ready to leave but a quick doorbell ring, 5 minute recap of what they were there to do would've helped me feel a little better about letting strangers enter my home and less invasive. This review is actually long overdue. We hired 1st Stryke around October 2022 to help with our house fumigation and rodent proofing. I try to do at least 3 quotes when I'm hiring for a service and 1st Stryke was pretty competitive. Most homeowners know that owning a house is a never-ending money pit and I've dealt with my fair share of contractors for all sorts of house related things (windows, roof, gates, kitchen/bathroom remodel, etc...). I think what makes 1st Stryke different is how incredibly responsive their team is and that they really try to make things right if there are any hiccups. I'm a firm believer in that all sorts of weird stuff can happen in a process of a job, and it is how the company chooses to remedy the situation is what ultimately matters. If the ants returned in a specific time frame, they did not hesitate to return and got rid of everything. No questions asked. We had a bed bug problem. Those guys usually hide but we literally saw an adult bed bug which confirmed our suspicions. I called First Stryke and explained our situation to Bob who scheduled us for treatment as soon as he was available. He sent us directions on what to do to prepare for the treatment appointment. Since we just barely moved into our new home it didn't take us long to prepare. If you have a lot of clothes or little trinkets lying around, I'd suggest giving yourself enough time to prepare before the treatment date. Not going to lie, the instructions he sent were a little jank - they had some typos and seemed like they were made in a rush. After the first treatment, we were still getting bites. So, we set up another appointment for treatment (the multiple treatments are covered under your first payment within the first month). We were getting pretty hopeless and even asked Bob if we should just toss our mattress to speed up the process. Bob was very insistent that he could treat the bed bugs and that he wouldn't want us to do that because mattresses are expensive. I thought this was really considerate of him. It made me feel as though he cared more about us than about making his work easier and just making money. Bob was right. After the second treatment, our bed bugs were gone! It's been three months since then and there aren't any signs of bed bugs still! read more

I would describe my experience with 1st Stryke as unexpected and welcomed. The home my wife and I purchased needed so much TLC. When we bought it, the condition of our house was like stepping into a time capsule. Nothing had been updated since it was constructed in the early 70s. We've hired numerous company's/contractors for work, and because we are not made out of money, we've done many smaller projects ourselves, but finding the right person at the right price for the bigger projects is always our biggest challenge. Let me say that working with 1st Stryke has been a welcomed change of pace. The 1st Stryke team had a lot of work to do. The majority of the house's fascia boards and many other pieces of wood were rotted, termite-infested, and about as strong as a stale cracker. My wife and I decided to replace all fascia boards and any piece of damaged/rotted wood, along with installing a metal side garage door. These folks know what they are doing, and the job wasn't easy because of the age of the home. Not once did I feel like they were trying to rush the job just to get paid. Every time we had a concern, no matter what it was, they took the time to address instead of dancing around the issue making excuses. During this pandemic, I'm not sure if our house had some sort of silent signal to call out all critters but we've had roaches, birds and last night, a rat. We were able to manage the roaches on our own, and the birds apparently just came for a weekend getaway.... but the rat was making noises above our living room and driving my dogs crazy! Plus, I could barely sleep after we discovered it. Why do you discover a crazy pest problem in the middle of the night or on a weekend?! The universe loves to play jokes I guess... Initially called for termite problems. They helped to tent the house and also treat the underground termite issue. Because of severe flea problem outdoor, called them for regular pest maintainance to spray the front/back yard. The flea issue got much better after 2 treatments and have them over regularly since.
