If I could leave negative stars, I would rate them -50. I had Long Beach Tow come out for a simple tow to my mechanic. As the driver was unloading my car, we noticed a heavy gas smell. Turns out that the driver punctured the gas tank on my 1960 station wagon. Not an easy part to find. 2 weeks later, I'm still fighting with the company to pay the $477 bill. They claim they are only liable for $250. I am reporting them to BAR and BBB. Do not give this company your business!!! read more

I called Long Beach Tow to move my vehicle to an auto shop for repairs. I was quoted a time of 45 minutes. After 1hr 20min, and no tow truck, I called to check the status of my request. The receptionist was very rude and used a tone of voice with me like "why are you calling, I told you we were coming" - at this point she huffed and puffed and said the driver was on his way, but stuck in traffic and proceeded to quote me at least another 20-30 minutes. Then, about 20 minutes later, I received a call stating that they are canceling the service call and would not be towing my vehicle. WAIT, WHAT??!?! No reason was given. After 1hr 45min, I was left hanging without a tow truck and without any answers. NEVER AGAIN would I call this company. ZERO stars would be more appropriate. read more

OMG.. Worst towing service EVER..!! AAA and ALL insurance companies need to drop them.!! My wife called roadside assistance that is through out insurance company. Wait time was not acceptable, they took over an hour to get there. Mind you the car broke down in Long Beach and not the middle of the desert. I dove from Pomona to Long Beach and arrived before the tow truck. The driver was polite, he explained the car had to be stored at their yard because the dealership service department was closed. I said ok.. He said call the tow yard in the morning. Called the yard at 7:30am, the young lady who answered was very rude and would cut my wife off. I tried to speak with her and she did the same to me. After one or two words she would cut me off. I hung up the phone after telling her to let me speak. Very very very rude person working at the tow yard. Called my insurance CO and the towing service rep had the same experience with her as well. I would put a zero if I could. My wife has a terminal illness and needed to be in surgery at UCLA at noon. At ten we called GEICO to get roadside service explaining all of this, the tow company called back letting us know that they would be getting there as soon as possible. Then we got a text saying it would be an hour. This was cutting it close, but doable, but I called the company to see why it would take so long and see if we could get them here earlier, my wife is on oxygen and only had a two hour supply. The person on the phone was really ugly and said they would be there in an hour exactly and that they never missed an appointment. Just by her tone, I was pretty sure she was a liar. But we waited, an hour came and went, called them again, and they said they would be there in 15 to 20 minutes. I called GEICO and they called her got the same response. I waited, then called again, they told me another 20 minutes. At 11:45 I called and the lady told me that she was disgusted that I would call complaining, that they were doing me a favor, and that they would not be showing up. Don't use this company, if this is how they treat anyone....especially terminally ill folks. If I could I would tell everyone in Longbeach to take their business elsewhere. Awful. The tow driver who was "helping" me verbally harassed me while I was in the vehicle with him getting towed, and also kept hinting for me to "take care of him/help him out." I have never felt so degraded in my life. He got angry about towing my car to a different location without first clarifying it with me, and when we got to the location I requested he drove off. i went into a car accident on the way to airport, my friend now still in ICU. our car was towed by them, when i reached to our car, i checked all my poverties. my ipad, phone, cash,were stole. i am100% sure someone opened my bag and wallet stole them. Minus 100 stars. Really really RUDE lady and crappy management and liars. I went to the office because my car got towed (stupid parking lot lol). Anyways, i came to get my car. I was talking to her really calmly and asking questions about their service/fees. When I was about to sign the papers, I noticed she messed up on the plate number, vin number, and color of my car. They were off a few number so I cant really get away with it but anyways, i asked her if she could fixed them.. OMG how hard is it to fix those numbers on your computer and print it again??!! Hello.. I was helping you do your job correctly. She was rude! She messed up 3 times! My boyfriend was with me and he had to get into the conversation because she was talking to me rudely. She even got more rude and mad. She said in order for me to get my car, my bf has to go wait outside the property or she'd call the police. WTF. You were the one who needs to go in Jail B****. I didnt want to make this a big deal and told my bf to just go outside and i'll deal with her. Anyways, I checked my car, they left few scratches and left few chipped off paint. She told me they were going to call me within two weeks to get this fix. After two weeks i had to call them. I was going back and forth with them for months. OMG you don't even know!!! I called my insurance company for a tow because my car wouldnt start. They told me Long Beach towing would arrive in about 50 mins...1 hour and 30 mins later no one showed up..so I called back and they said there was traffic and they would be there in about 25 mins. Rip off...dishonest...car stopped...needed to be towed to my home..:I live 61st and Atlantic less than a mile from Orange and Market where my car was at...when I first contacted them on phone it was 6:30 pm..explained my location and was only told a tow truck driver will be calling me within 30 minutes to an hour...I said fine...but I was never quoted a price....that was the problem...when the driver arrived he told me it will cost $140.00...I was surprised and felt fooled..I declined his service...the driver called his manager...who offered a discount to $90.00...I still declined based on the deception...I was then told on the phone the hook up was $49.95 and the time being after hours...really 6:30 pm for a 24-7 service...yeah these guys really keep banking hours...ha ha...anyway the manager said it will cost you $60 to $70 dollars just to get that tow from anyone else...even if he's right...I still thought this is too much to pay for a 1 mile tow..I refused the service and found a better solution...which is what I tried to do in the first place..call my insurance company for road service...they towed my car home...under my policy coverage...moral of the story ask for all the prices up front...and you won't get surprised by companies or individuals who do buisness this way. read more

I would leave zero stars if I could. I have never been treated so poorly on the phone by their customer service. Roadside was scheduled to come give me a jump and after an hour and a half of waiting he called one time, we got disconnected and he didn't call back, leave a voicemail or text. I tried to call him back and call the company to no avail. When I did get in touch they had no remorse and told me to call back my insurance and hung up. I would never recommend this company nor would anyone else I'm guessing from the previous reviews. If your roadside assistance is sending this towing company I would cancel immediately and ask for a different company as well. read more

Had the pleasure of witnessing the driver of LBT tow truck with CA license plate #8N15692 try to run off the road the driver of a Nissan on the 55 Fwy @ 4:26 AM this morning (09/08/14). After riding the Nissan"s bumper with less than 5' between them, the driver of the tow truck passes the Nissan and promptly proceed to cut in front of it and hit the brakes. This prompt the Nissan's driver to turn on his high beams to which the two truck driver responds by turning on every rear facing light in his truck, effectively temporarily blinding everyone on the freeway. Of course, the road rage did not end there. The tow truck driver then decides to pull over two lanes to the right and allow the Nissan to get even with him and then decides to get next to him and play "Nascar" with the Nissan by trying to share the Nissan's lane. Their driver needs to stripped of his license and fired by LBT. LBT should be thankful that their driver did not kill someone this morning! read more

I was told there was heavy traffic and the tow would be there in 30 minutes; however, this deadline was not met either. After continually being told it would be another 15-30 minutes but to no avail, I finally cancelled the tow and went with another service. I would not recommend this company. read more

Typical towing sheister tactics. Locked my keys in my car, called these guys only because they were close. Asked the guy on the phone the cost of retrieving my keys and was told $45. Fair enough. Eventually the driver finds my place, and only then do you find out $45 is for the "service call only" and and additional $80 is for getting into the car. Driver says "you should've asked for the COMPLETE charge on the phone" when I mentioned this. Freaking lame a-hole tactic, because no matter if I said no to the surprise $80, I'm still getting charged $45 for the "service call" or I imagine they'd come back and tow my car to get the fee. Driver was kind enough, I suppose it's not his fault he works for the a-hole intentional liar I got on the phone. Buy 2 memberships to AAA instead (where this service is free with a membership) and save $10 off a single Long Beach Towing visit; that's what I should have done. read more

Our insurance company arranged the towing and the driver was rude and didn't even ask where I want the car to be towed to but said he was going to tow the car back to his yard. I said no and asked him to tow the car to an auto body shop. Half way to the body shop, they turned around and towed the car back to their yard as they wanted to do at the first place. Their excuse was the body shop didn't answer their calls. They were lying!! Now they wanted to charge me $500 for overages and if I dont pay this they will not lease the car to anyone else. Hands down the worst company. I had roadside assistance call due to a dead battery and needed a jump. So they informed it was gonna be about an hour which I understood but after waiting 3 hours and having the company say they had a driver on the way it'll be about 30-35 due to traffic was bullshit and then after about 3 hours get cancelled by them and luckily a friend of mine drove by and saw me and jump started my car for me. How do you expect to keep good customer service when it takes 3 hours to go somewhere simple in LONG BEACH yet your company name is LONG BEACH TOWING. If I could give this so called towing company -0 stars, I would. I was on my way to work and got a flat tire. Insurance sends Long Beach Towing & Storage. I'm waiting around for a good hour and half and no tow truck. I call the insurance company and they call the towing company. Long Beach Towing tells the insurance agent that they called me twice after driving around looking for me and my car. I told the insurance agent that it was complete B.S.! I received numerous phone calls, and not one was from the towing company. If they had, in fact called, why didn't they leave a message? Also, I was anxious to get to work, so I was definitely on the look out for the tow truck. Guess what? I didn't see a single one. When I called the insurance agent again, she expressed her frustration with Long Beach Towing and Storage. Each time she called, nobody answered the phone. I've been calling as well to give this stupid company a piece of my mind and my call just drops. DO NOT USE THIS PIECE OF SHIT "TOWING COMPANY"!! Speaking to the receptionist on the phone made me feel like she didn't want to talk to me, but when I arrived I realized that they were very busy and were trying to work out a lot of problems at the time. Everyone was rather friendly, especially the boss and the drivers. The receptionist was rather stern, blunt and rather bad at multitasking, but she gets the job done. I was there for quite a while waiting around. Maybe a little under 75 min. I was overcharged which was my main problem. The accident that I was in happened less than 5 miles away and somehow the bill ended up being $440 for just the towing and "extra labor". Normally it is $10 a mile plus $65 for hook up which is what they charged me for towing my car from their facility to the mechanic. But the tow from the accident to storage was charged $175 an hour and apparently it took him TWO hours to do it. When I asked about it the receptionist said that's what the driver wrote down and he's not here so she can't do anything about it. I was unpleased, but my insurance seemed to cover the expense so I left it unresolved. Lastly they charged my $150 for 3 days worth of storage. I didn't dispute this charge, but $50 a day seemed a little steep. I probably won't use them again even though they were nice to me through most of the ordeal. Though I'm very grateful they picked me up in the middle of the night while it was raining. They are just very unorganized and probably prone to overcharging due to this fact. read more

DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY! The woman that answers the phone (MELISSA is her name) is an AWFUL person. State Farm uses this company for their roadside assistance. I was told 45 when state farm called to follow up I told them no one was here so they called LB Tow and came back to me it will be another 15 min. After 20 I decided to call LB Tow direct and was told driver was in route and will be 5 min. After another 15 min I called and this horrible individual WENT OFF ON ME! I mean called me ever 4 letter word in the book. Don't get me wrong I was frustrated, but never is it ok to CUSS OUT your customers. I can't imagine how or why an employer would have a person like that representing their company. I asked for a supervisor, but was told there isn't one. She then proceeded to tell me she is cancelling my request. About 5 min later the driver did show up as I walked out he drove off. I called State Farm who called her and she REFUSES service to me. I've never in my 44 years been treated so poorly by anyone. If I could give ZERO stars I would. Thank goodness State Farm documented my entire experience. This towing company is trash! My first encounter with them was June 2013. I needed a flat bed to pick my truck up, these people are not not thorough, they are very sloppy. They dispatched out a regular tow truck, I canceled when they told me it would be an additional hour. They replacement tow was very fast, accurate, and friendly! My second rodeo with them was today, the trash "Dispatcher" is lazy and small minded. You cannot ask her a question without her diva attitude snapping off. I called after 45 minutes of waiting and she yelled at me and said they were still within their ETA. What did that have to do with giving me an answer. I would not recommend this people. In fact I am going to file an official complaint with road side. It's clear from the complaints that these people are not business oriented.
